Halo 1 & 2 pre-patch were great, but then Bungie fucked it all up with the Halo 2 patch. Nothing can come close with how badly they fucked that shit up.

when it comes to halo 5 i've noticed:
graphics are ass
explosions and physics are ass when they used to be the cornerstone of halo gameplay
no falcon, just more 1 man armored murder machines (aka 343i not grasping what halo is about at all)
big team battle maps are so ridiculously cramped, everything is close quarters combat and vehicles are unusable and non-existant (they did this when they took over reach so don't tell me its because of the gun engine they have to make maps cramped, 343i is just flat out incompetant at making maps)

other than that halo 5 has a really good multiplayer because they stuck with the basics and focused on weapon content. warzone is great. and battle of noctus is the best halo map i've ever played besides blood gulch and its remakes.

its a close call but halo reach > halo 5 though (halo 4 is the worst halo, and worst 360 game for that matter)

Halo Reach: Campaign, Firefight, Invasion, Multiplayer (with variety), Forge, Theater for both multiplayer AND campaign, a fledged out file browser, full player body customization, Elites, Custom Games (lots of options), Split-Screen and all while able to do so offline (aside from matchmaking) (wont dive into maps)

Halo 5: Campaign, Warzone, Arena (limited gamemodes), Forge (now), Theater (multiplayer only), Limited Player body customization and limited emblems and custom games (limited options) and nearly everything except campaign needs online to function.

a lot of people here don't realize reach was the best xbox game ever made in terms of content, graphical capability for its time, effort, and gameplay, halo 5 has a very good multiplayer but 343i makes such silly mistakes like not including medal counts and other little things like that which damage the overall game

PC fag here. I sold my 360 around the time Gears of War 3 released and built my first PC but I'd kill to have Reach on PC. A lot of people hated it but I really enjoyed it. I sank a lot of time into the multiplayer and actually really enjoyed how challenging the campaign could be on Legendary. Firefight was a lot of fun but I think I had more fun with it in ODST.
