>want to replay mgs3
>remember that big boss is a cowardly faggot who betrays his friends and goes into hiding under a false identity
>no longer want to replay mgs3
I think it's not so much that he became a villain, it's that he became so cowardly that he was fine with having one of his own soldiers be brainwashed into being him and taking all his heat.
He denies something's existence because he doesn't like it
did MGSV fuck up everything to do with mgs?
>wanted to take a shit
>remembered my toilet had other people's ass on it
>no longer want to shit
>end up shitting my pants
Fuck you faggot.
>He considers any MGS past 3 canon
4 is a billion times worse than V
>Yfw you realise the oter haven uprising was BB taking over and solid was sent by the patriots
>Yfw MG2 is Venom boss extracting that oilex scientist and his band of misfit war orphans
>Yfw the body of BB that the foxhound unit demand and the body of BB that ocelot wants are different because they cant tell the difference
For me it did.
It made me feel regret that I wasted years of my life caring about the franchise, discussing the franchise in depth with people, building up how Big Boss' descent would happen in my head, only for MGSV to happen.
Now I find myself forgetting it exists, Metal Gear just doesn't register as anything in my brain anymore.
I would say so. It was a fucking disappointing game that decided it would explain one thing that no one gave a shit about.
You knew beforehand that Big Boss would become a dastardly vilain in the end. I always fail to see the surprise on how big of a cunt he eventually and naturally becomes.
If he did it so cowardly, then it fits the role.
>not realizing that Kojima was just making shit up as he went
There was never originally a descent in Big Boss, Kojima just turned him into a good guy in the past so he could avoid following 2.
>MGS3 comes out
>oh cool, so he was a tragic villain after all
>oh cool, that's where Outer Heaven came from and the acceptance of the Boss title
>PW comes out
>oh, oh okay so that's actually where Outer Heaven came from and the actual acceptance of the Boss title
>GZ comes out
>So that wasn't Outer Heaven?
>V comes out
>is this the new Outer Heaven?
>wasn't even the real Big Boss
What a stupid bloody rollercoaster
Kojima originally wanted it to be much more focused on the PMC aspect, along with the weapon customization.
The reason why the game is so fucked is because it had to get rushed
You don't play as Big Boss tho faggot. You play as Naked Snake.
I know they are technically the same person but when he was still Naked Snake he was actually a good person not fucked in the head.
There's a lot of mechanics underneath the gameplay, but none of it is ever fully realized. In V everything fits together perfectly but because the story doesn't end at the beginning of MG it's somehow less finished???
Couldn't give a fuck about Metal Gear anymore.
I'm interested to see Kojima's next game though, he works better with a deflated budget, as proven by Ground Zeroes and PT.
Both of which were better crafted games than MGSV in terms of design.
>want to replay mgs3
>remember all the cutscenes so that by the time you get to actual gameplay 2 hours will have passed and even after that you'll be constantly interrupted by fucking cutscenes or codec calls
>remember the endgame with the neverending chase sequences and the escort mission
