>It's okay when Nintendo does it! xD
Can you guys stop with this stupid meme?
/v/ shits on Nintendo the most.
3% PC mustards
2% trolls and xbots
1% Nintendo fans.
Fucking sick of it.
>because they know how to do it right.
>/v/ shits on Nintendo the most
Bullshit. /v/ has the biggest Nintendo bias of any website, board, or forum. Even the mods are Nintendrones who seem only interested in deleting shit-posting aimed at Nintendo.
>Nintendo removes 3DS charger because of EU laws. Makes people buy the charger for $14 and doesn't lower the price of the 3DS.
>Sony remodels the Vita charger because of EU laws. Updates the firmware to allow USB charging, and takes a fine for every Vita so that it comes with a charger.
Censoring and region locking are okay when Nintendoes it.
A program that can't be run in any other piece of hardware other than the manufactered by that company. That's DRM in every sense of the word. The game is digital, it doesn't matter that it's on a disc.
>you're not playing (or shouldn't be playing) video games to look at butts
Why not? What are eroge and nukige or fanservice in general?
>region lock, while not amazing, makes sense to do
Yes it does, if you are greedy and want to rip off as most as possible.
Not really. They just did an entire gen in 480p, 30fps and god damn mandatory motion controls on everything and they aren't the laughing stock of the industry. If anyone else had tried to pull that shit like MS or Sony, /v/ would have had been all over their shit, but because it was Nintendo not only did they get away with it they were congratulated on it.
>Someone calls a nintendo game out for being subpar
>Someone doesn't like a policy nintendo pulls
>Someone attempts to discuss a playstation game
>FUCKING ASSSHITCUNTDUMP STOP SHITTING UP OUR BOARD!
>LEL 3DS SO MUCH BETTER!
While some backlash is good keeps the place from being neofag or whatever shitty forum you all spout as sony fanboy forums this place is far from a sony board.
Stop acting the victim nintenbros.
Ultimately, whichever you're a fan of is the one you're going to see more shitposting about. Nintendo fans will say /v/ hates Nintendo because they keep seeing shitposters in Nintendo threads, Sony fans will say /v/ hates Sony because they keep seeing shitposters in Sony threads.
Nintendo probably has more positive threads then Sony, though. Maybe /v/'s biased or maybe it's just because Nintendo has more exclusives at the moment.
/v/ has always been biased in favor of Nintendo due to having a bigger ranbase here. But even the mods are Nintendrones, which leads to deleting any negativity aimed at Nintendo, while allowing anti-Sony/Microsoft threads.
They've blatantly said they look down on day one dlc, but not dlc as a whole. People on /v/ have the mindset of "dlc = cut content, when it isn't fucking true. Was Mario Kart 8 incomplete before the dlc? Was Awakening? Was Mario Golf?
How am I cancer for caring about gameplay and not lewd in my video games? If I wanted to see Tharja's rear end, I'd just go to Paheal.
Region lock isn't done by Nintendo just to spite you. It makes sense for them to do it.
Except I was. When Sony region locked the PS2, I, and 99% of people didn't care.
>But even the mods are Nintendrones
It definitely looks that way. The userbase of /v/ can do whatever it wants but the mods should be more impartial about this shit. Of course, they are 4chan mods, it's hard to expect that much of them.
>Make thread for Non Nintendo game
>You get called a shill/Marketeer
>Make thread for nintendo exclusive
>/v/ goes wild and sends Nintendo many cards
What if, follow me here.... People have varied likes and opinions? Or, god forbid, the majority of us are idorts.
Well, it may not seem like a meme to you, but "It's okay when X does it" is certainly memetic around here at least.
When the fake ps4 sell numbers came out with no sauce, the threads would make it to the post limit, only after the real numbers with sauce came out every thread was spammed with /biz/ and deleted within 200 posts.
>What are eroge and nukige
Visual novels, not video games.
Fanservice in general should not be the main draw of a video game--that's the gameplay. If you're playing video games just to ogle naughty bits, you may need to get your priorities in order.
>Yes it does, if you are greedy and want to rip off as most as possible.
You're only showing your own ignorance. More money is not the only reason why Nintendo region locks.
>"It's okay when X does it" is certainly memetic around here at least.
Yeah, I guess you are right.
Same can be said for "Now that the dust has settled..." and "What's your excuse?"
try looking at the EU SMT fans they've waited about a year or so to get IV, which came out in the US the year before, if Nintendo had made the 3DS region free, the euros wouldn't have had to wait so long
One gets reported and the other doesn't.
I personally only autistically report anti-nintendo and PC shitposting, but completely ignore anti-sony shitposting, mostly to give people a sense of bias on the part of the mods in order to make them mad.
I know I'm not the only one that does this
They kept making retarded hardware and alienated their third party publishers. Subsequently Nintendo had to take up the slack and increase their output meaning the talent was spread too thin resulting in less quality titles.
>half a year ago
>two shitpost threads pop up at around the same time
>one anti-nintendo, the other anti-sony
>both reach 100 posts
>the anti-nintendo thread OP gets a public ban
>anti-sony thread left alone
>both threads get pruned half an hour later, with the nintendo thread at 400 posts, sony thread at 200
Yea I don't really care anymore, that basically confirmed my suspicions
Wish I kept the screenshots
>spending time on rehashing content for old games when they could be working on new releases
DLC and even Expansion packs were always just an easy way for a dev to make more money with the least possible work
>/v/ shits on Nintendo the most.
Hey man, theres no need to lie now
That's not the only way DLC is implemented though. There's plenty of free DLC, DLC that are basically expansion packs, additional costumes, maps, weapons, quests, you name it.
There's nothing inherently wrong with allowing a developer to continue adding to a game after they release it. Nothing is making them cut half the game to resell later.
What's wrong with that though? Are you saying Tiberian Dawn Covert Ops wasn't worth anything?
Or RA1 Aftermath? RA1 Counterstrike? You talkin shit about Yuri's Revenge, boy?
Well considering it didn't have all the available content that was available, I'd say its the fucking definition of incomplete. If it was complete you wouldn't have to buy day one DLC.
What would Momiji's favorite Nintendo game be?
>One thread gets reported a shit ton
>One thread doesn't
Mods only put down their hot pockets to check the report queue every 60 minutes or so, if that, and nobody reports Sony shitpost threads because Sony is /v/'s punching bag
> Sony is /v/'s punching bag
Sony is only /v/'s punching bag because of the rampant nintendroning.
As a member of the masterrace I assure you I respect sonyponies a hell of a lot more than I do nintendrones.
Except Atlus doesn't have an EU branch, it took Nintend this long to realize that Atlus couldn't do it themselves without much help, remember DeSu and how many patches it had to go through?
You sound like a faggot, just saying.
What are you talking about. even Mod is nintendo fan
No, Sony is /v/'s punching bag because of the entire PS3 fiasco and having 0 brand loyalty to the company since they make hardware, not games. Everyone just wants Sony's third party stuff on PC.
What excuses? That's exactly how it works, silly.
Except it is okay when Nintendo does it. The same standards we have for other companies don't really apply to Nintendo because they make games for fun and know what their audience wants. Also we grew up with them so of course we're going to be just a little biased.
>Sony is /v/'s punching bag because of the entire PS3 fiasco and having 0 brand loyalty to the company since they make hardware, not games
And nintendo has been rehashing the same shit since the 80s. What is your fucking point exactly?
How can you even compare the ps3's minor debacles to the wii which pretty much single-handedly ruined the 7th generation and brought endless waves of casuals to gaming?
>we grew up with them
>anime reaction face
how exactly did we not "grow up with" sony and microshit
I think a factor that should be considered is that a thread specifically about a console is a dozen times more likely to derail into shitposting, and a good deal of Nintendo threads are specifically about the games.
except Nintendo only cares about what it's Japanese audience wants, the only reason Little Mac was in Smash is because they thought that's what the US audience wanted, but the majority wanted Ripley or literally who characters
People like Nintendo games m8, what do you want to hear?
Oh boy, this is bait isn't it
Nintendo only make games for fun, that's why they region lock and never reduce the price of anything.
They are pretty good at making you think they care about you though.
>Sony is only /v/'s punching bag because of the rampant nintendroning.
and stealth xbots.
After the colossal failure of the xbone and wii u, their respective fanbases are the laughingstock of the Internet.
Here they are anonymous so they aren't accountable for idiotic claims and bitter revenge shitposting on the PS4.
All the casuals from the Wii left around 2008. Unless you really think the people who bought Wii's were the reason FPS games keep getting shittier.
Do you even listen to yourself? The casualization of the industry started with the PS1, continued with the PS2, PS3 and is still going on with the PS4. The Wii had no long term effect on anything except Nintendo's wallet, but consumers have always been drifting towards homogenization every since Sony found a way to mass appeal to people who weren't hardcore of the nuclear family.
>with all the Vita bashing threads they do
Please stop and consider you can't even post about the Wii U without it getting the same treatment. I don't know where this Sonygger victim complex came from recently, but in case you haven't noticed /v/ will shit on anything.
PS1 and PS2 did nothing wrong you faggot.
The only console that had an actual effect in casualizating games was the Xbox 360. Like you said, the Wii was complete shit but it had 0 influence in the industry.
>The casualization of the industry started with the PS1
>4 out of 8 generations are casualization
>first and secon gen don't even count anyway
So there are only 2 gens without casualization, maybe videogames as a whole are wrong?
You can't even trust those kind of images because people on /v/ are so pathetic that they actually photoshop images to use in console wars. And I have seen it from both sides.
PS1 and PS2 did nothing wrong, but they brought in tons of people who had never played video games before and if you knew something about anything you'd know widespread appeal always leads to simplification and sliding standards. Always.
The PS1 paved the way for the future we now live. The PS1 is why the Order is coming out. And it's not its fault, it shouldn't be blamed. It was a great little cosole with tons of great games. The PS2 was great as well.
But both had the same audience the PS3 and PS4 got. The consumers wanted simplified games, experiences, awesome things to happen and the industry followed suit. The 360 offering itself as a cheap multiplat machine is what sealed the fate of the industry.
I see lots of positive talk about the Vita regularly and I've not noticed much shitposting. Vita's kinda neat, wish Sony was still supporting it.
>had no performance increase from the GC
There's not enough stuff on the PS4 to make me care about it (Maybe later), Microsoft is garbage so I'm not touching the Bone, and I still have shit in my backlog to play.
I'm stuck with PC and Wii U (I couldn't resist Platinum and Smash in the same place) for now.
Because the mass market has low standards and devs discovered they could get similar sales by phoning it in as they could trying hard so long as they made their game hip or cool. The industry homogenized because devs figured out winning formulas and the industry went with it.
It's hardly a new occurance. The NES and SNES were blanketed with platformers of all kinds, but the shitty ones didn't sell.
Shadow of Mordor does. It shouldn't, but it does.
No you're still incredibly wrong.
Yes, because resolution is literally the only thing that you can improve. There was no performance increase from the NES to the SNES because they're both 240p. You are this retarded.
It's actually the opposite. Bad things are only OK when Sony does it.
That's why only 4 million people bought the Wii U and 10 million bought the PS4. Neither console has any games but we're to believe that Nintendo fans are somehow ignorant when we're obviously the majority, yet when Nintendo fucks up, we're not the ones who reward them for it.
But everything Sony does is regarded as amazing by their fans. They can never make a mistake.
>/v/ shits on Nintendo the most.
Well, yes Anon, it's because Nintendo is the worst. What's the problem, Anon? Do you need a shoulder rub? :3
It is ONLY bad when Nintendo does it!
You guys took too long to respond to my post so that means you're sitting there struggling to point out some kind of "contradiction" or desperately seeking some kind of "logical fallacy" you can point out.
I'll just be leaving the thread now.
>herp derp im a newfag
/v/ is made up of predominately PC gamers who own at least one other console.
Its effectively PC > Sony > Nintendo > Microsoft
If you actually fucking saw one of the bazillion goddamn polls we had you would know this
