are you into scifi horror? then yes, definitely. but don't expect a game like amnesia. soma is much more about story than spooks.

God no. It was long-winded and stopped being scary/interesting in the slightest after the halfway mark. Still 8/10.

Best horror belongs to SOMA.

Layers of Fear, although early access, was probably the most impressive horror game of 2015.

Bloodborne had the best horror design by a mile.

Since Frictional is open-minded, the game is more story-driven than anything they've put out. It's more of an exploration story w/ horror elements. It's absolutely amazing but very short and not as scary as the Amnesia series.

I just beat it not too recent (PS3) and my only complaint about the pacing is that it's heavily padded out. Every step forward is accompanied by two steps back and mix that with the Alien always around slowed the game to a crawl. Mix that with late game androids getting a heavy buff made once tense moments into down right frustrating. None the less it's a solid 7, would be perfect if it didn't suffer from horrible load times and frame rates dropping into the single digit.
