Didn't see a Rebel Galaxy thread so I figured we should have one. What's everyone doing right now?

This game looks shit. Are there any space combat/sim games out there that are actually good and immersive? I'm talking about being able to explore your ship in first person, see the ship like you actually would if you were there. Pilot it in first person from the cockpit and shit.
Like pic related, just found it on Google. Any games like this?
Not really. If you just want cool views while aimlessly wandering around in space, space Engine is the best choice.
Elite: Dangerous would be my second pick and it's worth 15 bucks, but not the regular price.
Also check out Diaspora.
All the Wing Commander games before IV have visible cockpits. The X-Wing games and TIE Fighter have them, too. I think Freespace 2 has some cockpit mods, but I've never really looked into them. I know the Diaspora mod has them.
I said it was an image i just found on google. Just to illustrate what i mean.
Wander aimlessly isn't exactly what i want. I just want to be a space pirate in a giant, immersive space game.
Elite: Dangerous seems really awesome, i mean look at this shit. Thanks for pointing it out.
It's fun for awhile. Like I said, it's worth 15 bucks.
I don't see the hate for the game. If you want a proper space sim obviously go play something like Elite Dangerous. If you want a more casual game then this or Starpoint Gemini 2 are solid games.
