What are some games that will make me feel the vastness of space?
Hard Mode: Must have actual gameplay -- No Universe Sandbox or Space Engine.
Master Ninja: No Kerbal Space Program
FTL is pretty good senpai
space engineers maybe? I dont remember if it's procedural like minecraft though

well freespace will make you feel the vastness of the enemy capital ship bearing down on your tiny fighter, and since the capital ship has to fit into space, that also needs to be vast
hope that helps

Gal Civ II on largest possible map with only a few AI opponents.
No Man's Sky will probably be like this when it releases.
Also Pulsar: Lost Colony, but it's in early access and requires a team to work together to crew the ship, so you need friends.

EVE
Seriously, when you encounter truly massive ships and get involved in humongous battles raging across vast star systems, you will understand what a tiny pissant you truly are in the massive universe.
If you want to feel the vastness of space, definetly elite dangeorus
elite dangerous nugga
Elite Dangerous Horizons
bonus: you can land on planets
Elite Dangerous
OK, elite dangerous and EVE look pretty damn interesting. especially new horizons.
Are there any games like this in single player?

You could check out the old Elites, or Noctis IV.
But really, the way I understand it, Elite: Dangerous isn't actually all that multiplayer heavy.

Elite dangerous has single player mode

you can play the old elite series but it's pretty shit compared to the new one
I'm going to go with New Horizons, and I'm watching gameplay of Noctis IV right now to see if it's up my alley. Thanks for the help!

space hounds that explode
I just started playing E:D after not touching it for a year and a half.
It makes me feel insignificant

Evochron mercenary has been sitting in my steam wishlist forever, I've heard it's good. Just fly around in space doing space things

That looks amazing. And it will probably run well on my 7870 as well.
