Which one is better?
I saw it as a massive love letter to those games. Not a subversion but a re-visitation. Tom Happ put together a classic metroid style game but updated it with some modern conventions and a couple gimmicks. Like the superfluous amount of weapons and glitch mechanics.
The graphical changes around glitch pocket worlds are cool as hell
>main character is a nerd with dreadlocks
>story is he literally thinks hes too smart for the universe to handle
>90% of the optional weapons are absolutely and utterly worthless
>glitch mechanic is seldom used meaningfully and is about as useful as the fucking spinner from twilight princess outside of the areas that absolutely require it for progression
>giant eldritch war machines don't betray you and act as badass fucking superbosses
shit game, stay the fuck away from it, it's guaranteed ps+ fodder anyway
wow, that looks like it was made by the guy who made small worlds, a small, minimalist flash based browser game from years ago. fucking loved that game, I'm probably gonna buy this.
