Shit, is this real? How fucked is Xbox?
>mfw they get apprehended and made examples of
Yes, but many many years ago.
At least the lizard faggots didn't got caught over googling "online proxy" and using one of the first results (an easy to contact and corporate one at that) for their secret operashuns
*CLICK* *CLICK* *CLICK*
XBOX LIVE IS GOING DOWN
#gethacked, #hacker, #promlghacking , #hacking, #hacker4life
What you gonna do /v/?
>mfw I've seen this video millions of times and never noticed the waifu that made it's way onto fox news
>turn on the television to check out the news
>breaking news: seattle nuked, millions dead
guys please pay attention to us we're gonna take down microsoft!
okay no maybe just xbox live
can you still notice us?
>tfw your son is obsessed with linux
We are lizards
We do not forget
We do not forgive
We are legion because we are many
>Didn't lulzec got caught because one of the "leaders" was really a CIA agent?
No, they were arrested over being dumbasses with as much "hacking" aptness as anyone in here able to use google
HideMyAss was seriously one of the first results in google for "proxy"
I miss going on 420's /i/ during Habbo/Hal Turner raids
>Remember that one Alex Wurory fagggot who spoiled raids
The amount of wannabe master cracker in the internet are too many to count.
Most high profile companies have a cyber security department or some third-party agency involved
The ones that manage to actually be master crackers are hired by the government or security companies
>i'll create a gui interface using visual basic see if i can track the ip address
>Hacking the prime house of hackers
Sounds like a great plan.
I don't get this. Do they think that people posting on 4chan that have the tripcode anonymous are actually all part of one group? Pr do they mean the actual guy Fawkes anonymous group,
Then who were the ones who got fucked by a guy who was doing minor things like taking down "high security websites" to get people to join him and then turns out he was an agent?
Something like to catch a predator but with wannabe hackers
>tfw netsec/white hat
>Almost all of my income comes from consulting work
>Spend 90% of my time fuzzing and looking at memory addresses
This is what most hacking is. It's boring as fuck until that moment when you find an exploit and feel like a god for a minute. Just chasing that high.
>steam goes down for a few seconds like it usually does because valve is a piece of shit
>"HAHAHA WE HACKED STEAM YOU'RE NEXT TO GO OFFLINE WE'LL HACK EVERYONE"
the fuck is wrong with this kid?
Unless they literally burn the server cluster down and then bomb the microsoft HQ and destroy any kind of chain of command of MS, that's totally bullshit.
But then again, I guess it's kind of the point
we are reptile patrol
we remember stuff
we hold grudges
there are loads of us
>retarded third world script kiddies being edgy faggots
>posing any real threat to anyone
These fucktards are Russian, they aren't smart enough to pull that off and it won't be long before the KGB kills them.
>They DDoS M$'s servers
>M$ restarts the servers
>They wait until it's back up to do it again
>This goes on for a week
>They say say something retarded to sound badass
>They will keep doing this because they are autistic
>know fuck all about hacking or anything like that
>set up my own VPN at home when I was in high school and would connect to it remotely so I could bypass the internet filters
I'm moving in with a friend in January and we're going to split the cost of a gigabit Internet connection. With that kind of upload rate I'll be able to stream vidya via limelight to anywhere in the world with a good internet connection. VPN's are the shit.
>I belive they're domestic terrorists.
>The next thing I know I got a bunch of naked guys on my profile.
>truly epic lulz
>ATTENTION SHOPPERS: VOLEDMORT KILLS *bleep*
Ah, the good ol' days...
>a bunch of DDOS nerds calling themselves a clan want to "permanently shut down the worst console's networking
AND NOTHING OF FUCKING VALUE WAS LOST.
Where my Sonybros at?
The kind of hacker you probably imagine that sits down at a PC, clicks some buttons and compromises other systems existed long ago when computer security wasnt really a thing. There are still real hackers today, but it usually involves a year of testing (or a day of social engineering).
Hey, Best Korea is going to hack and shut down Sony if they release The Interview, don't you know?
Lots of cities are actually ripping them out. In a little while we may not ahve them anymore, though I can't say I agree with that motion entirely. If your phone dies or breaks or something and you desperately need to make a call, a pay phone is pretty convenient. I suppose you could also just find a 24/7 business/restaraunt or something and ask to use theirs, though.
Not gonna say more, but getting a server shut down doesn't ultimately accomplish jack shit and doesn't benefit someone with actual knowledge in any way, shape, or form.
A real hacker leaves the servers up because the information that can be gleaned is extremely useful. DDoSing something is equivalent to TPing it. It's an inconvenience that closes business for a day.
>being too shy to ask the 1,000 people passing you by to use their cell phone
>being in such a rural area that no one is passing by you with a cell phone, and yet expecting them to have a payphone in that specific spot
>trying to make your school project look so complex by using a black background
>people acting like visual basic is completely useless as if they do any programming
There are loads of Somalians who hang around in the city centre here. I'm not sure if they even try it anymore but they used to stop people and tell them that the battery in their phone is dead and would ask them if they could put their simcard in someones phone because they need to make a phonecall.
The nerve of these niggers. They've tried it with me a few times in the past and I just laughed at them.
"Hackers" nowadays are security testers - every company wants secure software so people can't crack them with known techniques like guessing passwords, unauthorized logins, SQL injections, XSS, etc. so they hire "security professionals" to test their systems using common tools and methods of attack.
The media likes to hype these up with stories of kids in their basement stealing everything from the pentagon, but now that computer security is a thing only human incompetence causes "hacks" or more accurately leaks
>4chan discussing "hackers"
What happened to the midst of hackers on steroids?
the worst they can do is fuck up the servers
worst case scenario microsoft will have to replace the servers
apparently "forever" is about 1 month or less
wow i'm so afraid!
>shut down Xbox Live forever
What the fuck does this even mean?
No, North Koreans would threaten to release highly sensitive information about your company.
Like the names of the CEO and VP of said company. That totally wouldn't be available through 5 seconds on google.
If they actually end up not only taking down their servers, but they actually stay down, I am going to be laughing. It will just go to show you how reliable Microsoft's security would be. How can people be willing to trust xbox live with their credit card numbers?
>Putin is slowly crippling western tech companies
>first shutting down online services
>eventually remotely bricking equipment
>finally stealing trade secrets to use at MikЯosoft, Russia's homegron tech company and front for the KGB
I think it means that they plan to shut it down, but in a way that corrupts it to where it can't be turned back on. If I had to guess, it would be something like one of those computer viruses that are so bad that its easier to erase the hard drive and try again then trying to cure it. Soooo, their plan is to have Microsoft erase xbox live? I find that hard to believe.
>taking down the servers of one of the most powerful companies in the world
>taking down the servers of the company who invented servers
>implying that Bill Gates' elite technomancers wouldn't be able to thwart them
The easy form of "hacking" is more than ddosing. Setting up a fake wifi and letting people connect, being able to literally access their computer and all data is also considered "hacking". I've seen people do that for half a day. They find the person by desktop image, search for "passwords" and keywords like that and if they find a pincode or whatever they mug the wallet and cash all their deposits.
It's one of the easiest modern things to do.
We've had the internet for so long yet people still don't get the slightest idea of how an anonymous imageboard works. Do they think ALL of 4chan is "ANONYMOUS HACKING GROOP"?
>master crackers hired by the government
Nope. Do you think that after Snowden and Manning the government is going to risk having a loose cannon with access to ridiculous amounts of secrets?
>But truly epic lulz comes from raids and invasions
That was an old video.
check the other one>>275088920
More new, related to the fappening.
tl;dw: No, people still think all of 4chan is the internet hate machine and that the main objective of this whole website is to distribute stolen nudes, child porn and to gather to hack people.
Also they still don't know how the internet works
Well, by today's definition they are "real hackers". If you want to go with the purest of definitions, a hacker is someone really skilled in an IT field and follows a code of conduct, basically meaning they "hack" for the purpose of furthering their craft. "Hackers" was illegitimately used by the government to push an agenda. You are no better than that Fox report when you get all high and mighty, yet still end up misusing the word yourself.
>it is a promise... We are going to suck dicks at this, even North Korea is doing a better job then us.
Ahhh, bored skiddies, must be that time of the year when they feel so insignificant they need something pathetic like this for "teh lulz."
It probably really helps them appear competent with Best Korea starting shit with Sony.
Aside from those it barely mentions who is 4chan, who that guy is
>Bringing down "pay for online play" services
>Microsoft is a US company
>Sony is a JAPANESE company
>Anon seriously thinks a Japanese company is more likely to use Chinese workers than a US company that focuses all its efforts on profit
Old MS =/= current M$
the dramatic music makes this video.
>He was branded as a "lulz killer"
>they said they would rape me, they would kill me
>Tfw turning on BBC and everything is quiet and really comfy
I don't know why it's so hard over here to make a show without going balls to the walls with DYNAMIC CAMERA ANGLES and CLIFFHANGER COMMERCIAL BREAKS
>If your son has requested a processor from a company known as AMD this is a call for alarm
>at girlfriends house a few years ago
>her stupid flatmate comes in
>"have you heard of anonymous? I'm going to join them"
That's motherfucking George Wood to you, sir.
that was when 4chan was good
i remember nigger was a normal word here and not one person raised an eyebrow when it came to talking about spousal abuse
it wasn't edgy it was just fun
>you will never be able to do shenanigans like the habbo raid ever again with out being branded as le ebin leejun
what happen to us? we used to get all sorts of kicks and shit from this kind of stuff and now it's frowned upon.
The future as predicted in any time is a mirror being held up to that society. In the past, things were optimistic. Now things are pessimistic. I blame liberals and left wingers.
>mfw microsoft hires a mercenary team outfitted with cutting edge metro enabled gadgets and kills everyone involved
That shit leeked into popular media and the counterculture doesn't want to have any part of that anymore. If you have an inside joke that someone outside of the circle repeats, you want to abandon the joke.
social manipulation is the big way that hacking happens nowadays, or they take it by you giving access to something that you think is secure but isn't, like wifi
Social manipulation example:
>We are discussing penises, do you want to join?
Well? I believe she asked you a question, anon.
How do I convince my script kiddie friend that anonymous isn't real?
>Typing Anonymous into the name field
>DESTROY DIE ATTACK
>Truly epic LULZ
>Nationwide campaign to spoil Harry Potter
>Bought a dog
>FBI won't act until it's too late
I love this, it never stops being entertaining.
They do exist. It's just real hackers are busy doing shit for their own benefit and don't want any attention called onto them. These guys are just attention whores trying to be the next Lulzsec or Anonymous.
Not really as fun anymore.
The userbase has dropped off so hard. Lucky if it gets 3 thousand people on at primetime.
All of the cool public rooms are gone, like all the restaurants and the other stuff. The pool area is smaller.
And to top it off, you can't block doorways or paths, everyone walks through each other. Its actually depressing how shitty it is now.
Supposedly my father does the kind of work a "real hacker" would. I don't know for sure, since he's not allowed to talk about it. Some kind of intelligence work.
Thing is, my father is kind of a shithead when it comes to secrets. I wouldn't have believed him if it weren't for the fact that he has "Top Secret Security Clearance" and that actual government agents have shown up at my house for "business" purposes.
>I am a l33t HACK0RZ
>I will toast teh web
Real hackers don't let people know they are going to get hacked.
DDoS kids make me laugh.
Anyone else here who came during the great newfag wave of 2006? I heard about this secret hacker website called 4chan and I lurked here for about a year or two, then I started posting. Only on /b/ at first, then I migrated to other boards.
On one hand, if XBL is killed forever, it'll run Microsoft out of the console business.
On the other hand, the cancer it causes is worth the containment is has for the 12 year olds, dudebros, and Amrericans.
Fun fact, one of the people on this video is a gamergate supporter by the name of Alex Wuori or something like that. Funny how they support him after shit like this happens.
There is a whole ed article on it.
>tired of going to court every time some 10 year old says nigger and threatens to blow up a stadium
I don't think you understand the depth of retarded actions, anon.
>4chan will never be feared this much again
At least we'll always have gems like that.
>He still thinks xbox live is full of dudebros and children.
>He doesn't know Sony is full of them now.
Enjoy your 2 front cancer
>shutting down Xbox Live forever
They'll probably take credit for the slight service disruption that Christmas usually brings.
Lizard Squad are just a bunch of DDoS faggots.
And yet PS4 is selling millions upon millions of dudebro trash like Assassin's Creed, Destiny, Call of Duty, and Fifa.
Dudebros, casuals, and 12 year olds are on every platform.
>None of them are going to buy a Japanese console.
This sonybrony is so mad delusional.
Anon, it's for the best.
The more popular 4chan became, the worse it became. You don't, you literally don't want anyone to know about 4chan. You don't want more redditor and tumblarines to come here believing it's a nice place. You want people to believe that 4chan it a hatemachine, you want those people to go to /b/ and either stay there ore leave with only the few realizing what this place is and pass the filter.
The Internet is the great equalizer, and we now live in an age when that nerdy-looking young man cowering in the corner at social gatherings can then go home and become in the endlessness of cyberspace an evil monster preying on and terrorising the vulnerable; his revenge, as he sees it, on a society that has kicked him in the face once too often. Welcome to the world of 4Chan-inspired ‘RIP trolling,’ a subculture that has been much discussed in recent years in news and television media across the English-speaking world, but one which has not truly been explained. This book would like to remedy that, charting as it does a vigilante journey through the cyber abyss that also takes in the horrific paedophilia problem on Facebook, damning the social network for its failure to put an end to it and to the stalking and tormenting of bereaved people on its network.
As well as taking an unforgiving and sometimes very humorous gaze at just what kinds of morons, psychos, and clowns go online to try and transform themselves into dark lords of the Internet, the book also takes a look at how the grotesque subculture of mass, organised RIP trolling began, what life is like in the little online mental wards created by its practitioners, and how all of it - along with the rampant child pornography swapping and grooming of children which takes place on Facebook and other similar sites - could very easily be brought to an end through the cooperation of the social networks.
>somebody actually wrote a book about this shit
We are ANONIEMOOSE
WE DO NOT 4 GET
WE DO NOT 5 GIVE
Have you ever considered that maybe he wants you to think he's full of shit to protect himself and his job?
I remember the last habbo raid I saw on /b/
>/b/ still pulling old and tired le black man closing pool maymay
>dress as CIA/NSA looking character
>name is NOTnsaSPY
>simply stand in corner
>board throwing a fit
>swearing I'm ruining the raids by telling the rooms they were raiding
>didn't have to tell them shit
>habbo is use to having rooms spammed with pool closing niggers
>try to tell them their raid failed because they suck at raiding
>they are still convinced that I am ruining their fun
>troll /b/ to the max
>by just standing in a corner
Jesus fucking christ you kids are purely fucking retardedly autismal
>no one gives a shit
>Man. 4chan was so fucking hardcore 7 years ago.
Yeah bro, it was HARDCORE.
These is unironic posts, this is how the place was, let no nostalgia addled faggot convince you otherwise.
>Scientific progress and technology is being slowed down by the idiocy and laxing attitude of today's generation
>we'll never reach the pinnacle of the ideal technological utopia because everyone is dumb as hell
Although /v/ was more civil and on topic in 2004
Yeah, internet vampires who make viruses and shit turn your computer into a bitcoin mining ghoul if you are dumb enough to get a virus.
They are amazing IT guys by day and hax0rx computers at night.
Just like Neo in the matrix.
Believe me, I've thought about it, and probably even think that this is the case.
By all means, he's not a particularly clever man. But maybe he wants me to think he's not clever.
I ain't complaining. He makes a pretty good amount of money, and we've been able to live comfortably thus far.
>when namefags and tripfags didn't derail threads
>implying it isn't the faggots who hate on name/tripfags who do the derailing
Seriously, what is up with the hate of name/tripfagging?
I blame you faggots for looking for something beyond the name. These people clearly have no lives and spend all day on 4chan and nowhere else. Why don't you just let them have their names?
>tfw the only namefag on /v/ is dead(sauce)pan
>tfw there was one tripfag that ruined /b/
>that stupid cunt that hurr durred cannibalism
Ok, nevermind. Now I see why trips are frowned upon.
>being too shy to ask the 1,000 people passing you by to use their cell phone
It's not so much that you're too shy to ask, it's that people aren't likely to let you use their expensive and extremely important cell phones when it's easy as fuck to jack it once it's in your hands.
It's like if a complete stranger came up to you and asked if they could borrow your Vita or whatever, you're not gonna let that shit out of your hands are you?
>DS, like every other Nintendo handheld, has no region coding.
>In plain English, that means you can import Japanese version of Nintendogs and play it on your <whatever region> DS
Damn, this guy. I wonder how he feels now.
>queen obsession threads
>trap threads that show obvious penis in first post not going to >>>/lgbt/
>same 50 pics everyday in the same ylyl thread that gets posted 50 times a day
>r8 muh uncle
>will my daughter grow up to be pretty?
>r8 me threads not going to >>>/soc/
>simple math being blown the fuck out of proportion
>obsession over the latest edgelord that killed people
The same cancer it has always been. I'm sorry I went back to see.
Shit, that's where Valve and NoA are too.
Fucking Washington being cheap as fuck with their electricity and internet rates. At least people get fucked over whenever they want to buy something digital.
It's always been a lie.
Myspace had a very shitty security protocol back in 2007, dude.
If anything someone just made a keylogger virus and waited until they got feedback to post it on /b/ and have some lulz. It's never been some Hollywoodesque thing.
Does anyone actually know which waifu that is? I can't seem to stop laughing now that I've noticed foxwaifu-chan.
but most of the children on /b/ aren't even script kiddies
what do you call a person that downloads a program and clicks a button and calls themselves a hacker? they don't even deserve the title of script kiddies.
