I enjoyed it. Favorite parts were the ancient cistern, the pirate ship and all of the guardian missions or whatever they were called.

I didn't find the motion control combat frustrating, though apparently I am pretty good at using the wiimote for stuff (it never goes crazy and is extremely unresponsive for me like i hear stories about, maybe i'm just lucky?) but what i did not like were fi, the handholding and the menus popping up EVERY TIME YOU GET AN ANYTHING.

As a side note, a title doesn't have to extremely challenging or frustrating to enjoy (though if that's your opinion i'm sorry for you). I disagree with what you've said, and I don't feel I'm exaggerating anything, because the evidence is right there. The condescension angles not going to work, but good attempt.
Fun isn't an argument for it being good. God forbid someone on the internet doesn't like something you do.

As a side note, the game doesn't really offer much in either terms of replayability, or challenge. And yes, while a game doesn't have to be frustratingly hard, it doesn't mean playing a cake walk is exactly thrilling either. What's the point of all those levels you traverse through if you can basically play it with your eyes closed. In my opinion there does need to be at least some challenge. Even the levels that are suppose to clearly be 'tougher' are a breeze to get through.

I also don't find the 'new' items to be too thrilling, the catsuit thing gets old quit fast, as cute as it may be. And honestly, turning pipes transparent is just insulting if that's supposed to be them trying something "new".

This is how I feel with MK8. People say Wii had the worst item usage, but I never got hit with items that badly in the game. Earlier today in MK8, I got hit into a thwomp by a mushroomy racer, flattened, red shelled, and red shelled again. In another race, I got hit by three red shells in a row from totally different racers, and in virtually EVERY online race I go into where I'm in the lower half of the ladder, I get triple mushrooms while people ahead of me get triple red shells, stars, or bullet bills. I can say without any exaggeration that triple mushrooms are THE item I see the most in this whole game, which isn't good since they're even more worthless than ever.

I'm pretty solid at the game, but it's pretty much impossible to get back in the lead after getting shit on by a few items because RNGesus hates your guts.
