Is there any videogame where western styled characters fight vs eastern styled characters?
If not, why noone did one already? The idea is nuts.
>Gentlemen are you ready to sign?
That anon is slightly confused.
To answer your question Disney has bought Marvel, but that's not why MvC stopped. Marvel Studios (in charge of the cinematic Marvel movies that have been coming out) and Marvel Comics (in charge of the...well if you don't know this there's no point explaining, you might as well stop reading here) began focusing on "synergizing" a bunch of their properties to better reflect the movies.
Subsequently their shows, comics and other media have been cutting ties with most secondary material that isn't relevant to the movies, injecting movie aesthetics into said shows, comics and other media and generally just running a road roller over their image to flatten things out. That's where MvC got cut, notice that MvC3 had a lot more properties that were or would be in movies Marvel released. Things like the X-Men and Fantastic Four also disappeared or were substituted due to Fox ownership of those movie properties, but things like Deadpool and Spider-Man which are still quite lucrative were retained due to the potential sales factor contributed from their large fanbase and blah blah blah there's a lot of back and forth here but ultimately it was something long and well before Disney came into play and something Disney doesn't really care about.
They just want Marvel's money now that Marvel is making big film money.
OP probably had in mind something like western cartoon style vs japanese weeb style, something MvCalready did, but would like to see more of that kind of stuff.
I'd give anything to have the chance to punch the down face of pic related.
MvC3 line up just to hammer the point:
Captain America (Marvel Studio movies!)
Deadpool ( Movie not owned by Marvel Studios but due to popularity too lucrative to pass up, same deal with Spidey)
Doctor Doom (series staple along with Magneto, Storm and Sentinel)
Dormammu (Marvel owned, possibly might appear in Strange movie)
Iron Man (!)
MODOK (Marvel owned, yet to appear in a movie but the existence of AIM has popped up)
Phoenix (This is actually an anomaly along with Super Skrull also who subs out a need for the FF proper. Probably an olive branch to avoid suspicion)
She-Hulk (Marvel owned, no movie yet)
Shuma-Gorath (Marvel owned, possible appearance in upcoming Strange)
Taskmaster (Marvel owned via Avengers, movie relevance questionable but he did have a bit of a spike in popularity by proxy of Deadpool and the artist Udon)
Wolverine (Magneto + Deadpool deal)
X-23 (Similar to Logan, but the waifu factor also helps)
Doctor Strange (upcoming Marvel owned movie)
Ghost Rider (not sure if they had his rights back during the announcement but they have them now)
Iron Fist (Marvel owned, possible relevance through Jessica Jones by proxy of Luke Cage)
Nova (Marvel owned)
Rocket Raccoon (Marvel owned, can't recally if the movie was announcement when he was but we all know how GotG is received now)
But we're not done. Cyclops (X-Men) gone (in fact C.Viper took his optic blast), Cable (X-Men) gone, Blackheart (Ghost Rider, but mind unlike Ghost Rider proper Blackheart was a series staple) gone, Psylocke (X-Men) gone, Colossus (X-Men) gone, Gambit (X-Men) gone, Iceman (X-Men) gone, Juggernaut (X-Men) gone, Marrow (X-Men) gone, Omega Red (X-Men) gone, Rogue (X-Men) gone, Sabretooth (X-Men) gone, Silver Samurai (X-Men) gone, Spiral (X-Men) gone, Thanos (probably as a result of not wanting too much focus on their cinematic big bad, funny enough swapped in for Galactus [Fantastic Four]) gone, Venom (Spider-Man) gone.
