Let's discuss some of the most ridiculous reviews IGN has done.
>Pokemon AS/OR "Too Much Water"
>>322547960
>caring this much about reviews
>>322551054
It's not that I care, it's that I enjoy the entertainment of IGN's retarded reviews
>>322547960
This used a common complaint but now that it was used in a review it's no longer ok to dislike gen 3's water routes.
>>322550856
what in the actual fuck
>>322547960
Too much gimmicky water traversing has been a problem since the original RSE iteration.
Why call this ridiculous?
>>322552165
Because it's definitely on the list of what most people would call "ridiculous" coming from a professional game review.
That and it's purely an example, if you want my honest opinion I don't like Pokemon in general and don't care how the games are reviewed, they're all complete garbage to me.
I just want to enjoy some other ridiculous IGN or other professional game reviewers take on games.
>>322547960
They were absolutely right but retards decided to take the bullet point and turn it into a retarded meme
>>322552412
so is the water thing like a meme for them or something?
>>322552607
Pokemons complete garbage imo, idc what shitty reviews it gets, just the first example that came to mind.
>>322551328
The issue is simple, IGN is considered a "professional", and I use the term loosely, reviewer. So their scoring of the game IS NOT AN OPINION. Wikipedia and other review gathering sites will factor in that score, and a bad score... doesn't really mean much. But a perfect score might make it to the box art of a GOTY edition or some such.
How did IGN become so influential, yet so infuriatingly stupid?
>>322552607
But ORAS doesn't have that much water at all, most water sections are linear as well. Unlike the other games.
Another complaint was too many HMs, that is a legitimate complaint because HM mechanics are fucking shit.

>"Too Much Water"
It's been a long time since I played RSE, but I feel like they dramatically shortened the water routes in that game. Not to mention there's only about four times when traveling over water is essential in that game, right?
I feel like they were just trying to play along with the big joke those games have been a part of for years. It's like hearing your grandpa make a "pants on the ground" joke or something.
>>322553408
It would've been the same thing if they said "Too Many Trumpets".
