Even David Hayter admits that Snake should have killed himself in 4.
>inb4 Reddit lolololololol
Fuck off it is an AMA, it is the same thing as an interview essentially
ITS OFFICIAL. MGS2 FAGS BLOWN THE FUCK OUT.
MGS 3 IS THE BEST MGS GAME, DEAL WITH IT.
>people still listening to a fucking dub actor who was dropped by Kojima
David Hayter isn't the fucking writer/creator of the series. Stop acting like everything he says is canon. It's like claiming William Shatner speaks for all of Star Trek.
That's the reality of anonymity, we have shitposters, but Reddit has a hugbox. I would rather be able to have honest discussion with some shitters than the neutered discussion on Reddit.
>But 4chan is better for actually discussing.
No, 4chan is just for 'faster' discussion. But 99% of threads on here are just dick waggling or trolls purposefully trying to derail threads for attention.
Reddit isn't perfect by any means. But the use of set names means you are still responsible for your posts. And if you start spouting stupid stuff, your posts do get downvoted and hidden eventually.
Basically, 4chan will never get past the trolling and idiocy until it has dedicated tripcodes. But since the vast majority of people here just want to out troll each other, Moot will never do it.
ask him if snake's coming back to smash bros.
>But the use of set names means you are still responsible for your posts. And if you start spouting stupid stuff, your posts do get downvoted and hidden eventually.
That's exactly why Reddit is terrible. They allow the majority of faggots to censor discussion on their own, if you have an opinion deviating from the norm than you get downvoted to shit. No honest discussion takes place.
No, he doesn't get rid of it because most of us want anonymity instead of
>omg Gamurgirl posted, best to upboat her le post ;s
Basically you're a faggot is what I'm trying to say.
Not at all, go find a thread pertaining to a specific game, say Dark Souls, it's fair to say the majority of people in that thread like Dark Souls, if you make a post highlighting why Dark Souls is good, you will get upvotes, your post will appear at the top of the thread for others to agree with, if you disagree however and would like to talk about criticisms of the game you will get downvoted, and those downvotes will show up on your account, when people see the downvotes they will be discouraged from agreeing with you, people can even filter your account so opinions they don't agree with never get seen by them.
This is why an echo chamber is a fucking terrible place to talk about video game. At the very least on /v/ there is no pressure to censor your opinions because the worst case scenario is somebody calls you a faggot.
>that's why Reddit is terrible! The community keeps downvoting my troll posts!
Not the same guy, but unpopular opinions get downvoted to hell even when they contribute to the discussion. The only opinions upvoted are the ones where the commentator purposely stroked the dicks of the viewers or the popular opinion. I remember there was a video where the dad accidentally dropped a kid, and the top comment was that the kid was probably a victim of child abuse because of the way he was crying. Shit is ridiculous
I may have been lucky but it seems like smaller subreddits have decents threads.
I've been on r/dragonscrown the first few weeks/months for example and it was miles better than anything you got here. I don't remember much from here that wasn't shitposting about how this game is only good for anti sjw purposes and ironic sjw shitposting.
The same thing happens on 4chan. The only difference is a voting system on reddit.
This is what 4chan never understands. You guys all act like you're individuals behind a wall of anonymity. But you also claim to be the 'superior community' because of the 'culture' on 4chan.
4chan obsesses over trends even worse than Reddit in many ways. In fact, there's daily posts on reddit about the crazy antics and forced memes on 4chan.
You're cherry picking, everyone's doing AMAs. Robert Downey Jr for example is at the height of his career and did one.
All the threads for Dragon's Crown on 4chan just devolved into 'lol Feminism!'.
The threads on reddit actually talked about the gameplay and only had occasional joke posts about the feminism debate. Mostly referencing 4chan posts.
That's the major difference between the two. Reddit gets tired of memes fast and actually tried to talk about the game itself. 4chan holds onto the meme as if it IS the primary topic. And actively tries to avoid talking about the actual game with tons of trolls starting arguments.
>The only difference is a voting system on reddit.
That's the biggest thing though, if you want to visibly disagree with someone on Reddit you only have to click downboat. On 4chan you actually have to tell them why they're wrong.
For the trolling of course.
Real answer: I don't prefer reddit. Its just a place I go when, after hours on 4chan, I can't find a single decent thread that isn't a big argument or trolling.
"they gotta shitpost somewhere"
>if you want to visibly disagree with someone on Reddit you only have to click downboat.
The downvote isn't meant to be used that way, even though nearly everyone does. Obviously its the major flaw on reddit. Which is why I don't even use the system (up or downvotes).
>On 4chan you actually have to tell them why they're wrong.
In which case they'll just respond with 'Fuk u mad!' and then you have 20 posts of arguing without even addressing the first point.
Yeah, smaller subreddits are pretty much safe. As long as people have a similar liking for something and keep a certain interest, it is fine. They are almost like all the threads on /vg/. When a general population sees something niche or even a category and cannot understand it or dislike it, than it turns into a shitstorm.
Then why are you here then? Go back there.
One person posts the 'meme' and a bunch of people reply to it.
Everyone else who wants the attention has to make a completely unique point. And people who repeat another persons point usually get downvoted.
Arguments leads to clarification (if the two are hopefully trying to find an agreement not just shit throwing). If someone does not agree than it really up to one person to convince or both to compromise. That is how a discussion works.
FUCK YOU YOU STUPID FUCKING FAGGOT I'M GOING TO RIP OFF YOUR HEAD
Yeah it's so much better. Now I'll falseflag a response to this post as if it were you to further our intelligent discussion.
And to think that this all could have been avoided if OP wasn't so defensive about where the source came from.
Any place with site elitism isn't better than anything.
I'll go back to reddit right away, no problem. :^)
Id rather find some humor sometimes than have to deal with the same cringe worthy posts every thread.
Pretty much sums it up. Every big post has the same fucking shitty cringe jokes that get a million upvotes each time.
>Arguments leads to clarification
Not when the people having the argument are more focused on 'winning' and trying to one up the other person. Clarification requires one party finally drops their defenses and admits when they're wrong. 4chan is the absolute last place this happens.
Despite being an anonymous board, we have the people who try to protect their ego the most here.
>(if the two are hopefully trying to find an agreement not just shit throwing)
And on the topic of ego, yeah I agree on that point. I have no clue why noone wants to compromise on something and just defend their pride. It is basically virtual pride as who the fuck is going to know that you lost an argument on another thread or that you said something stupid a day ago.
>reddit is the cool place I only come here to shipost
Please God. Put every faggot and their families in this thread into a gas chamber.
And people said Reddit wasn't here, despite it being obvious that this place is full of them faggots.
>Wow sounds like they are really tired of memes. What the fuck are you trying to say?
Because aside from the one quote chain of people obsessing over the meme, you also have dozens of other people making other points.
Unlike on 4chan, where the meme controls the entire flow of the thread. And someone actually talking about the game outside of the joke meme is ignored.
You fags keep flinging shit at each other while the twitch master race keeps supreme reign.
>Perfectly readable, but small image
Learned this epic maym from Reddit fellow redditor ? upboat for you. Please take a knife and put it into your hear, you mongoloid queer little faggot.
Sounds like a Kojima game to me. Its not like the endings of MGS1-3 are that amazing either. Let alone the side games.
MGS is literally a Shounen game meets a Modern Day Bond movie. And Otakon points tihs out over and over....
>Because aside from the one quote chain of people obsessing over the meme, you also have dozens of other people making other points.
Oh you're right all the people that post on 4chan are fully obsessed with posting memes and every single post is a meme
You are the reason 4chan is so god damn awful these days.
MGS1 was at least coherent. Where did it all go so wrong?
>super villains as boss fights
>plot twist: you're brothers
>plot twist: you're clones
>epic final boss
>just kidding awesome melee fight
>holy fuck your heart is still racing amazing car chase scene
>reasonable ending involving retirement
every other MGS:
>nanomachines don't gotta explain shit
>la le li lo lu don't gotta explain shit
>ancient society that runs the world don't gotta explain shit
