When they are either bullet sponges or you have to strafe around them to kill them
The illusion on difficulty is there for sure
>those fat cunts in shadow of mordor that always fucked up your combo
>AI can use sidearms with a riot shield
>you can only use the riot shield when equipped
> you can easily vault over the riot shield and instantly kill them from behind
>you can either shoot them in the head through the letterbox slot, shoot their feet, or rip the shield away with a special ability
man ME3 got few things right but that there was one of them
>enemies that can only be damaged from behind
>you have no quick move to get behind them so you just have to try to run around and attack
>they can turn around whenever they want to and instantly damage you
fuck you legend of zelda
fuck you binding of issac
>accidentally pick up riot shield
>get shot while fumbling around trying to pick up my weapon again
>riot shields in a multiplayer game
There is nothing better
>all attacks knock you backwards
>it's a platforming section
I thought I was obviously referring to these enemies in this game, but whatever.
I'm not talking about that skill (which is also in WW as a counter for Darknuts btw) I'm talking about the normal lock on and dodge roll to the side. All the 3D ones let you do it at least.
WW had this as well.
The only other instances I can think of where an enemy had to be hit from behind were those living statues that no one ever complains about and were so insignificant I don't even recall there name.
>>you have no quick move to get behind them so you just have to try to run around and attack
I even brought up BoI, which is heavily-inspired by the original Legend of Zelda and has similar enemies.
Come on, anon...
Shit, I'm just retarded.
I knew about those too, It's just 4 in the morning and my mind is currently prioritizing it's functions.
Unless they suddenly decide to turn and dodge your bomb. I believe it also took two bombs to kill the blue ones.
I just swung at the sides of them hoping the game would register my attack as a back attack.
>armored enemies that use big machine guns
>weak point is their back
>You can vault over their riot shields and kill them
>You can take their shields and use them to rush other enemies
>You can wear the shield on your back to block bullets
Uncharted made riot shield enemies fun
>game gives you guns
>they are weaker than swords
>Spent whole of summer just playing S&D with my friends
>All of classes consisted of a Riot Shield, a random secondary of their choice. I usually had an RPG7, C4, Smoke Grenade, Scavenger, Cold Blooded and Ninja
>All games would just be all of us hiding near the bomb sites on Defence, or Rushing to A or B on offence.
>The confusion of seeing a whole team of riot shielders from the other team
>All games became one of us drawing fire away from some guy, then when he had to reload check a C4 at him or shoot an RPG7 at him
>Since they'd usually bunch together a lot of the time to try and get us, we'd doubles and triples a lot of the time
>Eventually they'd try and noob tube us, but someone would have blast shield for some reason meaning they never die from a direct hit, and we'd be able to kill them easily
>Never lost a game by doing this
If times did get hard, the team would usually switch out to some other weapon, but I'd always stay loyal to my shield, rp7 and c4.
