I already know the levels have to be reworked because if you play Dante in Nero's levels they are unfinishable due to the buster mechanics. They could probably bullshit with teleports anyway.

I think they'll just bring back DMC3 vergil and touch up the graphics, as he was pretty fun to play in the first place. The only thing I can think of is to give him a new style so he can play with summoned swords more effectively or just make up a brand moveset and run with it.

My guess is more than likely he'll be heavily inspired by credo who already was based on Nelo

I've never played any of the DMC games at all. I have played Bayonetta 1 and 2 and I love them both for the crazy action, and I hear DMC is much better but that doesn't start until 3 and 4. It's not really a good version, the fix requires you to gut some of the music and fiddle about with some stuff. Even then it still lacks the ability to play at a modern resolution properly.
I just vastly prefer playing games on my PC to a console so I don't mind playing an inferior version of this game.
There's also a style switching mod which makes the game play like a mix of 3 and 4, but I haven't tried that out yet.

I kinda liked DmC, it's definitely not a bad game on PC. 60FPS responsiveness, great action, even if it is glitchy, and even better choice of characters.

I just hate the design and the music. It's grunge apocalypto and it's pretty boring considering every game post 2011 has been using this style for their "insanity" image.

Yanmato gave birth to a new breed of semi-sentient soldiers. Either way, the fact that they have jetpacks is cool, I don't think that's the bad part; I'd rather they just have a shield only and use that to fight instead of alternating between lance and shield or sword and shield.

Probably something like from Zelda with Darknuts where they only have the sword and no shield, or just the shield and no sword. A pole-arm would have been nice, especially nice. Double edged polearm instead of a shield would be great, even a single edged one could widen their moveset exponentially.

In terms of new content, the Special Edition added Vergil as a playable character, including his own unique style which included most of the moves he had available in all of his boss encounters, a unique devil trigger for Vergil's secret skin, a new boss, new game modes, rebalanced some difficulties, a cutscene viewer, Bloody Palace aaaaaaaaaaaaand that's about it, I think.


REALISTICALLY, what do you think they'll add to this special edition? Considering 4 has next to no unlockables like alternate skins, this is something they could do with little problem. 4 already has most of the stuff the original SE included anyway.
