That's exactly why Reddit is terrible. They allow the majority of faggots to censor discussion on their own, if you have an opinion deviating from the norm than you get downvoted to shit. No honest discussion takes place.

Not at all, go find a thread pertaining to a specific game, say Dark Souls, it's fair to say the majority of people in that thread like Dark Souls, if you make a post highlighting why Dark Souls is good, you will get upvotes, your post will appear at the top of the thread for others to agree with, if you disagree however and would like to talk about criticisms of the game you will get downvoted, and those downvotes will show up on your account, when people see the downvotes they will be discouraged from agreeing with you, people can even filter your account so opinions they don't agree with never get seen by them.
