OP here, thought I'd add that my post also includes Bloodborne. I know there's a massive amount of faggotry surrounding the argument of BB being a Souls game.

Just play 1 and then 2.
People will fuckin give you the biggest shit about 2 being worse for like lore reasons and how the map is technically impossible but don't actually talk about the game part of the game.
Both are really great but if you play 2 first you might get used to shit like a way better weapon upgrade system and 12 estus.

Before all the Dks1 shitters come here and tell you 2 is an awful game, Dks2 is by no means a bad game, it's actually my favorite in the series. It did some things better than the first game, it does however have some flaws. I can't really compare the 2 games since I have not played 1 in forever.
