Sub, and I say that as someone who's watched the dub more times than the sub. The dub is flawed in various ways. The voice cast isn't consistent between the TV series, director's cut, EoE, or rebuild outside Misato, Asuka, and Shjinji. And when it comes to the TV series they had a hard time knowing how to handle scenes since they didn't have the full script, they dubbed it episode by episode. The first few episodes are very rough and specific scenes an have errors in tone or translation.

The dub is done. Well was done. 3.33 was released in theaters in europe/merrica/and else where as well. The dvd release was delayed because of the theater release but was set to come out like last year until funimation got told to redo it. Anno has always had a tight grip on Eva's english dub's. In case you don't understand what I am saying, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, was a Ghibli movie made about 10 years before Evangelion. Hideaki Anno, the director of Evangelion, was an animation director for Nausicaa and designed the God Warriors, which ended up being his basis for the designs of the Evangelion units.
