Would you buy Neon Genesis Evangelion (Nintendo 64, Ban Dai, 1999) if it was released on the Virtual Console for $10?
Yeah.
Yes.
Maybe.
Ye... No.
>no Mari
pff, no
Fucking put more N64 games on there.

FUCK MARI I WANNA CURB STOMP HER SO BADLY
FANSERVICE GTFO
It's silly how Eva 64 has better Eva models than the PS2 games

I'm trying to play this on emulator, but i either don't know how to play, or it's not fun at all.
The presentation and graphics are amazing, but i don't know if you can do much more than punching your enemy with a 3 hit combo and covering yourself.
Am i missing something?
>waiting for/buying N64 games on eshop when you can effortlessly emulate them through vWii homebrew for free in less than 10 minutes

The game's mechanics are similar to the Ultraman game on SFC (which is also made by ban dai).
You have to build up your synchro rate and depending on the % of it, you can perform different attacks on your enemy and extend your combo attacks, but in order to do that you have to break their AT Field first.
Look up some walkthrough online to see more details, also the controls change depending on the mission, the first 2 mission are 1 vs 1 fights, but then you have the Ramiel mission which is an aiming mission, or the Israfel mission which is more similar to a rhythm game.
Admittedly the game is not exactly great, but it does a good job at being a playable version of the tv series and movies. It's good fanservice.
Yeah, heard it's actually decent.

I always forget how smooth N64 games look.
Sure, they are low-poly, but damn.
>>322339175
Don't skip the intro to the levels, it shows all the controls you need.
What ever your synch-ratio is determines what sort of attacks you do and your power. If you have enough synch-ratio press A and B at once to perform a grapple. Press up or down and attack to do different attacks, press B at the same time an enemy attacks to evade its attack. Press down C to activate your AT field, I think if you alternate mashing down C and A you can keep it up for longer, and is a key when you get into an AT field struggle.
Also when you are able to knock your enemy far away you can hold R and run towards the enemy, and you can get a QTE in which you press the attack button as your eyes light up to perform a running attack. You can also hold up and attack as well while doing this to do a jump attack.
Mission three is super easy and can be done in seconds.

>third impact day is over
I tried it and felt the controls were painfully unresponsive. But that might be just me.
Speaking of evangelion games did anyone play 3nd impact?
>>322334857
No.
Already own it. Like the little hologram cards it came with, too.
>>322345476
how much did it cost? I've been trying to hunt it down but it's rather pricey.
Is this game hard to understand without JP knowledge, or is there perhaps a translation patch?
/v/ has talked about this game more than every other N64 game combined.
Anybody played the PS2 sequel? Does it hold up?
>>322347551
Just mash buttons until things work. That is what I did when it first came out.
i still cant believe there's a rei maker game
No but I would buy an Asuka dating sim if someone ever made one.
>>322349765
this almost exists in the form of the game i mentioned here >>322349589
it's an evangelion themed princess maker game
>>322349765
>Third Impact was yesterday
>my ego still hasn't combined with Asuka's
IT'S NOT FAIR
>>322349967
she came out of the tang, you will never be combined with her
>>322349965
Is this good? Can you piss off Asuka and then kiss her furious mouth gently?

Best way to learn Japanese free?
>>322350310
the best way is years of daily dedication constantly interacting with the language and seeking to clear up things you don't yet know about it
whether or not this costs you money is up you, but i will say that classes are useless
>>322351073
Is it worth downloading one of those digital teaching packs or whatever just to get started?
>>322351192
probably not. go look at the DJT on /a/ for a general guide on what you should do. specifically the guide in the OP. note that i haven't read it in a while, i don't follow the methods prescribed in it to the letter, and the entire thread is a den of shitposting
>>322349414
I'm not sure if it's actually intended to be the sequel to the N64 game.
The game is good but mostly because of the classified information stuff, the PSP version is better as it includes even more alternate scenarios.
>>322349965
GoS2 sucked so much, doesn't hold a candle to the original. It looks like a doujin game.
>>322353386
Well, it has 2 in its title, so one can only assume.
>>322334857
fuck no
>>322353575

Anno said in an interview that the 2 meant that this was a conceptual follow up to the series, in the sense that its eva again, but this time you choose how the story goes.
Trailers even used the catchphrase "Now you are the director".
>>322347551
It's mostly pretty intuitive and an action game. You just need to understand the basic game system (synch ratio, etc), but there's english guides online.
>>322354181
I see. That would make sense I suppose, but it still looks like it plays a bit like the N64 game.
>>322353575
So Anno is George Lucas now?
>>322355010
>now
>>322355010
The title of the japanese GL goes to Kojima.
Anno is japanese Kubrick.
