I missed all the discussion about this game, if there was any, and would like to hear /v/'s opinion. I beat it one day and it didn't seem as dense as Killer7. All I can say that was good was the visuals and that David was awesome.
It's my personal goat, I love the simplicity of the fights. No fucking clue what's going on in the story and how unicorns are important tho
It feels significantly cut down, like Grasshopper ran the fuck out of money halfway through.
It's basically Killer 7's incomprehensibility, No More Heroes' swordplay significantly improved, but the whole thing feels sort of token and hollow.
the game would be better if it was so one button. once you get the way enemies attack you can just dodge and mash all day.
the story is like they were just high all the through and just said fuck it
>no good Mika sexing
It was quite alright, though it fell apart near the end and then just decided to stop. I felt that it tried to recreate the Killer7 feel, but only came off as more confusing.
After I played Deadly Premonition I realized I enjoy weird Jap games and naturally I picked up Killer is Dead, it was fun as shit for one playthrough although it did get a bit stale by the end, story is basically nonsense but overall it's something fresh and a great way to get some joy out of video games while every new game tries so hard to push for realism and heavy action scenes, it's just nice to stare at womens lingerie and enjoying interesting visuals.
I got like 6 missions in?
Game looks gorgeous but thats the only thing making me want to play it. The combat is extremely shallow which is a death sentence for a hack & slash/ character action game.
>tfw hate mika but at the same time want to fuck her brains out
The power of the genki girl. You know she'd be a fantastic fuck.
I always had soft spots for redone classical pieces. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ap1ea8bvMgw
You're not wrong, it's unfortunate too. Suda games have always been limited in terms of gameplay and made up for it with story and style. So 1) the story not managing to do so this time and 2) being of a genre who's ordinary fans are extremely gameplay critical is a really bad negative.
Secondly most of the Suda games are usually unique in terms of gameplay even if they're not good, KiD has nothing AND it's shallow.
actually i like the defensive stuff you can do. the perfect dodge into multi slash attack never got old for me. also trying to get the combo gauge higher was enjoyable just wish there were harder enemies that you could use it on that wouldnt be dead so quickly.
