Rust is pretty good, probably one of the few in-alpha development games with potential. The devs are constany updating and improving the game, but the downside is it's far from finished so you'll probably end up getting bored quickly. Unless if course, you love building bases over and over again.

OP's story is probably fake, but this shit did go down once the update happened.

People were legitimately pissed that their character was now dark skinned and complained to Facepunch about it.

In-game, many people ran with the skin change update and did act more hostile towards darker skinned people, even if it was for fun. Kill on sight was already rampant in Rust, but adding in darkies just made it worse.

Shit was hilarious, but also says a lot about social interactions.
