Can we have a PSP thread where we reccomend and talk about PSP games? Especially JP games, if you have any experience with those. Pic related, a cool Evangelion battle game that plays like Smash Bros.
TL;DR what's your favourite PSP game?
Pic related is Busou Shinki which I was recommended here before.
>a cool Evangelion battle game that plays like Smash Bros.
Wait, what? Name please.
If you want JP games, give Grand Knights History a shot. A vaniallaware game that got an english patch.
It isn't really apparently here, but the stages are intractable and there are lots of item pick ups like swords that remind me of Smash Bros.
Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time.
Looking for import-friendly titles. Is the Evangelion game in your OP import-friendly? I'd assume so, seeing as it's a fighter.
>Seems like all the big IPs dropped Sony for the phone or Console market.
That's basically what happened. Vita has lots of good games, but they're not brand names and come from smaller studios. Big companies have decided they're too big to bother with a few hundred K in sale now, million plus only, even if it means lost profits.
Kidou Senshi GUNDAM vs. GUNDAM NEXT PLUS
Kisou Ryouhei Gunhound EX
LORD of APOCALYPSE
DANBALL Senki BOOST
Yeah, there are text/story segments, but you can pretty much ignore them. The menus may be difficult to navigate, and there are a HUGE amount of characters to unlock (every angel is playable, for instance) and I'm not sure how to unlock them.
Definitely worth pirating and checking out. (I recommend PPSSPP, lags on a real PSP).
I'm really liking Gurumin. Why did nobody ever tell me the PSP had an awesome library? I can't exhaust all the good games still and I've been messing with the emulator for over a year.
Can you recommend some more quirky and wacky games with a cool artstyle like Gurumin, preferably for the PSP?
I just want to play as EVA Mk.06 is that so hard to ask??
I know Japanese; It's VERY easy to make puns it's ridiculous. There are very few sounds in the language so there you go. There's quite a few words with 10+ meanings. Good luck NOT making puns.
Who played this shit? Is it good? I only know little japanese
Don't know if I should download it for PSP or buying it on 3DS for like 15 bucks
6-8 months to read shounen manga;
2 years to be comfortable reading PSP games.
Was it worth it? Yeah. I spent an hour a day studying, and then just learned from stuff I did in my spare time (video games, anime).
To put it this way: In two years, I could have spent all my time playing video games. Instead, I learned Japanese along with video games, and now I know Japanese. From my perspective now, it's definitely worth it, since otherwise I would have just played video games.
It's one of the reasons why I love SYD, Why does school gate sound similar to penis
Did you mean anus? 校門 こうもん
Nah. I did something from a common vocabulary list, if you read Shounen most of it is the 3000 most common words or something, so I avoided the 10分地獄
Sweet, a PSP game thread.
I recently started playing Fate Extra when it was on some anime game sale on the EU Vita store. Haven't gotten far but I'm fucking loving it. I just hope there's a hard mode once you beat normal.
>Persona 3 hasn't taught this anon to set milestones so everything doesn't go down the drain
What a shame.
You know nothing about discouragement though till you fight Lancer with Caster
Oh you may do fine. You might take him down to about 10,000 Health but then he'll activate Shoal of Extremities and all the time spent getting him down from god knows how much health will be ruined with just one wrong move. One. Wrong. Move.
No. I cannot write a single kanji. This has not impacted my reading or listening comprehension in any way. You do gotta learn to recognize them.
Playing as caster is hard modo
I just got the Castlevania X game after putting it off for many years. Shouldn't have waited, it's fantastic. I put in like 15 hours probably to 100% both version and haven't even started on SotN's new Maria mode yet.
I kinda did too. The backgrounds had a lot more atmosphere to them and felt more in line with how gothic CV should be. The original's great too but the anime style puts me off. I like the redesigns, and Dracs new form plus the hydra and succubus are great new bosses.
it's not. it's shit. it's a "music" game without much music. it's also just music from the rebuild films, which sucks, when i want to play an evangelion rhythm game, i want fucking cruel angels thesis in it.
taiko master portable dx with dlc is a much better evangelion rhythm game that 3nd impact is.
Patapon 1 and 2 (3rd one is garbage).
Really unique rythm games, the only game in that genre that comes close to this quality would be the upcoming Crypt of the NecroDancer.
Even then, it's not the same kind of game.
Patapon was good then, and still is to this day.
Onore no Shinzuru Michi wo Yuke
If you like the rhythm games, you need to play Taiko no Tatsujin Portable DX, son.
Here's the DLC:
and here's a video to get you in the mood
I'm with you, even though the concept of japanese culture needing its own board on 4chan is outrageous. How did we get to this point?
I remember lurking /v/ 7 years ago and getting bored when the front page was nothing but games like these. I didn't know better.
Play the fan translation of FF Type-0, it`s easily the biggest game ever put on the PSP
I checked some stats and the number of people who know Japanese in my entire state is .08%. That's 8,000 people out of more than a million. In short, there are too many people. The board moves too fast for niche topics to be discussed, and there are hardly any people even capable of discussing them due to the language barrier.
sorry you didnt enjoy babe
not gonna pick up the hd remake?
You can still play certain games in japanese without knowing the language. In fact that's why i got interested in learning nihongo in the first place.
I fucking love this game. Does the multiplayer work? I want to try and get two of my friends to wreck shit since I can't rely on the ai.
It was a little overhyped and not what I was expecting but after putting some time into it it is now my favorite psp game.
I should've known from previous experience that FF can't just do a war story. Still enjoyed it.
Favorite PSP game is definitely Metal Slug Anthology
