Why not? Souls games gained prominence partly because of their innovative online system and partly due to excellent art design up until Anor Londo. Bloodborne seems to be right back on track, Tower of Latria to the n-th degree.

This is how its going to play out,

Since it looks exactly like any other Souls game combat-wise it all comes down to how the art direction and level design is executed. Victorian Prague seems like a good route to take. Transformative weapons are just a cosmetic twist and I doubt that no shield will drastically change anything. The only way they can fuck up the standard gameplay is if they make parrying too easy as it seemed from some of the beta videos.

Yeah, but it ain't exciting at all. There's hardly any atmosphere change between it and Dark Souls that I wonder why they just didn't call it Blood Souls. It's still dark and danky shit with the same battle system with intricacies removed to be more streamlined. It's a more straightforward Dark Souls in all but name. If they gave a different atmosphere instead of being afraid to change too much I might of been more excited about it. But everything about it is the same old dull Dark Souls that worn out it's welcome at DS2.

There's no much difference between Victorian and Dark Souls, honestly. If they didn't say it was Victorian, I would of just assumed it's the same period as Dark Souls. They could of been more fantastical or something. I dunno, but it's just dull as it is.

Yeah, it was WAY too easy to chain those gun parries in the alpha videos. Quicksilver Bullets were so abundant that players couldn't carry all of them. Not to mention the enemies are dumb as fuck.

This is what worries me. It's still a Souls game, but its combat system is simplified and streamlined to appeal more to casuals who didn't like the slow, defensive gameplay of the previous Souls games. Which is fine, but FROM should really up the difficulty to compensate, which the alphas seem to show to NOT be the case, because it was easy as fuck.
