Something seems a lot easier about this game. After two hours, I already beat Mom and Mom's heart. That took me at least ten hours to achieve in the original Isaac. Yeah, I am a lot more skilled at Issac than I was when I first played the original, but even with recent original Issac runs, even after 100 hours I still have a challenge.

Seems like I'm just getting ridiculously good powerups every time, walking into rooms and enemies are just exploding left and right.

Just how hard is hard mode? Is hard mode more like normal from the original or somehing?

There is a branching path that can lead you to hell or a different place. Both of these places have another level AFTER them, with different final bosses. So, how have old characters changed? My old best friend Cain lost his "only good or neutral pills" ability, which makes him a lot less fun. Samson seems to be completely different, before be got better damage in each room by killing enemies, but it only lasted that room. Now it seems he gains damage each time he gets hurt, and keeps the buff the whole floor. What else is new?

For now just try killing the bosses with the different characters. The character select screen shows icons that let you know which characters you've beaten the bosses (like the heart) before. Eventually bosses like the Heart get replaced by tougher ones too, the game goes through a lot of changes.

I got platinum god in vanilla and some 250 hours, and I'm getting wrecked while playing in hard. Maybe it's just because I haven't unlocked as many game breaking items, but it feels like the invincibility frames after getting hit are much shorter and there are way more enemies that deal a full heart damage in the earlier levels.

Only 50 hours in Flash. Rebirth is a lot easier but also a lot more fair. There are less unavoidable damage rooms and damage upgrades seem a lot more common, so those shitty base damage runs don't happen.

Also having a respectable framerate and analogue movement makes dodging easier. In Flash I'd get hit by Greed half the time even though his shot is really simple, it was just too fast to avoid when you're jerking around at 15fps using WASD for movement. If I get hit by it in Rebirth, I know I fucked up.
