>Reach over for WiiU Gamepad
>Hit the power button
>"That's weird, I thought it was fully charged."
>Plug in cable
>light doesn't come on
>Start to panic
>Shove the charger in and out
>Plug the cord in a different outlet
>plug it in the cradle
>Leave it unplugged for an hour
>Gamepad won't charge
>Barely used the console since I bought it on Christmas
>Paid for it with cash
>Lost the receipt
I'm fucked, aren't I?
Tried that. Just left the cord laying on the floor for an hour before trying again. Still nothing.
How much does that cost? I spent half a year saving up for this shit, I really can't afford another lemon.
This same thing happened to me 6 months after I got mine. See if you can still warranty it through Nintendo; it'll take a while but fuck it.
Now, with that being said, 90% of the time when a gamepad is unresponsive like that, the battery pack inside is dead. 3 days shipping, and like $15.
OP you're fine, this exact thing happened to me when I replaced a broken LCD screen on the gamepad. The battery is most likely malfunctioning for some reason.
To fix it just unscrew the back cover and disconnect/reconnect the battery a couple of times. If it still doesn't work the battery might be dead, you can get a replacement battery for chump change.
Repairing a Wiiu gamepad is way, way cheaper than buying a new one.
I would, but Nintendo insisted on using these tiny-ass little screws instead of anything normal. The next thing I'm going to do is find an eyeglass repair kit so I can take it apart, then try a new charging cable, then hang myself if it's anything more major.
It is, but 4chan PS4 memers pretend it isn't so they can say they have no flaws.
Anyways, OP, try and get a new battery pack before going crazy.
Buy a small ass screwdriver then. Much cheaper than a whole new Gamepad.
Thank you for all the advice anons, I'm feeling a bit better knowing that it might just be the battery. If this thread's still up, I'll confirm whether or not everything works out after I get some new screwdrivers.
Xbot here, fuck off fag, Mario Kart 8 has bought infinitely more joy to the world than The Order 1886
