When was the last time you liked the main character of a jrpg? Pic unrelated.
I liked all the characters, and Shulk's a cool dude
Emil and luca are pretty much the only bad protagonists and they are both from games the fans hate. The protagonists either are ok or great in tales. They even made a silent protagonist relatable
This dude right here.
Initially I thought "Oh great, another mute, emo jrpg protagonist"
Then I played the game and it became clear he was just a very old, very tired man who had seen a serous amount of shit. So much shit that he had forgotten more than he remembered. Just drifting about, trying to find purpose and doing what he does best. Then I met his family. Manly goddamn tears.
Generally a cool dude
Rean isn't that bad in all honesty
She's pretty much the main character since the main character's a fucking mute who's her bitch
Back in 2008, with Opoona.
Minato from P3 was a second, back in 2011.
I don't understand where this came from, apparently people in other countries burst out laughing cause he has a "goofy" face.
Like seriously, is it that unusual for you to see a long face man in cinema that you just can't help but laugh at a mans face?
Riki was surprisingly nuanced for the obligatory cutesy fluffball mascot character.
He's dopey and earnest without being obnoxiously naive nor dies he get all angsty despite tragic shit befalling him.
It also helps that the entire cast is just really tight and plays off of each other well.
Noel from ff13-2 is just kinda "Hey there's a fucking thing let's go check it out or kill it" and only gets a little bit melodramatic towards the end when shit starts getting real with his waifu.
