GUYS DON'T ASK ME HOW BUT I GOT INTO VALVE'S SHAREFILE.
IT'S MOSTLY JUST DOTA 2 SHIT BUT I'M LOOKING AROUND, AND LOOK WHAT I FOUND.

guys abdul ismail is what icefrog's name is rumored to be
Nice try faggotron, this is the default login screen.
Not saying this is legit, but companies outsource this sort of thing all the time. Especially a small company like Valve that has no support staff. Services like dropbox live on corporate clients, not random shmucks.
If 6.84 comes out in september, we'll have had 6.83 for 10 months, which is obviously not going to happen. Also, they release balance patches when they're ready, not on a date they chose 9 months in advance.
i would like to, but i can't: if i access too many files they might identify me, since access to every single file is logged for some days.
one is safe, two might already pinpoint me.
>: if i access too many files they might identify me, since access to every single file is logged for some days.
>one is safe, two might already pinpoint me.
dude, fucking use a proxy already jesus christ, it's not illegal to access a sharefile, since it's not valve's server so it doesn't count as espionage
do it already
do it, and you'll be the most liked person in the internet and my pal
OP here this guy isn't me, and has no idea what he is talking about, I'm looking through this sharefile but there are TBs and TBs of shit and it's not very organized, and even if it was, it's not like there is just a fucking HL3BETA.exe I can link.
I'm fucking looking.
What a load of bunk, there are literally proxy plugins for all browsers that would let you mask your IP, fucking fake, why did you even make this thread if you're gonna have bait this fucking weak.
this sharefile thing has been up for a while
maybe its legit?
Don't worry I am. There is just A LOT of shit to wade through. Like this.
OP here, just got an email (how?) from Gabe saying he had fully backtraced me and the internet police were onto me so I had to pull the plug.
I have a horrible feeling the consequences will never be the same
For all you faggots that don't remember, /v/ created Valve's sharefile account originally, impersonating them. People were kicking around some ebin maymay ideas to do with the impostor account, but someone at both Valve and Sharefile was informed, and the account was locked within a day or two before /v/ could come up with and implement anything noteworthy.
its funny that you believe this. If you've ever worked in a development enviroment you would know long projects have shit planned out months if not years in advance, the dates are usually not solid but are usually close to when they would ideally want to release. Shit just isn't done when its ready
I think Dota 2 runs off a modified version of the Alien Swarm version of Source. Alien Swarm came out July 2010, and Dota 2 was first shown in mid 2011, and they probably hadn't been working on it for more than a year. Alien Swarm was just a short proof of concept that Source could handle top down, right click to move sufficiently.
thats commented html code, its not actually doing anything I'm not sure why its there but its basically just plain text. anything enclosed with <!-- --> in html is commented code
i really doubt they plan patches more than 3 months ahead.
dota2 patch notes are mostly based on how the version's pro players scene played out, clearly delivering balance to strats and heroes popular even just 2 weeks before.
and since it's only balance updates i don't see the point of planning the date.
Here is some more Dota shit, honestly just because this stuff is way easier to sort through, and a little easier to digest as far as obvious information goes.
You can definitely tell this is where the majority of their effort goes.
The only one on that release list i can honestly believe is Pit Lord coming with this year's New Bloom.
It's only a month or so away if that, and if it's just hats nobody will give a shit. Just give me my fatass demon who lets me deny splitpushing and be done with it
Post some files onto mediafire, faggot. No one is going to believe your shit unless we see some actual C++ code or some shit. Any faggot can make a bunch of empty folders named "SOURCE2" and "HALFLIFE3".
Certain balance things maybe, but things like when hero get released are planned in advanced and will always affect balance, which is why they aren't in cap mode usually on release. Although neither of us work for valve so we don't really know how their dev cycle works. I was just inferring based on my own experience where I've seen docs like that also likely those are also projected patch names as well as dates because ideally valve would want to release as few balance patches as possible, but often times at the pro level shit comes up. Although I wish more games wouldn't patch as much when something becomes OP but rather see if the metagame itself evolves to balance the game.
I think he doesn't want to leak any shit that will make the leak obvious because that will make news sites talk about it instantly
he'll probably leak it all soon (he'd have to be retarded not to have it already in three separate servers) and he's just teasing
Here is the link to the new bloom event map, I have 0 idea if it will actually work in dota though
maybe in the alpha tools i'm sure this is made for source 2
you guys also need to realize most of this shit is encrypted
>mfw you roleplay Aragorn
>there is an option to be a woman
>It's only a month or so away if that, and if it's just hats nobody will give a shit. Just give me my fatass demon who lets me backdoor with my entire team
sorry fixed it for you
I'll do something with it.
This is what I've gotten so far.
>having important shit
The best you will find is the new hat design
>gain access to the holy grail of video games
>yeah let's leak dota 2 characters we'll have in a year at most
WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU OP
SORT BY DATE UPDATED
FIND IMPORTANT SHIT THAT ISN'T DOTA
buy a seedbox and start
>gain access to the holy grail of video games
>implying any of this shit is actually real
Stop being such a gullible idiot.
>steal some big shit from valve
>"Hey anon! that was totally cool!"
>"Why don't you come here and take this JOB OFFER *wink wink*"
>"Totally! I'd just stole from you the biggest thing ever happened in videogame history, that should suffice!"
That guy deserved it
I'm assuming it's true because I have weak evidence it is that hasn't been posted in this thread
The basis is: if you're outside of the US, you're untouchable unless you go there
hold on guys im decrypting the code !!!
so about that map posted here earlier
>cannot decompile it, shits out errors
>is not recognized in dota 2 authoring tools, cannot be opened
>normal dota 2 crashes without error when this map is loaded
holy shit it's real
do what I said, OP, sort main folders by date updated and go backwards looking for interesting stuff
they're not going to put HL3 stuff in the HL3 folder because they're not retarded
>Half-Life 2 was merely a rumor until a strong impression at E3 in May 2003, where it won several awards for best in show. Originally slated for release in September 2003, the game was delayed in the wake of the cracking of Valve's internal network. The network was accessed through a null session connection to Tangis which was hosted in Valve's network and a subsequent upload of an ASP shell, resulting in the leak of the game's source code and many other files including maps, models and a playable early version of Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike Source in early September 2003. On October 2, 2003, Valve CEO Gabe Newell publicly explained in the Halflife2.net (now ValveTime.net) forums the events that Valve experienced around the time of the leak, and requested users to track down the perpetrators if possible.
>In June 2004, Valve Software announced in a press release that the FBI had arrested several people suspected of involvement in the source code leak. Valve claimed the game had been leaked by a German black-hat hacker named Axel "Ago" Gembe. After the leak, Gembe had contacted Newell through e-mail (also providing an unreleased document planning the E3 events). Newell kept corresponding with Gembe, and Gembe was led into believing that Valve wanted to employ him as an in-house security auditor. He was to be offered a flight to the USA and was to be arrested on arrival by the FBI. When the German government became aware of the plan, Gembe was arrested in Germany instead, and put on trial for the leak as well as other computer crimes in November 2006, such as the creation of Agobot, a highly successful trojan which harvested users' data.
And why do you think steam has such a bad reputation with customer support? Not to mention all the shitty games that get on the service. They are a pretty small company compared to other devs. They outsource a lot of game design to other developers. CS:GO was developed by Hidden Path before Valve had to take it back to fix it.
shouldn't be, this shit is openly downloadable as long as you have the link which is an issue with the website. don't think any of us will wind up in trouble for it except for the patient zero (i.e. OP) I would think.
>it's just shit for an ASSFSGGOTS nobody cares about
It's still fun, just really, really cluttered with hats.
Besides, I'm more curious about the comic than anything else.
rip in piece sniper ;_;
I think we know who the real fags are here.
>I actually like and play MOBAs
literally the halo of strategy games
>tfw you were discussing InfoSec policies with a VALVe employee fairly recently
Shit, I can't believe I forgot about that stuff. Makes sense why they were so dodgy about that stuff.

Confirmed Fake, this virus has a Payload that if it's run at a certain time/date then it will fuck up your system, So it's a timebomb.
>lel look guys numbers and squares such 1337
>totes a computer sciencer
I've always been interested in reverse engineering and more understanding how that shit works. How did you get into it and what did you do to tell it does that if I may ask?
If not that's cool. I've got a few books on it but any tips would be helpful.
I started reverse engineering video games way back then. I started on SNES because it was much easier then using the N64. You have to input a lot of time
and loveinto a game to find some cool shit.
My favorite will always be ASM x86 because it's the most time I have ever spent on it, 5 years.
***OK /V/ NEW LEAK***
I FOUND THE CSGO FOLDER AND THEY HAVE STORED ALL OF THE HACK DUMPS THEY HAVE COLLECTED
JUST FOUND THEIR LATEST AIMWARE DUMP IN THE UNHASHED FOLDER
I got pic related as a gift when I was 11, shortly after I got my first PC (386) which I started spending all night and day on. The title is "How to write virii" and is basically a short x86 asm introduction and analysis of techniques, with examples and shit.
Being 11 I started tinkering in it and even got a grasp of how assembly worked, but eventually I hit a stone wall and couldn't progress. This was years before internets and I had no one to teach this stuff for me, so eventually it all got forgotten.
One of my biggest regrets in life, if only I had a good resource and/or irl mentor back then... And today I'm just a sad consumer of shit rehashed electronic entertainment instead.
You won't really get there with JUST ida anon.
What game are you trying to reverse engineer? I might be able to help you
Either way it's doing some shady shit
I wish I was a shriller so I can get some free money posting in 4chan all day everyday, it must be a good life, damn im so jealous!~
I would love to read that book.
That's ok, I have 2 shitty part time jobs in a retail, nobody knows I do RE ASM as a hobby
Shit, all I did when I was a kid was change strings with a hex editor.
Professional dev and everything now, decent at my job, but I'm far from the best. Wonder how it would have turned out if I had started as a kid, debugging my NES games using two flat rocks and a twig in my garage or some shit.
>0.02 MB exe
Works for me!
I seriously hope you guys aren't falling for this bullshit
>eating a burger while smoking a cig
who the fuck does this shit?
dude i reverse engineered your dick last night lmao
I'm sorry I'm a /g/ poster, someone linked me here because there was a IDA fag posting here and he was right. >>278698714 This fag downloaded IDA and thinks that reading strings makes him knowledgeable, almost cute
>I would love to read that book.
Dunno if there was an English equivalent, at least the one I got was original and not translated from another language.
Yeah, I did fuck around with hex editors too, editing saves and giving myself items in some old RPGs. I had a notebook of hex addresses and item values written out for one game, because lol no multitasking in dos. And yeah, the lost opportunities do hurt, I'm sure it's part my fault for giving in to consumption and not persevering. No turning back now tho.
Dude looks clean, I'll open in IDA but this one looks like aimware dump to me, here's the injection point where the client injects the DLL into csgo.exe
That's your fault for downloading EXEs from 4chan.
>Guys it looks clean to me!
1) Unplug your ethernet cable so that nothing could be sent to the hacker.
2) Change all your passwords, but don't use the machine that is infected obviously.(I hope you use 2 factor authentication because most likely OP already has your passwords)
3) Reinstall your OS.
is it time to post pictures with big filesizes and everyone thinks it's a screamer
Then perhaps AOL online support team might be able to help you.
Next time consider an apple computer, they are immune to the problems you are experiencing and the support is second to none
>tfw these release dates are actually believable
fuck valve holy shit
>RED RUSSIAN WRITING
rekt. Post pictures, bro.
this cant be real because all of wyverns files are all in the game already and abyssal underlords arent, yet its claiming wyvern will take a year to come out while abyssal will be out in a few weeks.
