>Final boss is you from the future
>Final boss is looks like one of your best friends but he actually is the dark side of your heart
>Final boss is the main character from the last game
>Final boss is your father's rival who now thinks he is your brother
>Final boss is the same from previews games but now is more crazy
>Final boss is the same in every mainline game, but in this game you control him and have to fight darkness who looks exactly like him
>Final boss is your ancestor who was the main character too
>Final boss is the plot device that you used the whole time to fix things
>Final boss is death itself
>Final boss is a shota who becomes Dio who later becomes a demon
>Father is your son
>The final boss is a random boss monster you beat 3 times already
>The main villain falls to his death without ever fighting you
That usually happens due to:
Budget/resource cuts, setbacks during development with no schedule flexibility or the release date moved up.
Though I'm sure there's cases of the developer just being uncreative.
Happens in Lunar Dragon Song word for word. The final cutscene was a complete mess.
Happens to a lesser extend in Brave Fencer Musashi when you never fight any of the enemy generals or their leader. You never deal with any of them via cutscene either, they sort of just vanish or get themselves killed It. Unlike Dragon Song, is still is a good game though.
>The final boss is a fusion of everyone's fathers
This fight was rad as Hell, besides the bullshit instant kill a random amount of party members move.
>Final boss kills your father
