Mordor was pretty fun, best title that wasn't on a Nintendo console. Which isn't saying too much given the other major games last year.

But there felt like too few meaningful main mission scenarios, and the Tower and Black Hand "boss fights" were complete downers to end the game with

Also, while I do find the Arkham Asylum combat fun still, I wish they'd add some sort of difficulty to countering, feels too mindless.

Out of the games that actually came out last year that I played, this gave me the most playtime and enjoyment. Not saying that it's spectacular.

I also liked Destiny when playing with friends.

(P.T. is genuinely the best thing I played that came from last year, however it's just a demo so it doesn't really count.)

It was pretty much universally praised. The main criticisms seemed to be that it was too easy and the story was a little generic. Hopefully they'll work on that for the inevitable sequel.

Alien Isolation was pretty good, but Shadow of Mordor is a close second, everything else was garbage.
