I think CDPROJEKT is the worst developer in the business and that they embody everything wrong with video games today, from negative design tenets (detective mode, stunted exploration, hamfisted narrative, qte combat, scripted sequences, padding through crafting... to colussion with loanshark companies to entrap people while selling other people's software with no percentage going to original developers and working closely with EA. I also think they have a dedicated team of shills on /v/ because Pollack labor is cheap.
>I think CDPROJEKT is the worst developer in the business
Holy shit I legitimately thought I was the only on on /v/ who thought this, no joke.
They pander to kids with the shitty forced sex scenes and expect you to suck their cocks because hurr we don't care about piracy
Only for them to turn around and sneakily sue alledged pirates.
Atmosphere is what you get when you combine all aspects of story telling. You can't really say "atmosphere is most important" because it wouldn't exist without a good everything else. Your opinions isn't unpopular it's just plain stupid.
I think that's a popular opinion
However, I like the system. Customizable, flexible enough to be able to use a lot of sleights after multiple reloads, but restrictive enough to make it a challenge.
What did you think of this, OP?
i don't know man, every time i post this list I get a torrent of hate
Exactly why I hate them too
"Oh man I can't wait for the EIGHTH Mario kart!"
"So psyched for the 40th pokemon"
"The newest Mario brothers is so amazing after lucky number 1000 right?"
I'll take what this guy said a step further and say GTA in general is a horrible, bloated, lifeless series based on a nihilistic premise and designed for children to play. "wow I am so cool gangster" "wow i am steal car and police chaes me and then i die" "wow easter egg we are all in on the joke" x90000 It's a shame that a would-be interesting open-world city is based on an entirely flaccid premise
I don't hate any company or dev. If Phil Fish, Activision, Ubisoft, and EA colloborated on a game, I'd still buy it if it was legitimately good and appealing to me.
Artstyle alone can't ever put me off a game.
so many porn games in my computer, I keep that a tight secret.
Metroid Prime 1 is easily the worst game in the trilogy. Corruption and Echoes both improve on its narrative, combat, bosses, world design, art direction, music and equipment. I have no idea why it's still considered the best of the three.
Super Metroid is also overrated too. It's fantastic, arguably the most atmospheric 2D game of all time and probably has the best replay value in the series, but more interesting things have been done with the Metroid franchise since. Even Fusion had far better boss fights than Super Metroid did, proving there's a lot of room to improve on its concepts.
Final Fantasy XV's new Type-0 inspired combat direction looks more interesting to me than the wannabe Kingdom Hearts 3 we saw with Versus, even if the wording in the interview is concerning.
List like these are silly and each category should be judges on a game by game basis.
Story doesn't mean shit in arcadey titles like beat-em ups and shmups, but is crucial to an RPG or Point & Click game. Music doesn't matter all too much in an arena FPS or MOBA but is a huge deal breaker in a rhythm game, and can be used more effectively in adventure games where they can help set the tone for a dungeon than a puzzle game where you just need something that wont get repetitive fast.
Fixed that for you. I can only hope that most of these are shitposters testing bait.
Whose worse? David Cage or Ellen Paige?
Smash is like once per console, and Pikmin took 9 years to get a sequel. And StarFox had been dead for a while, it's more of a revival than a rehash. idunno about DK tho, seems like they've been picking up the pace with that lately
