Give me one good reason why you:
>Haven't played the La-mulana remake.
>Don't think it's one of the best games ever made.
Protip: You can't.
Will the sequel be good?
I was playing on hard without a guide, and I was beating all of the bosses without subweapons, but shit got too real for me around the eyeball boss and I haven't gone back to it yet. I forget exactly what he does but hitting him with just the standard weapons is a bitch.
I got stuck on the minecart bossfight and stopped playing.
That was a year or so ago. I haven't really felt like picking it back up. Great soundtrack and a fun game. I kept a guide handy and it didn't diminish my enjoyment of it.
However the guide can't help me get gud against that boss. That's all me and I just stopped bothering after awhile.
Also notice how in this shot the tablet is a different color and it shows Mulbruk's face up top. I guess we're getting multiple playable characters after all.
I'm so sad. When I first played this game, I actually had beaten about 4 bosses before I found the "first" boss and got the holy grail. Fuck. Running back up to the surface every time.
I did, took like 50 hours even with a map guide
fucking obtuse late-game puzzles
and don't even give me that "why didn't you craft your own meticulous map of every zone and write down where all the tablets were and what they said"
that's some fucking horse shit
because there has never been a bigger or better example of the "emperor's new clothes" in the entire existence of the /v/ petri dish
Mulana was fucking shovelware from the first day it was released, however many years ago, and you imbeciles have successfully fallen prey to the 'im so sophisticated that I play this very important and excellent game' when in reality you're slurping diarrhea up through a straw
look at this picture, another piece of shovelware called legacy of the wizard on NES. during the C64 days, there was one called Montezuma's Revenge-THESE ARE NOT GOOD GAMES
If I recall correctly (it's been like two years since I played the first area), the grail is unlocked by a pressure plate after a secret passage. So I'm guessing no, the boss and the grail do not affect each other.
When I had to go to level four to find a clue about getting to the first boss, I realised the game was not for me, yet decided to keep playing it... only to be repelled by the absolutely atrocious air-control, turning jumps into a nightmare.
I hope the sequel will have as good an OST.
And I also hope it won't have any bullshit parts like the entrance to the goddess tower.
>Hit a switch somewhere
It's time to check the whole dungeon AGAIN to check what has changed!
Usually I'm the first one to complain about games being casualized, but this game really needs to be a little more accesible.
>Kill Fish Boss
>Look every fuckin where
>Give up and go look on a guide
>There was an alternative world on the surface (which makes no sense by the game rules) but there was no closed door previous to that
I know you after you kill him you theoretically have to go throught the area, but it's normal to have been throught that before and just warping. Plus from what i read on a guide, it seems you need to kill 3 or 4 boss for the alternative world door to open
>MFW the Mario puzzle to flood the tower
And that's when i said fuck it, i'm reading guides whenever i get stuck for 20min.
The game has some retarded puzzles and what the post quoted said, but it's still a great game.
I didn't get to fund the kickstarter
Where can I buy/pre-order physical copies?
I really wanted physical La-Mulana 1, so I dropped I think the most I've ever dropped for vidya.
I hope and pray it's awesome; though I haven't seen any warning signs yet. Loving the new levels so far.
Why do you care if they reached it or not?
We're getting it, regardless of what the implications are, we're getting what we prior thought we weren't going to get.
That is fucking amazing.
>did you just fumble around for hours on end
Mostly this, but there was a bunch of shit I picked up on that I always see people get stuck on in threads. Like summoning the last of Tiamat's children and getting through the Gate of Illusion.
99% of people who played la mulana used a guide
we're going to find out exactly how many liars we have here once the sequel is out for a week and nobody has made it past boss #2
everyone looked up a guide the clues and puzzles werent exactly user friendly but when i looked up the guide i felt bad because the solutions seemed pretty easy
anyway i had to look up solutions for the temple of illusion since i am a 'fool' by nature
also yea i did faff about for hours on end but those hours seemed to melt away since i was enjoying myself
It was supposed to come out for vita and I've been waiting for that. I don't think I would have much motivation to sit infront of my PC playing it. It would be perfect on the go.
I read the manual, then fumbled around each area writing down every note I saw. After about 8 hours, I had three areas beaten and access to the dark-side. I'm geniunely bad at video games though, as I
left the grail until I had beaten 4 areas and gotten double jump.
I beat it without a guide except for the "life dance" puzzle, which I knew what to do but was doing it in the wrong spot. I didn't 100 percent it by a long shot, so I never got the super whip or finished the super dungeon. I clocked in at about 36 hours total.
>Playing La Mulana 2 with /v/-bros
I hope we will have quality threads, considering the player base is pretty small and mostly older people compared to other games' player bases.
I'm stupid as shit and autistic enough to play for hours on end. I'm sure if nothing else people will probably die laughing seeing screens (or streams I guess) of me going up a brick wall over and over again expecting a different result.
Should be a fun ride.
