Hey /v/irgins, what is in your opinion the best J-RPG? mine is Chrono Triger.
I think you haveexcellent taste
Mass effect
I can't really think of what would be the best to me. I'm usually not into the "greats" of JRPGs like your pic and prefer ones with less story, like EO.

>yfw DS revision fucked the plot over trying to link CT and CC even more than the ps1 versions
>yfw squenix blamed the fans for the shit sales and told everyone that the sequel wouldn't be coming out anytime soon because lack of fan support on their shitty ds port
My favorite is FF7 because the story and characters resonate well with me.

I was going to say FE4, but that image is just too cute.
FFVII it is.
FFIX for me
Persona 4 for the gameplay, Persona 3 for the story.
It had high degree of perfection. but it wasnt a sensational game as DQ3 or FF7 as.
Im surprised no one said Final Fantasy VI yet

I'm torn between CT and FFVII but I'll go with CT.

Strange Journey
I don't agree with the "best" thing, but Seiken Densetsu 3 might be my favorite
Xenoblade Chronicles.

What was so special about DQ3?
For me it's probably either Cyber Doll or Phantasy Star IV.
I used to play so many of them and enjoyed most of them. it's a difficult choice. I guess my top choices are Chrono Trigger, Suikoden 2 and Dragon Quest VII. I really don't have a firm answer though.

Phantasy Star 4
Ive taken a real liking to the persona combat though. Simple, fast, really nice menu designs, animations are quick and cool. Ive only played persona 4 though, not sure how the others are.
What jrpgs have a built-in fast forward?

Earthbound
The PS4 version of FF7
Chrono Trigger and Super Mario RPG are my favorites, but I'll admit I haven't played many others.
