The AI players are probably "fake", as in they don't really go around in the map and fight stuff. Making an AI for this seems pretty hard and if the 3DS can't handle four ice climbers, having 3 bots + monsters for everyone seems impossible.

The matches I have had with friends were ok, but it was over quickly once we actually got to fight each other. For some reasons even the stock mode is timed to one minute too.

It's a shame because without these limitations I could see this as one of my favorite additions as person who loved Kirby Air Ride.

Instead we get a shitty city trial clone that completely misses the point of the original City Trial, which was exploration. I just spent hours free roaming around the city as a kid. I don't care about Dark Pit or Lucina or the doc. If Sakurai hadn't thought up of his shitty new gamemode, we could have all of the above (minus maybe the adventure mode ala melee).

Fucking hack. And no, I don't believe anything he says about Ice Climbers not working properly on the 3DS. If the game can handle Smash Run (a large stage with four fighters and lots of NPCs), it can certainly handle a fighter and another fighter with basic pathfinding.

Actually, you know what? I believe him thinking the 3DS wouldn't be able to handle the Ice Climbers. They were cut out early. Which means they were in the game in very early prototypes.

Before the game was properly optimized. That's like removing the Pyro in TF2's alpha because his flamethrower's particles caused the game to stutter.

What a fucking hack. Yes, I'm mad. The game is decent, and yet it had the potential to be great. Fuck you, Sakurai.

Rosalina is beyond OP and will be this games Metaknight, I promise you.

She just has too many good tools at her disposal. Unlike IC, she's still really good even without Luma because all of her normals have good priority, little recovery and she can dive off the stage for days.
