I've only got a craptop and the thing overheats like a motherfucker. I can't play Wargame or Warthunder for more than a half hour without letting it cool off.

I obviously am trying to be tight with funds, for various reasons, but I'd like a desktop to tide me over until I can get a better job and get a 1k rig.

What can I get with a $300 build? Would an i3 be a good idea for that price range or is that too high, or too low of a starting point?

that's what I've been doing although in the most optimal setup I currently mapped out there's still a 2x2 ft block of wasted space in one corner that I have absolutely no idea what to do with since there's only a 9 in space to get in and out of it. it may be enough to throw out the plan completely.

And there's a problem of habit, I use a desk with a keyboard tray right now and I use the desk to hold a lot of stuff on it and have meals, and the new desk won't have a keyboard tray which will mean better vidya for me but I'll be losing all that desk space. I don't know, anon.
