Why does Apple get all the vidya?
Is Apple popular in Japan or something?
Pretty much.
It's either Apple or Sony for phones (since they can't into actual good android phones), and they don't buy consoles anymore because they're too big for their apartments, so smartphones are now getting the lion's share of the vidya.

But why do companies like Capcom pretty much ignore Android?

Sony makes great Android phones though.

Apple users are more likely to spend more money. Plus impulse buys.
It's also simpler to design games for apple phones for obvious reasons.

Because Android users are more used to free software, whereas the Apple App Store tends to command higher prices.

Not compared to OnePlus or LG.

No it's because it's hard to convince android user to pay in advance.
>tfw just bought an iPad
>tfw no emulators or controller support without jailbreaking
>tfw no crack for 9.2 yet
>No Monster Hunter
>No Ace Attorney
>No Dust AET
>No Bioshock
>That Windwaker clone I forgot the name of
I want some good vidya but fuck paying $750 for a port machine

>received iPod Touch years ago for christmas
>use it over the years as a surrogate smartphone with Skype
>reach a point where I can't install anything new on it because stuck at iOS7
>get a Galaxy S5 because I want to add more storage/replace the battery instead of the entire device
>check the Play Store
>practically everything I paid money for in iOS is free on Android
Shit's fantastic.

This is my first Apple device and I'm amazed how locked down this shit is.
Google is a fucking saint compared to these assholes.

Apple has consultant hardware parity across all their devices. They have a "universal" middleware called Metal so everything works on all devices the same thus maximizing profits with no optimization time.

>Less devices to test for.
>Pretty much everyone has the newest version of the OS
>Apple user are more likely too spent money.
>Better store
Could go more in the detail but this should give you a rough understanding.
Because smartphones are a massive audience, many many times bigger than any video game platform, and because iOS users are an audience that has always been willing to pay for content, which means developers focus almost exclusively on it and ignore other platforms as second-rate (e.g. Android) or don't bother at all.
