I am a developer at Konami currently working on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Ask me anything.
Lots of cool stuff, there are going to be two versions. The standard collector's will include a Big Boss statuette, an XOF and FOX patch, a tiny Mother Base model, and some ingame content.
Yeah. GZ was rushed towards the end and one of the things that didn't get finished was the AI. They aren't psychics anymore; They radio in like MGS2 which can be stopped. Reflex is also gone on Normal and Hard (4 difficulties).
We've already stated that. There's a third area you haven't seen yet; the Himilayas. Each area is huge, give or take 80-100 times the size of Camp Omega. Overall it's massive. The PS3/360 versions are thankfully running better than GZ did. We spent some time getting it optimized for the older hardware. It's not 60fps but it's playable.
Kojima, with mods.
They get up after a few minutes, and ensuring you aren't there anymore, after which they'll let command know what happened, if all goes smoothly for them.
PC is simultaneous, yes. And think about, we've been developing for a long damn time. Kojima doesn't want the release announced so that, when it does come, it'll sneak up on you.
MGO3 is great. There's more emphasis on stealth, but I don't personally consider as good as MGO2.
This is not me.
You guys actually predicted that already! It ends with Big Boss confronting Zero over Eli and the other child (Solid). Zero actually shows some of his old self, and simply tells BB to kill him, thus protecting Snake from BB. The post-credits final boss is Solid Snake.
Lol implying that he is actually who he says he is
Imposters, what is and how do I trip?
Later on in the game Big Boss gets a cybernetic eye designed by Huey, the horn seen in the trailers is the battery compartment.
Yeah, I have a question abut Konami itself. How the fuck are they still around? Capcom is in deep shit and they should be, but at least they make a lot of different games (even if the quality has been lacking)
But konami? They make a MGS and a SH every once in a while and that's it.
>Well, it's the same as GZ. The guns feel fun and realistic.
I didn't play GZ. All I know is that they used fake guns. So, can you elaborate? Like I said, I don't expect ARMA or even Insurgency/Red Orchestra 2 in terms of realism. But I'd like to know where it fits between milsim games and twitchy arcade shooters.
For example, lets say I have an assault rifle. Can I expect to kill someone in 2-5 shots with semi-auto? Or will full auto bursts be the expected way to kill enemy players in MGO?
>Developer @ Konami
>can't even get an higher resolution picture to post
wtf OP, you lying cunt
Of course. Some of the bosses include Skullface in the new Metal Gear, Quiet if you choose to kill her, and very late game...
As for wackiness, there's lots of crazy weapons and outfits, like 3 and PW. I'm pleased to announce the Croc Cap is back.
An amalgamation in Big Boss's mind as he slowly loses it. He'll hallucinate others, and even himself as Skullface, most notably Volgin, who indeed returns. I mentioned above that you fight him in Metal Gear; I'll leave it a secret who it truly is.
>A lot of people here don't.
And your point being? The fact that you can't code a normal and responsive AI, yet are considered an AAA dev is fucking pathetic.
Even slavs could code better AI in between squatting sessions with a tiny budget.
What was good about the AI exactly?
There were a myriad of ways the player could interact with them. Guards interacted with each other in their attempts to find and kill you. They felt alive, not like the automatons they actually are. In MGS4 they even had emotions that you could trigger which changed up their behavior entirely.
Also there's a lot of fun easter egg shit you could do with them, especially in 3.
well story spoilers are in fact spoilers. where as gameplay is less so.
here ill ask a story thing..
is the medic part of the story? since people are hung up on him. Who is ishmael? who is the third guy in the hospital next to kaz and boss?
How long is the story?
why does BB trust Ocelot?
Why the change from Punished Snake to Venom Snake?
Will you play in the story as someone different than BB?
What things Kojima liked so much in GTA V and did he wanted to add them to PP?
How does BB change from good guy to bad guy?
What's the story behind blood face and burned village in the Nuclear trailer of PP?
You play as Big Boss most of the time, but it's an inconsistent narrative. The idea behind Venom and Punished Snake is that these are the shattered pieces of Big Boss's mind. Venom is the crazy terrorist and Punished is the man we saw in Snake Eater. It's never stated outright; but if you're something messed up, people will call you Venom and if it's something good people call you Punished.
I really doubt that you understand what makes an AI good. Half the things you said is just a standard thing for any type of game that's alike.
>In MGS4 they even had emotions that you could trigger which changed up their behavior entirely.
Behavior as in?
>Also there's a lot of fun easter egg shit you could do with them, especially in 3.
Like scripted events?
i extracted all soldiers from GZ mission around 50 of them, will i get them in PP too ?
The Medic is not mentioned. Ishmael is an MSF soldier that wants revenge even more than Miller, for reasons that you'll see ingame.
30 hours, roughly. He trusts Ocelot because he saved BB at the hospital (Which was in Berlin, fun fact!) As for the name, see above. His official "Bad guy moment" is towards the end, after
Millerdecimates the Diamond Dogs and goes into hiding in Afghanistan. Big Boss activates Metal Gear to try and kill him, and murders countless civilians in the process, and the village was where he was hiding.
I apologize for not being in touch with your arbitrary standards that you dress in terms like objective. The AI was good. It worked well, scaled well across difficulty levels, and provided a challenge that always felt sensible. Unlike in MGS5 where when one guard spots you, the entire base is alerted. In previous installments, they'd have to radio each other. Things like that made sense. It's why the ai was good.
Why do you think? We need money.
When Phantom Pain comes out, it'll be released as DLC for Phantom Pain, at 20$.
We're working on some MGS stuff for Vita. Stay tuned on that.
>Behavior as in?
You can get various darts for your tranq gun which affects their emotions. You can enrage them and make them go on a killing spree. You can make them depressed and unwilling to fight. Don't remember the other ones.
>The people you extracted. Glaz and Palitz are high-quality early game soldier if you extract them, and you'll start with Kojima on Intel if you did his mission.
So, I plan on 100%ing Ground Zeroes.
If I save Glaz and Palitz during one mission but later re-do the mission for S rank by killing the, do I still get them?
Does only the "best" playthrough per mission matter per save data?
Please let it be true. I want so damn much to fight Miller and shove those sunglasses up his traitorous ass.
Don't you have Konami paychecks at home? Something that proves you work there?
>I apologize for not being in touch with your arbitrary standards that you dress in terms like objective.
Go learn a thing or two about coding then, maybe you'll understand.
>In previous installments, they'd have to radio each other.
Then a minute later they'd forget that you even existed. Great AI, great gameplay, great stealth.
That's somewhat interesting, but from a gameplay concept, not impressive AI concept. That is, if AI is enraged, the AI goes berserk and attacks teammates. If AI is depressed it just ignores this and that and sits on its ass.
It's, well, uh. Troy Baker. I didn't expect him to pull it off, but damn, it's one hell of a good Hayter impression. We're hoping to get Hayter back for MG1 and 2 remakes, which will be DLC for MGS5.
Kojima said BB was only in a coma once and that it would somehow be explained in TPP.
Does this mean that you're playing as a clone of BB or something retarded like that? What does it mean?
We've been bouncing around the idea of putting 3 and 4 on PC. Who knows if it'll actually happen, though. Don't get your hopes up, sorry.
No, the money thing was bullshit. He had some personal issues that needed sorting out, but was originally intended to do Solid Snake at the very end.
so, he himself says he'd gladly have voiced big boss - but here, you, a random retard claims to work for konami says its because HE had some issues. Ok buddy.
Also, pretty funny how you literally know everything about the game, the devleopment, the script, the characters, the plot.
Are you literally Kojima?
Or do you expect people to believe that some random employee has this much overwatch of an AAA project?
oh wait - you are right. People actually believe you. Have fun.
I've met Kojima, yes, and you realize he does speak English, right? He's a cool guy, he understands what it's like at our level, and hangs out downstairs with us a lot.
Miller?. I'll detail his fight if you like.
It's arbitrary, whether I'm a programmer or not isn't relevant because the entire point of AI programming in a game is to make the experience for the player convincing/challenging/fun/etc. What's under the hood, which may or may not be technically impressive to other experts in the field isn't nearly as important as what the player experiences.
I'm going to assume you're a coder. If you were designing AI for a stealth game, Which would you prioritize? Impressing other members of your study with intricate, consummate coding, or impressing the people who will be playing your game with a solid gameplay experience?
>Then a minute later they'd forget that you even existed.
That's to make the game more accessible. The goal of earlier MGS titles was not to achieve realism, but to provide an arcade like stealth gameplay experience. Considering that the amount of time guards spend in search mode is variable, I have no reason to believe that whoever programed the AI in MGS games couldn't have made the search state permeate if they wanted to.
We're aiming for the 24th.
Brutal. 10-11 hour days. Never get into game development, but the atmospere at Konami is really nice, I guess.
Sorry. They're completely remade on the FOX engine, not top down. They do include the originals though.
He still prefers Big Boss, it's the others that are simply accustomed to calling him Snake. He doesn't make up the codenames.
Why did they put a phallic shaped bomb in Paz's vagina?
We talk about it a lot.
There's one I really like called Zev. He's one of "Those Who Do Not Exist". His fight is similar to the Fury's, dashing between corridors to avoid gunfire, and sneaking up while he's laughing.
>the entire point of AI programming in a game is to make the experience for the player convincing/challenging/fun/etc.
Well then how do you exactly excuse the AI in MGS?
>Which would you prioritize?
Why do you think I have to prioritize one or the other. Both work hand in hand. The only problem is that if you make it overcomplicated, you're bound to have some bugs. Not that you can fully avoid them anyways, but the point is that you should expand on your own work, but not to make things overcomplicated.
>That's to make the game more accessible.
There's a word for that. It's called casual.
>Considering that the amount of time guards spend in search mode is variable
Depending on the difficulty mode, yes.
>I have no reason to believe that whoever programed the AI in MGS games couldn't have made the search state permeate if they wanted to.
Of course they could, if they hadn't added the timer to begin with, they would just be looking for you forever when they get triggered. It's just that it's a shitty mechanic for casuals, so I don't see why people even defend it.
We've been throwing back and forth an idea for Metal Gear Liquid; doing missions with MGS1-era Foxhound, basebuilding Shadow Moses. We aren't doing anything with the Boss, I'm afraid. It's also possible we'll get a Philanthropy game set between 1 and 2. We haven't started developing anything yet, so who knows.
I appreciate The Boss' legacy has really taken a life of it's own and playing as her pre MGS3 might be a bit off considering.
Still, strong female character, WW2 - would be good.
Yes, it's different from what you've seen in trailers. You only get infinite fultons on Easy, and even then they cost 300 GMP a piece. Otherwise it's like PW where you can take a certain amount and maybe find more in the field. Enemies will assuredly notice them, and snipers are capable of shooting them down.
As for "TECHNOLOGY", you'll just have to see. You won't be disappointed.
You said earlier that there's a bit of a moral system in the game, eg Punished / Venom Snake depending what choices you make.
Is that a big push in the game or just a bit of a nice to have?
Also, any improvements to things like control schemes in TPP? Will these be retroactive to GZ?
Anti-cheat countermeasures, after the horseshit that was MGO version 2 with people able to do some wicked horse shit with aimbotting and major exploits, even if you can't confirm an anti-cheat, I want to at least know if there is going to be any ongoing work to help patch exploits and it isn't going to just ship and be as-is until the next expansion/DLC for it is announced.
Does that team really depend on Kojima? Stories from years ago talked about how he wanted to move on but the team felt unsure, does he sign everything off or do you guys have more free reign?
The controls are identical to GZ, but you can change them of course, even to a more Snake Eater style scheme. It's not a moral system either, it's more like an easter egg. If Big Boss is doing something bad in cutscenes or otherwise, people call him Venom, and vice versa.
It's recovered during a mid-game mission where you get to dive down the the first Mother Base's wreckage. It's eventually rebuilt, but ZEKE is nothing compared to HAL.
>Well then how do you exactly excuse the AI in MGS?
In every MGS game (perhaps excluding 5), the guards do provide fun and challenging gameplay. It isn't very realistic, but it's not supposed to be.
>Why do you think I have to prioritize one or the other.
Just taking into account that you attack a player for not understanding the coding of AI.Why do I need to understand how it's working to enjoy it? I don't. Just as one doesn't need to be a mechanic to appreciate the smoothness and handling of a certain vehicle.
>Depending on the difficulty mode, yes.
No, on any difficulty mode it's variable. The 99 timer isn't moving in seconds. Depending on how you alerted the guards, it may move faster or slower.
>Of course they could, if they hadn't added the timer to begin with, they would just be looking for you forever when they get triggered.
I would have preferred that, but I understand why they added the timer. It was simply implemented to make the game easier. I don't see how that makes it bad though. On higher difficulties, getting spotted is still very punishing despite this, considering the search time, the guards improved awareness, and Snakes low health.
He does the writing, and controls things creatively. He just wants a break. He's been doing MGS almost non-stop since '98, and needs to take time away from it.
Heaven's Divide remains the best MGS song.
He's one of the original Wise Men and
Big Boss's father
Para-Medic joins Mother Base (she still talks movies with you), and Big Boss talks to Sigint a bit too. And yes, the game ends in 1994 (retconned from 1995) with you fighting Snake.
>the guards do provide fun and challenging gameplay
I'm going to have to disagree. I have never really felt challenged in a MGS game from the guards.
It was fun. But it wasn't challenging and the guards certainly didn't make it interesting.
How hard will it be to mod MGSV on the pc?
Are there simple hooks for guard AI or are we going to have to hunt down a spaghetti string structure of side effect filled function calls and global variable changes?
Thanks so much for doing this, I like to believe it's legit in my heart of hearts.
What's the plan for supporting MG:O? Will it use Konami online or the online systems of the respective platform? (I found Konami online to be horribly painful)
Is BB really in a coma for 9 years?
I find it extremely gay how a little vagina bomb put the greatest soldier of all time in a coma for almost a decade.
I don't really see the point, I wish it had just been a few years at most, but it seems like Kojima is deliberately trying to make BB look like a dunce.
Yep, appears in flashback missions of BB's missions with her.
What's to explain? What do you want to know specifically?
I'm sorry, what?
The mod tools are coming with the game. It's pretty easy to work with.
>the guards do provide fun and challenging gameplay.
Except they don't. The only thing that makes the game fun is the score system at the end, to measure your e-peen. Otherwise everyone would constantly run around the idiotic AI and just hide for a few seconds.
>Why do I need to understand how it's working to enjoy it? I don't.
Now go back and re-read >>277335793
>Impressing other members of your study with intricate, consummate coding
First off, you never mentioned the player. Secondly, which is more of a personal thing, but usually only stupid individuals aren't curious as to how things function or work.
>Just as one doesn't need to be a mechanic to appreciate the smoothness and handling of a certain vehicle.
Have you ever owned a vehicle? Because if you did and you never asked yourself even how the basics work, then you're a fool who overpays every time he goes to fix his car.
>Depending on how you alerted the guards, it may move faster or slower.
Oh, ok, my bad then.
>I don't see how that makes it bad though.
For me personally, it felt bad when I played MGS1. Casual and uninteresting.
>On higher difficulties
And even then it's pretty easy and the only thing that the player is actually worried about is the score system, like I described above in this post.
How does Gray Fox appear in this game? How about Solid Snake? What are their respective in-game stories?
It seems like making Gray Fox a playable model in GZ was foreshadowing a bit.
I was hoping this game would run all the way up to the events of Shadow Moses and include the narratives of MG1 and MG2.
KonamiBro, I'm a game dev and I'd like to work with Fox Engine. Are there any plans to license it out?
Seems like a huge waste of potential to have it used on Konami's shitty soccer games and maybe Silent Hill/Castlevania
>Metal Gear Liquid
YES OH MY GOD YES
that's honestly what i thought MGSV originally was with the first phantom pain trailer and my boner was immovable
PLEASE, MY DICK
Assuming that his father was in his 30s when he had him, that would indicate that he's in his 80s, Code Talker looks like he's at LEAST 100 years old. I would have assumed that CT was the boss's father and has a piece of the Legacy or somethin.
Yeah, he guns them down as they helped the Soviets murder a contingent of DD troops.
The actual online systems. We learned our lesson with Konami Online.
Skullface wasn't real, Huey betrayed everyone, Big Boss is a dick and more!
And? It doesn't affect gameplay at all.
He appears, don't worry. It's explained why he sticks with BB in MG2. BB saves him and Naomi from the Soviets, and simply points out that Fox owes him two lives, and one he'll come to collect. That day was MG2.
Oh, it wasn't the bomb. It was artificially induced by Cipher. And by the way, Solid Snake is the best soldier of all time. Even Kojima knows it.
>Except they don't.
>First off, you never mentioned the player.
Reread my older post that you quoted.
>Because if you did and you never asked yourself even how the basics work, then you're a fool who overpays every time he goes to fix his car.
This is irrelevant. I only posed that scenario as an example to help you understand why how it works is not important to most people. Here's perhaps a more consumable example. I do not understand the inner mechanics and spring placement of my bed. Yet I understand that it's comfortable to lay down on. I do not care how it works, only if it works.
>And even then it's pretty easy
This isn't a very solid argument. It hinges upon the skill level of the player as a way to asses how good it is. We're getting into this area where we throw around subjective terms at each other, anon.
>i find it easy and boring!
>i find it challenging and rewarding!
>it's easy you casul scrub
>nah fuck you
It's not really getting us anywhere.
This goes for anyone who knows as I'm curious
How big is MSF/DD supposed to be anyway? Is there an estimate of their strength?
Also were there survivors of the attack at the end of GZ? I kinda assume they didn't build DD from scratch with new recruits.
The "RACE" is a deliberate dupe. It's not race as in skin color; it's the race to acquire the Sons of Big Boss.
Read the thread, boyo.
It's gonna be licensed out. I agree, soccer is a waste of the engine.
You can access your codec and save features instantly on the iDroid.
Well then don't assume he was in his 30s.
Probably never guys, sorry. I haven't heard fuck all about Bomberman in a long time.
It's just Big Boss's revenge against Cipher for cloning him and MSF, initially. Things get MGS2 level mind-fucky towards the end.
DD is several hundred strong, and Miller claims they'd be more than capable of taking on a small country. There were survivors, and they'll come to you or be recruited. Alligator comes back!
I explained as to why it feels challenging. The AI itself isn't challenging in the least.
>Reread my older post that you quoted.
>Impressing other members of your study with intricate, consummate coding, or impressing the people who will be playing your game with a solid gameplay experience?
It seems that I'm not following you.
>I only posed that scenario as an example to help you understand why how it works is not important to most people.
Even then, understanding how the AI works can actually help you beat it, that is, if the AI is actually challenging.
>I do not care how it works, only if it works.
This is another problem. That is more of an ethical question and why everything is stagnating. I'll just say again, if the AI is challenging, you'll try and understand how it works, of course not in all detail, but still will try and understand how it functions in order to beat it.
>We're getting into this area where we throw around subjective terms at each other, anon.
I agree, but at the same time I gave a logical explanation as to why some other people might find it challenging, which is the score system. Try and replay MGS and tell me what will concern you more when you're spotted by the AI. The fact that you must fight them or evade them, or the fact that you get a lower score by the end of the mission/game?
The late 50s.
No Cyborg Ninja in this. Gray Fox is.
Mostly big guys, but nothing against indie devs that want to use it, if they can get their hands on it.
Quiet is Chico. Him and Amanda were related to the End. You'll notice Quiet and the End have similar abilities.
150 million / 45 (even though it will probably sell for sixty lets say they only make 45 after shit like sales tax and distributors taking a cut) = 3.3333 million copies. I'm sure they will sell that much.
Isn't that a fairly standard price for a AAA game anyways?
>believing this is real
Why is /v/ so fucking retarded?
I'm not sure, that's Platinum after all. I certainly hope it isn't.
I'm not sure if you've noticed, but Kojima is a fucking liar.
See above. We're doing MG1 and 2.
Yeah. Besides all your standard camos, there's the GZ sneaking suit and PW battle dress, and even some of the MGS3 boss camos. You've already seen the MGS1 sneaking suit appear.
Confirmed doing MG1/2 ? You said earlier...maybe.
How does Kojima / Kojima productions feel about MG:R ? Obviously not what was originally envisioned but it seems generally well received.
>Kojima doesn't much care for MGR, he hates what Platinum did to Raiden.
It's not like he wasn't already ruined in 4.
Didn't he have to sign off for MG:R ? Seems odd that if he didn't like it, he let it come out...
If that's the real sentiment though I can't imagine another coming out.
How 'open world' is the game exactly? Is it GZ style where you go out for a mission, come back between each one? Is there any continuity? Eg if you go in shooting each time, there are more and more troops/guards?
The menu is like MGS4 and changes each chapter. It opens with the original trailer stuff, escaping the hospital.
The Vita is getting something. MGS1 and 2 might come to 3DS in the near future.
So there were 2 comas after all? The 9 year coma in TPP and the after death coma mentioned in MGS 4..?
If Skullface isn't even real, how did Motherbase get attacked? Who attacked it, if that wasn't Skullface?
And what about the heli crash at the end of GZ? Was it a ruse?
That Philanthropy era game I mentioned? That might be on Vita.
Probably another collection for PS4.
Isn't it obvious? It was the U.S., and by extension Cipher.
It was real.
Metal Gear SOLID 1 and 2.
And yet OP seemingly doesn't know that and uses 1 analog stick as a reason for no twin snakes. If the 3DS can run MGS2 then it can run Twin Snakes, it makes no sense to port the original MGS. Twin Snakes has special Nintendo stuff in it too
I should've been clearer.
It's not Twin Snakes because the GC controller had more buttons than 3DS, and because Twin Snakes was simply not well received. I see where you're coming from with 2, though. The touchpad is used for the HF sword.
So, no you're using buttons as a reason when MGS2 and 3 have just as many commands if not more than Twin Snakes
>Not well received
That didn't stop them from using bits from it in future games, did it?
and all of his "spoilers" are the exact same theories everyone on this board has already been posting a million times (chico is quiet, bigboss/skullface fight club theory, you fight solid snake at the end, etc)
So either the entire plot of this game was perfectly guessed by /v/ months ago and Kojima has zero tricks up his sleeve, or this guy is full of shit
You mentioned Hayter and "personal stuff" - that doesn't sync up with what he's saying.
Not to be nasty, but is that a conversation above your level and there's some animosity with Kojima / Hayter?
Honestly seems really odd to bring in someone completely new, who arguably doesn't do a better job. (opinion blah blah)
the guy who translates all of kojima's japan interviews posted this tidbit. doesn't jive with your story
What's up with the lack of TECHNOLOGY and attention to detail in GZ? Will Phantom Pain have the little things that made the older games cool or will it be just a prettier Peace Walker?
from when junker was translating a Q&A kojima was did
>I don't know what else there is to reveal.
So that is it then? the 2 theories that the entire internet already guessed when the first trailer came out are the only things that happen in the game? there isn't one single thing about the game you can tell us that hasn't already been said before this thread?
I want to be fooled. I loved all those Rockstar dev theads confirming San Fierro and Las Venturas. I just want to dream.
>A soldier just suddenly gives up and lets himself get shot without even trying to fight back
OP, why do guards sometimes kick open doors to buildings you can't enter in Ground Zeroes when you're spotted? Like, the building near that little bridge you can climb on. A guard kicked open that door and it was just a black void
Have physics been improved? GZ had really bad clipping of bodies into walls and the like when previous there wasn't.
I guess what other technical improvements are there in TPP?
>there is nothing left to reveal
really? so it is never said what the weapon to surpass metal gear is? what about the phrase "v has come to" and who the woman saying it is? what about skullface hunting zero? that stinger in GZ was just meaningless and is never brought up again?
just admit your making shit up
>"Those Who Do Not Exist" are mostly corpses of MSF troops
What does Psycho Mantis have to do with that? Last time I checked he doesn't bring up the dead? Also is that really Volgin?
>I can't date Ocelot
Were you supposed to be able to enter those buildings? I think reload animations being broken and VERY HIGH screen filtering's making the DOF so bad the iron sights are blurred needs to be on your priority list more so than a door.
>mfw months ago there was another konami employee who claimed this exact same scene of BB murdering an entire village
Can't tell if you're the same guy, coincedence, or that shit actually happens.
If XOF doesn't exist and is just someting in Big Boss' mind like you say OP, then why does Miller comment on the XOF patches in GZ?
Also who planted the bomb in Paz if skullface doesn't actually exist.
Yeah, the bodies are fixed.
Oh, did I not mention that? The weapon to surpass Metal Gear is kinda anti-climactic. It's Liquid and Solid. "V has come to" was confirmed a long time ago, it means Venom Snake. The woman is a doctor's assistant in the hospital, Skullface isn't real, as I've said. What Stinger in GZ?
>What Stinger in GZ?
Are you fucking serious? The conversation with Skullface and Paz when Skullface is interrogating her trying to find out where Zero is and Paz asks Skullface to save Big Boss
It's a hallucination of Volgin. Mantis was just a piece of dumb editing, he wasn't really supposed to have that title card.
Originally. Check out early gameplay for GZ; we wanted Camp Omega to be a lot bigger.
Not the same guy.
XOF is Cipher. Again, it's only Skullface.
Physical copy. The Steam collector's edition is all digital stuff.
How big is the Africa map? and what other maps are there?
So, what? Consoles get the physical collector edition and PC just gets a physical release and a digital CE?
Also, why do you know so much about the story and shit? Even Quest Designers on The WItcher 3 barely know the story
>all this fucking bullshit
>mfw want to believe anyway because Solid Snake playermodel sounds hype
SKullface as Tyler Durden sounds dumb as hell and if Solid Snake actually turned out to be Troy Baker I can't even imagine the shitfit /v/ would turn into
Pretty much. It's a part of Big Boss's mind being broken and trying to look for evil in everything.
The same size as Afghanistan. There's also the Himilayas.
Sorry, should've been clearer. PC gets the full collector's edition as a physical release.
So the knife attack didn't do any damage and he didn't even notice you at the beginning, even though you're standing right in front of him? Nigger, you're making me rage even more with this stupid shit.
i heard if you shoot a soldier, he will say something like "stay with me" to another soldier that will stay with him until he dies then the second soldier says "no..." which seems like a good amount of detail to me
this, why isn't this in GZ's? when he hears your gun click he should be in full attack mode.
>knife attack didn't do any damage
It didn't even hit, m8
>he didn't even notice you at the beginning
I was holding him up at gunpoint, didn't you notice his hands in the air?
He reacted to the click of the gun, it had no bullets left.
>posts no credentials
>makes numerable contradictions on things already known about MGSV
>answers literally everything
>speaks perfect english when the US kojipro isn't working on the main game but rather the MGO
>says the release date is in March and will be announced in January, making it only a 2 month window from announce to release, shorter than even Ground Zeroes
You people are fucking idiots for replying to this troll
MGS AI never held up under scrutiny, but at the same time shows the depth of its gameplay in that the AI doesn't break when confronted with a lot of retarded shit.
It's simple, it's difficult enough to spot a careless player while giving a good player a nice little playground to fuck around in.

> The weapon to surpass Metal Gear is kinda anti-climactic. It's Liquid and Solid.
how does that make any sense? big boss already knows solid and liquid exist. they are the reason he and zero had a falling out in the first place. how would it makes sense that the big twist of what ciphers plan is, to be somehting that big boss has already known about for 10 years?
finally a good thread to read. Thanks OP hope you're holding up alright while finishing the game.
>It didn't even hit, m8
You're standing almost straight in his face and he slashes across you. Looked pretty close to hitting the hand.
>I was holding him up at gunpoint, didn't you notice his hands in the air?
That's why goes "Who's that?" a few seconds later?
compared to GTA 5 how big is the afghan map?
Checked torrents, every PC game has about 5x as many downloads. Checked for nextgen releases, ain't shit captain.
Why does mustard race continually deny that piracy is a much larger problem on PC?
This is great trolling. The fact that it's made it this far shows that people just want to be deceived.
i mean, op could provide something like an official email he's received from people at konami, verification through some online access to konami, anything really.
You people are so stupid.
nobody actually believes it you donut, it's just like a nope thread. It's fun to suspend your disbelief and play along with shit like this.
>OP suddenly stops posting once everyone is questioning his story
>again with this mateba bullshit
>thinking OP is gone for good
His mom probably told him to take out the trash. He'll be back.
he could also get fired if they find out he's leaking info, not that i 100% believe hes a kojima employee of course
we have one of these threads once a week for someone who SWEARS he works on MGSV, usually posting some shitty photoshop lanyard
No one believes any of them they're just fun. We're all bored of having shit all to speculate anymore and are hungry to play the damn game.
It's something m8, MGS fans have never gotten used to straight answers from god, outside of ruse, so when the opportunity presents itself for any kind of answer, no matter how unlikely, we just go for it instead of flat out denying.
besides, speculation has always been part of MGS, we still know very little even with the prologue and several trailers
It was also in the Afghanistan trailer.
And every other part
