On paper, the game is one of the better multiplayer designs. It does not, however, account for the players, which have to consistently work together as a team. Everyone who has played these games has had "that match" where everything worked out on both sides and had a great time. They then delve into a pattern of shitty games looking for that high again, eventually learning to like whatever experience they drive from it.

>>280766517 It's really not that hard if you take a little time to familiarize yourself with it, since depending on the game, it's not always apparent what's going on while you're playing it (lol was terrible about this for me). Again, having a friend there makes it so much better, at least until you're familiar with it.
>>280766517 You underestimate how unskilled the vast majority of the community is for any MOBA. You will get smashed quite a bit when first jumping in, but that's just because MOBAs play very differently and there's a lot of stuff you have to pick up on. Eventually you get the hang of it and at that point you're on equal footing.

Compare to RTS where I can attack at any time, only limited by my resources, an FPS where it's all about finding and engaging my enemy or a fighting game where turtling is almost impossible%and always frowed upon)
MOBAS are the american football/soccer of games, everyone does that shit and makes a big fuss out of it, and it has the worse community out there, but there'll always be infinetly better, but less appreciated, stuff out there.

Turn radius is shit, passives in Dota are shit (in LoL it's almost always a passive + active), RNG is shit ("oh hey the stun lasted a full 4 seconds, I shouldn't have gotten a kill but I did and now I'll snowball"), and there are a lot of fire 'n forget abilities (whereas LoL has been going back and remaking characters so those skills are skillshots). Oh and the community actually plays on their region specific servers so you rarely get BRs, Russians, etc.
But all of that doesn't matter, LoL's eternal grind for new champs is shit, the price of skins is shit, limited runepages and having to grind for runes is shit,
