So how come noone ever talks about this?
It's actually surprisingly fun.
Not at all, it does the whole shorcuts, secrets and interconnected levels better than Dark Souls at times.
And combat is a bit rough around the edges, but enjoyable.
>like a game
>immediately called a shill
Never change /v/
Having shortcuts and secrets isn't what makes level design in Souls games so good. It's about putting together the levels so that they follow basic rules but still constantly surprise you; that they're interesting and allow for multiple playstyles while acting like a puzzle. That they give you a decent idea of where to go without holding your hand
For like a year and a half.
By now it seems all the bugs have been ironed out.
A word of warning though - it's a performance hog.
On a 4670k/970 I can keep 60 fps most of the time, some drops here and there to 50 or so, but it eats 7+ GB of system RAM and all my VRAM.
It's a clone, but my impression is that it's not trying to be DaS.
It reminds me of Enclave and Darksiders, even Rune more than it does about DaS. I'm not saying there aren't some blatant similarities they copied, but it is it's own game.
I would say it's worse than DaS in quite a few things, but still a pretty enjoyable ARPG.
Except we had threads about this game EVERY FUCKING DAY with the EXACT SAME OP for weeks in a row. Only shills talk about this shit game.
It's a shitty Souls clone with some of the worst bullshit DRM in the industry.
It was too slow and clunky and the dodge roll felt worse than DaS2.
multiplat. but it has shitty performance on pc as well on console, at launch it crashed on pc, ps4 and xbone regurarly.
and 3.3 gb vram for a few corridors. at least unity had more detail.
>the dodge roll felt worse than DaS2.
>enemy winding up their attack to hit you
>push b to roll out of the way
>stand there and get hit
even demons souls has better response times. not complaining because i understand it's a mechanic that you have to get use to but come on.
I want to buy this game so bad but I know that it will just be another game I forget to play.
I'm actually starting to complete games 100% and starting with Alien Isolation, I might still pick up this game to complete it.
yeah, bretty gud. better than dark souls, that's for sure, and not ruined by its awful fanbase. graphics are amazing and the devs are pretty chill.
i'd suggest you check out its dlcs, you'll like them even more than the base game
>better than dark souls, that's for sure
its alright i guess.i like that the combat feels somewhat "heavy" and playing as a big guy is a plus but game felt somewhat exhausting, level design was boring and art design was nothing special. also did the boss fights drag on not even funny
