Malon dreams that one day a knight in shining armor will come and sweep her off her feet.
>already sexing up Malon
Might as well hop on that bandwagon
>she's just a lonely farm girl with no one to keep her company except her lethargic dad and the animals
>a mysterious fairy boy she's never met wanders into her life
>he helps her find her father
>she bonds with him and introduces him to her only friend, Epona
>she teaches him the song her possibly-dead mother taught her
>he disappears for 7 years
>dat old comic where link rapes her until she get impregnated
Called Bad Zelda or something, but probably, yeah.
The Ruto part was my favorite. The very beginning is nice too, where they try to set a trap for Link by baiting with Saria, and he completely ignores her and rapes everyone else.
I can see the appeal in both.
Malon is the girl you can be friends with, who is nice and pure enough to not run off with another guy leaving you in the dust, and wait for you to grow up with her, before you finally confess and you get marries.
Cremia is already a kind of mother to her little sister who just wants to see her happy, who is also probably very lonely, and would value you as a friend unless you made a more romantic move.
>who is nice and pure enough to not run off with another guy leaving you in the dust
Being wise/experienced, doesn't mean a person is going to "leave you in the dust". I think it's really creepy to be attracted to naivety, because you're too afraid of her leaving you otherwise. You're essentially saying that you want a girl that doesn't know she can do better than you. And why should she wait for you to grow up with her? That's a weird fantasy. You want to be involved with only one person since childhood?
For one, she's the only remotely signficant female in the game who doesn't end up being a sage.
going by the theory that the sages are dead, royalty can't marry some fucking kid from the middle of the woods, meaning that Malon is literally the only option
>hey anon if you beat the game in under 1 hour the ending cutscene changes to Link and Malon's wedding and you unlock the tuxedo tunic!
Shit, why are you putting those huge nose rings on those cows !?
Do you not see they're way too big ?
The cow is even looking sad and depressed all the fucking time !
What the FUCK is wrong with you !?
Bet you feel good, huh? Bet you feel good to torture some peaceful animals, huh, bet you feel BIG.
Like, you big woman. Well fuck you. What do you think I am? You think I'd support a cow torturer ? Fuck that ! I don't need that shit in my life.
I'm getting out of here, I'm going to save the world without the help of animal tormentors like you, fuckface !
Nabooru had hot pants for Link? I don't remember anyone but Ruto and Malon wanting his master sword.
And on a side note, I just realized Nabooru was being controlled by the Twinrova for 7 fucking years. She lost even more of her life than Link did.
>"If you can successfully get the Silver Gauntlets... I'll do something great for you!"
>7 years later
>"If only I knew you would become such a handsome man... I should have kept the promise I made back then..."
Ranch girls are the best!
So while we're on the subject:
LoZ tends to have reoccuring characters throughout the games, is Marin from LA considered to be the same as Malon?
Both are red headed siren types
I agree, but had to post the full thing for sake of completion.
to that end here's this by the same artist
Even if the sages aren't "dead", it's clear they have ascended the mortal realm. Because they can transform into light and fly around the world. As seen in the game's ending. But I believe that the sages died, because Nabooru was last seen being sent off to be "brainwashed" again. I find it doubtful that she somehow managed to escape and perform a ritual where she becomes a sage. or Somehow Darunia stepped into the boss room, and did anything other than confront the dragon.
It should be noted that the sages exist in the future timeline, which leads to WW. In the ending cinematic, the night falls, and everyone parties the celebration of Ganon's demise. The Sages fly atop death mountain, and look at the sunrise. As the sun comes up, it transitions to Link in the past. The whole thing is kind of symbolic. Showing the night fall on the future that you left behind, and then new life coming as the new past is revealed.
It's not known whether or not the sages exist in the new past. Were the sages plucked out of that existence? Or where they still around to re-discover sagehood? Or were they retroactively awoken as sages? We can't really know. But considering that the OoT sages aren't referenced in the future, and all the sages are instead white beings, I lean to the side that says the OoT sages were not sages in the past. And that there is potential for Link to have waifu'd any one of them. I think the fact TP Link lives in a tree near the lost woods, indicates a connection with Saria.
easy to be, since they re-use the same models.
Women are programmed to want a mysterious figure (genes from outside of their own region) to suddenly sweep her off her feet both figuratively (give her both emotional and mental stimulation) and literally (bring her to new places / experiences / resources).
It's a biological imperative for men to seek out exotic women and women to look for exotic men since it creates enough genetic diversity to help offspring have a greater chance of surviving sudden environmental changes.
Zelda doujins, haha.
There's some good art with lactating Malon at least.
>people actually preferred Link/Zelda pairing in Ocarina of Time
>fucking OCARINA OF TIME ZELDA.... Basically Princess 'Colossal Fuckup' Zelda
>Not rooting for Link, the now adult and hardened veteran, settling down with Malon and building a family in a content and humble life.
If the white sages are murdered, then wouldn't Rauru mention that? Also, for what reason would the new sages need to wait in order to awaken as sages? Why not just awaken earlier, instead of having Link run around 6 dungeons?
In my opinion, fate called the sages to the temples. Because inside the temples, they will awaken as sages. Be it through ritual, or death. Somehow, their spirit will ascend. But the evil that Ganon curses the temples with, prevents them from making the ascension. So Link has to purge the evil, and then their spirit can move on to sagehood.
Malon and Talon (OoT) were inspired by Marin and Tarin (LA).
Latter Malon and Talon appeared in one of the Oracle games (I think OoA), wich are believed to star the same Link from ALttP and LA, and to happen before the latter.
There is a page in Hyrule Historia that implies that (in universe) Marin and Tarin were based on the memories Link had of Malon and Talon from that Oracle game.
Marin also had a trophy in SSBM.
>people still doubt that Link/Malon is canon
I think meta-wise that Marin was a red headed dream version of Zelda, hence why Link referred her has Zelda when he first woke up.
Then laster on the developers decided to take inspiration of Marin to make Malon.
Malon is a Zelda clone
Link doesn't own the ranch. He works for the dude that owned the ranch. How the fuck would Link's descendant not own the ranch?
TP Link lives in a treehouse, near the forest, near the lost woods, and near a dungeon that is theorized to be Deku Tree's corpse. Inside of the trees, live monkeys that have the Kokiri symbol on their shoulders.
>People still doubt that Link/Saria is canon.
That's possible. But again, if 6 of the white sages got murdered, wouldn't you think Rauru might mention something about that?
And what about Rauru? He's not all white. So why would the others be?
c'mon Anon, everyone knows that OoT Link had nowhere to go after the game, but knew the ranch would take him. Worked on the ranch, married Malon and died in war while his child was a baby.
Everyone knows that after the Deku Tree's death, the protection was lifted from Kokiri village. Link having no where to go after the events of Majora's Mask went back to his old friend Saria who he now understood still misses him. He returned to protect the forest, but the Kokiri already retreated inside the Great Deku Tree for safety. He ended up making a life with Saria, and as new travelers ended up discovering the town, it eventually reformed into Ordon Village.
>you never fucked Malon in the stables
>yfw this is where Link and Malon go to fuck
>they have a literal roll in the hay
>Link a lolicon
He loves them big ol' titties.
That reminds me, I wonder if Karane was intended to look somewhat similar to Malon. She kinda did get a knight in a shining armor.
>yfw OoT Link became a Stalfos after Malon's death.
This was my Malon during Skyward Sword
This is horseshit. The sages all have descendants. Their descendants show up as the maidens in ALTP. The Sage's ability to father/mother offspring predates the actual sages. Which ALBW affirmed this isn't a retcon, and it is possible and canon they had descendants despite half of the OOT ones not being human.
The reason they couldn't fuck around with Link is because they had sage shit to do to get ready for the final battle.
I don't buy into this at all. Dead sages can't sage, as established by every other game featuring sages. Even on it's face, not taking any outgame material into consideration; Nabooru is expressly stated to be alive by Twinrovia before the fight with her. "Brainwash" is not a euphemism for "Kill". There is no way to read that sentence and assume that happened.
And what ritual are you on about? The temples or some kind of spirit in them are sentient, and all act as portals to the Sacred Realm. They have the in-universe the in-game ability to open gateways into the Sacread Realm. The Temple of Time saved Link from being killed by Ganondorf BECAUSE IT SENSED HE WAS BEING FOLLOWED AND WOULD BE KILLED BY HIM; so why the crap wouldn't or other temples use their sacred powers to save the righteous? Nevermind their "Chosen Ones"?
Says who? Bet the Deku Tree made them anatomically correct.
True love, anon. They were childhood friends. And it's not as if she's a child. She just has the body of a child.
They were just really good friends.
Zelda apologizes for being a colossal fuckup. That's not exactly romantic.
Sheik never allowed Link to interact with her. She spouted exposition, gave music lessons and left. Giving him neither the chance to develop a rapport or emotional bond. How does that suggest a pairing beyond onesided pinning on Zelda's end that she wouldn't remember?
The Manga is pure nonsense. Link is not Hiccup, Link has no pet dragon.
Malon on the other hand actually exposes affection for Link.
isn't that the dream of all simple country girls?
>Every time Link would come to the ranch, she'd give him a bottle of freshly squeezed milk
>Even if he didn't need it, she insisted he take it
>The last time he leaves the ranch to fight Ganon, she feels like she will never see him again and hugs him tightly from behind
>She hopes the feeling of her ample breasts prodding his back would be enough to sway him to stay with her forever, but she knows it won't work
>All she can do is hold back her tears as he rides off through the ranch gates one last time
>After defeating Ganon and going back in time, seven years later Link visits the ranch
>Malon, seeing Link for the first time since they were young, embraces him with a tight hug
>Oddly, she is crying, tears steaming down her face like she remembered something she never knew before
>Malon wondered why she was crying, but she was too happy to care
>The Temple of Time saved Link from being killed by Ganondorf BECAUSE IT SENSED HE WAS BEING FOLLOWED AND WOULD BE KILLED BY HIM
NOPE! Nice theory. But if you look at the mechanics, you can see that that's all it is, mechanical. The Master Sword as the ability to repel evil, so as long as Link is shrouded in the light of the sword, he can't be touched by Ganon. Atop of that, it's pretty much implied that the owl is either Rauru himself, or Rauru's eyes, keeping watch on Link. Rauru would have known that Link was followed, ad used his light to protect him. The portal to the sacred realm is just a portal. The temples aren't sentient.
How could any of the sages have entered a portal into the sacred realm without a trigger to open the portal? Nabooru assuming she's acutally being brainwashed, is incapable of triggering the portal. Darunia, assuming he's fighting the dragon is incapable, Saria assuming she never found a way out of the danger she was in, is incapable. Merely defeating the monster in the temple isn't a trigger.
>Dead sages can't sage, as established by every other game featuring sages.
Actually we don't know if a sage needs a mortal form, in order to do their duty. We have seen sages, in sage form, die for good. But we haven't seen a mortal die, and lose their ability to awaken. Spirits are real in the Zelda universe, and so it's possible that the spirit can live on in sagehood. Again, giving them powers like being able to transform into light. Something that not even the very much mortal sages in WW are shown to do.
Some of it has to do with lighting. For the rest, I guess they just think she looks better as a brunette.
I'm still not a huge fan of how they allude that that's another Link, but has no visual homage or reference to the iconic green tunic
why would he have the tunic when he was never the Hero?
>She's clearly a redhead.
Not ingame she ain't. Anju is a redhead. The Gerudo are redheads. Malon has a brunette with highlights.
Wasn't it implied that Ingo occasionally raped and molested her during the 7 year time skip, after Ganondorf promoted him to be the ranch's owner?
No. Why would that ever be implied?
....soooo you want a ntr doujin where malon gets taken from link by a mysterious man in shining armor, who totally is ganondorf, who just happened to escape because the Sacred Realm is only locked with a deadbolt and a chain?
I just assumed that was the case as a child.
I looked at his spiteful, angry, redneck ass, and thought there's no way you can keep him alone with a child for 7 years, and have nothing happen. Shit doesn't add up!
>he comes back 7 years later
>takes the horse and fucks off
>disappears after the defeat of Ganon, never to return again
>ends up fucking the alternate timeline Malon
adult-timelineMalon is suffering.
In Ganondorfs busy schedule of being an all-powerful dictator, how the fuck did he even give enough of a shit to give some random asshole control over a small farm?
Did Ingo just go "HEY I'M AN EVIL MOTHERFUCKER LIKE YOU PROMOTE ME"?
It's not known how old Kokiri actually are. Since they forever appear like children. Saria, having uncommon, almost supernatural wisdom, is essentially an adult in a child's body.
Well think about it.
That fucking ranch is like the only thing in Hyrule Fields that matters.
Ganondorf's Great Evil Kingdom was composed of the following: A Death Castle and molester-infested market town, a shit-tier village, a cow ranch, and a desert filled with big-nosed women.
That cow ranch was super important in the grand scheme of things.
Actually, Being a Gerudo, they prided themselves on their horse riding skills. Ganon rides a special type of Gerudo Stallion, so says the gossip stones. Ingo was tasked with breeding the best horse for Ganon. Ingo promised Ganon Epona, since she was the toughest horse in the stable. Which is why he freaks out when he gambles the horse, losing her to LInk.
This is all in game info. But you have to pay attention to ever shred of dialog, or you're probably going to miss it.
Rauru himself explained that the temple, not he nor the sword, was the force and mind that froze Link until he was ready to face Ganon. That it in fact moved him to the Chamber of Sages to keep him safe.
>Actually we don't know if a sage needs a mortal form, in order to do their duty.
We can however agree they can't have children without one?
Maybe she wasn't ready to be a sage then? Maybe the vacancy wasn't made by Ganon. Maybe it's because Nabooru wanted to rob the temple and run away. Maybe she needed the experience subjugated by Ganon to truly gain the will to fight against him. Maybe she was achieving spiritual enlightenment while her body was being puppeteered.
At any rate Nabooru was abducted outside the temple.
Why horses and not cows and chickens?
>all the village goers that come to the ranch to get milk and eggs see her getting fucked by the animals while they get their goods
>she laughs and thanks them for their patronage
It makes Ganondorf sound sort-of pathetic. I mean his ledger report must've only been a page long. His harem is like nonexistent. His castle is like 90% traps for some theoretic encounter with someone that learns how to fly.
So all he does is play his organ until his fingers bleed. Also that big ass nose of his must be hell with his vision. Maybe he has that problem where he has like a blind spot and has to look at the music sheet a certain way to do anything.
Jesus, no wonder he was watching Link's journey so intently.
Because the Hero's Shade was never meant to be the Hero of Time in the first place. Most definitely another Link but not the Hero of Time specifically.
Aonuma rolled with the fan theories like he did with the timeline and made it canon to please the fans.
I was suddenly reminded of that one collage of images of Link individually having sex with every single female in Ocarina of Time.
I think he meant that Ganondorf murdered all the white sages but Rauru, and THEN possessed the temples with malinfluence.
I admire your passion but you're wrong. For one, ALBW's taking place on some non-canon third timeline is speaking for itself, non-canon; hence why the backstory of the game doesn't bring up OoT at all, only ALttP.
The Sages are dead and this was concretely confirmed by Spirit Tracks own analogs, dieing and Anjean stating they all reincarnate someday but had to ascend and look after Hyrule; just as the ones in OoT.
As for "dead sages can't sage," ALttP's sages were awakened and became Sages after Agahnim banished them, which is the same as killing them, as find with the intent in ALBW when they're paintings (and that's not even counting that they're not the traditional seven, but actually eight either). The sages in TWW remained alive because they're predecessors awakened their memories of their past-lives with their respective sonatas.
>Rauru himself explained...
He explained no such thing. Show me.
From what I'm reading, he doesn't make a distinction who or what decided to seal Link. I think it's more plausible that Rauru, being the all-seeing sage he is, anticipated Ganon's attempt at Link's life, and enacted a measure to keep him safe. It makes more sense than assuming that the temple is sentient.
>We can however agree they can't have children without one?
Yes, agreed. However, remember that when Link is sent into the past, the sages we know remain the the future. What I'm saying, is that in the past, there is another Saria who doesn't become a sage. Or maybe she does, and still keeps her mortal form, because she doesn't die.
>Maybe she wasn't ready to be a sage then?
But as you said, it's the entience of the temple that decides these things, right? What advantage was there to wait to make Nabooru a sage? We, the player, are never given a reason like "spiritual enlightenment".
>At any rate Nabooru was abducted outside the temple.
Fair point. But explain Darunia. The last we see him, he enters the boss room. We are to assume that he's facing off against Volvagia. Why would the temple wait for Darunia to face mortal danger before whisking him away?
That aspect never bothered me, honestly. There's just too many other better ladies. And I wasn't a fan of tsundere little snots growing up. She grew up nice, though.
My proof-reading really failed me there.
Also wanted to add to the argument that Nabooru probably died due to injuries incurred fighting Link.
"They say that Gerudos sometimes come to Hyrule Castle Town Market to look for boyfriends."
>hers are ruined by being fishtits
She's just more exotic is all.
There are far more offputting things. One trip to /d/ and fishtits seems mild.
I'm too normalfag for everything on /d/ except
There you go Anon
is this my excuse to dump my femlink folder
He was just a boy born unto the Gerudo clan, raised from a distance, and told that he was destined for great things and be a POWERFUL ruler.
Pampered and surrounded by whispers he trained his martial and mental prowess; eventually culminating in his coup of the Hyrulian monarchy.
Rumors reach him of a boy who is gathering artifacts and resources to usurp him, take the throne back, TAKE HIS POWER AWAY. But that's all Ganondorf is at this point. The desire for power. The broken and delusional boy grown into a broken and delusional man.
Yet this boy is a nice distraction, for Ganondorf has taken the POWER he as always desired, he has no idea what to do with it. He has only been told his entire life that it is his to take and he has no goals other than to hoard it. A rival trying to take his POWER gives him a new goal, crush this boy.
But the boy disappears, and Hyrule stagnates in the dark magic Ganondorf used to conquer it. Temples become corrupted, creatures mutate, and bodies rise from the dead. All the while, Ganondorf paces in his castle, basking in the POWER that he does not know what to do with.
And then... the boy returns, now a man. His rival, the one who wants to take his POWER from him.
Finally a direction to focus his POWER in.
Why are zelda threads so comfy
The moment i see a screenshot form OoT or MM i get really nostalgic and fuzzy inside
Malon pics make it even better
They just are. The games are fun, pretty easy, and there's a lot of them. The waifus are cute, Link is best husbando, and there's lots of cute/cool fanart.
As the creator of the poll, I can tell you that Malon's lead appears to have been a natural occurrence. Either that, or some sly devil figured out how to slowly build her votes over the course of months.
Malon wasn't my vote btw.
>That seductive look in her eyes
>tfw using screenshots from OoT/MM as wallpaper
Seems like a set-up for a hentai manga. Childhood friends, one male and one female. Her parents are farmers, his parents are knights in service to the royalty. They make a promise and both separate ways.
Ending A). He comes back as a knight in shining armor, and proposes to her.
Ending B) He dies in battle, and she's left to die alone in sadness.
How did this arugment become about the metaphysics of the temples? Legend of the Temples: "An awakening voice will call out to those chosen to return to their rightful place." I would go as far as to say this voice from the Sacred Realm are the songs Link learns.
Because Rauru is in his actual body. You can't be physical while in the Sacred Realm. Skyward Sword's most everlasting contribution to the lore confirmed this.
You may be able to plausibly claim she isn't the best, but to claim people who like her have shit taste is completely unreasonable. She ranks high on the waifu scale no matter whom you prefer.
Fucking fags. You wouldn't think a dumb waifu thread could be ruined but leave it to /d/
Ending A happens all the time. I want an Ending B where she finds out he died and slowly loses her mind., killing men to recreate her lost loved one. Could do all kinds of crazy sexual shit with that.
Because her fanbase is far and away the most obnoxious of the OoT fanbase, before later ones came like Tetra and Midna fans.
The majority only like her for her supposed huge breasts, which were never any bigger than most anyone else's, and 'girl next door' essentially means "Shallow demure girl who will love everything I do no matter what cause there's nothing more to her."
I like fanservice femLink stuff too but I would love to see a more conservative design as an option in a game someday.
Why was Great Bay so hideous compared to the rest of the game? I mean look at that shit, it looks like SM64.
That is the problem with living on a ranch. That's not a very sociable existence. Civilization is always somewhere relatively far off since ranching needs wide open spaces of unspoiled land. Also ranching is hard work. You work 12 hour days, every day. The animals don't take vacations; they don't take days off. So you don't get to either.
So even once every chore is done; and there's maybe an hour of daylight left; do you think anyone will routinely manage to bath and head into the city? No that's a rare occurrence. The stereotype of farmers lacking in social graces isn't exclusively to insinuate they're poorly educated. Just because they live isolated and they tend to form stronger interpersonal relationships just because their fewer human connections are more valueable to them, because effort has to be made to maintain them.
Honestly Malon is a friendly, attractive young girl and has a voice that makes animals flock to her. Surely she must have taken a liking to some other child in Castle Town waiting for Talon to finish the delivery right? How many do you bet came to visit her?
Ending A happens all the time because it's a happy, sweet ending. Believe it or not, I like stories I read to have happy endings.
>tfw horribly cynical person concerning the real world but incredible sucker for romance in fiction
I don't support /pol/ in general, but I can't help this
I get that. Then again, Link's always looked "elfy" to a degree.
>tfw always thought that the skullkid in TP's lost woods was link, since he had the leaf shield, the instrument, and the fact he was left-handed
>but the Hero's Phantom was also a leftie, and y'know, a hero.
Could it be possible that fate demanded his spirit be split in twain?
Well, I personally have never stated my love for her is because of breasts. She's a pretty redhead and a sweetheart to boot. She got as much screentime and background detail of any of the ladies of OoT short of maybe Zelda, so I'm not sure why you think she's shallow.
Actually that's probably exactly what is making me think of elves, the shorts, thigh highs and cloak.
I now want to make a game with that character from the pic with massive amounts of exploration; going through the woods, towns, desert, temples, the large field, and all sorts of shit.
How did I start arguing with you? No offense. But what happened to that other anon? Well any, I'll spar with your insane ass.
>How did this arugment become about the metaphysics of the temples?
When the anon said that the temples are sentient.
>Legend of the Temples: "An awakening voice will call out to those chosen to return to their rightful place."
Rauru. Rauru says that the Chamber of Sages, resides in the Temple of Light, which resides smack dab in the middle of the sacred realm.
>Because Rauru is in his actual body.
Uhhh... I assume you meant to say "isn't in his actual body"?
I don't... I lost track of what I was even arguing about. Why are we assuming that Ganon killed a bunch of sages, if it's never mentioned or hinted at in the game? In fact, there's a clue that mentions Rauru as being an "ancient" sage. Implying that he's older than your modern sage. So anything could have happened, which resulted in the older sages moving on.
Someone better cap this shit
I suppose. But would Skullkid have left Termina to find his lost friend in the Lost Woods? The one in OoT had the skull mask, too, but the one in TP didn't have any mask.
Or the whole thing was just the Skullkid "playing" with his old, old friend.
And then he gets pissed when he realizes that, no, you aren't his friend. You must have hurt him somehow and stole his clothes.
I know comparisons to Dark Souls aren't viewed highly in the Zelda community, but that sort of connected world with that level of detail and atmosphere would make me so happy in a Zelda game.
Don't forget fights with stalphos, wolfos, fiery bubbles, and other crazy cool enemies. Fuck now I'm hype for making the game but I don't have a single lick of ability to do so.
Such is the shame of nice ideas.
The test on her dress isn't super deep or anything. It's just Hylian text. Which is essentially Japanese letters (I forgot which one) written in an alternative way. I just looked up the table that translated the Hylia text to Japanese text, and then identified the letters, and sounded it out.
I know the feeling all too well. Games that you have planned out in your head but can't make or share are real suffering.
>I know comparisons to Dark Souls aren't viewed highly in the Zelda community
Even so, there's a lot of good that can come from combining the best things from two popular ARPGs.
Throw in a bit of Dragon's Dogma to boot.
To be fair, since you aren't just screaming about how she's the canon girl as proven by Hyrule Historia or whatever, none of the characters are really well-developed. It's more that in her cause she lacks defining traits. "Sweet" and such things are very base.
not seeing the issue here.
It is supposedly SOME Link, though there is no definitive confirmation that it is the OoT/MM Link. Epecially since it is kind of ambiguous about what happens to Link after MM, and considering the hero's grave you can find in the castle.
>Link, the descendent of the Hero of Time: [...] The spirit of Link's ancestor, the Hero of Time, teaches him his secrets. Ever since returning to the Child Era, the swordsman has lamented the fact that he was not remembered as a hero. This is the reason he passes down the proof of his courage and his secret techniques to the Link of this era, addressing him as "son".
Hyrule Historia confirmed
I had the idea that it would be neat to have a Zelda (or other adventure game) wherein you are the Hero knowingly breaking the seals on the big bad so you can get at him and destroy him for good. The objective would be to destroy the ancient temples and guardians instead of killing the evil creatures.
Would be extremely based on or simply in that setting completely, but was aiming more on expanding things. Also introducing other mechanics and junk, like that idea of Dragon's Dogma.
I don't know man, I just want a bigger, greater Zelda with graphics and physics so damn good you can see individual blades of grass and your clothes flutter in the wind before you get in a fight with some armored asshole so shiny you see your own hair in it. I want to dream, anon.
The problem is not comparing zelda with dark souls
The problem is comparing dark souls with everything ob every board
I'd love a Zelda game with world exploration on the scope of Xenoblade or something like that
A mix of DD and DS combat would probably be the best for a Zelda game. Souls is deliberate and duel oriented, Dogma seemed to have more flow and be more speed and technique oriented. Really though, I just want a Zelda with harder combat, and a bigger/more interesting world.
Oh. I had never seen that. Cool thanks. So if it is his spirit, is there any confirmation that MM went all stalfos like people say? He always looked more like human remains than a stalfos to me.
Simple enough. A BBEG is doing some evil things despite being sealed away somehow. Either a proxy or whatever. You're told to explore temples that are so old no one can really remember what they are, and get rid of the monsters that are lurking in each one thinking they're somehow tied to the evil going around.
You're tricked however and when you destroy the final guardian you unleash the ancient evil just like he planned.
Basically the same thing that happened with the Spiritual Stones in OoT, only without Ganondorf cursing the dungeons and the bosses being naturally there.
That's a pretty good idea. But I wouldn't like the main character very much if his motives were to act so selfishly. What if there was another party that convinced him this was a good plan? And as things started getting shakier after each temple, this other party kept reassuring him that he was doing the right thing.
No, I know what you're thinking by this point. But this other party isn't actually the bad guy tricking Link. t's really a good guy, with a dumb plan. And things get a lot worse before they get better.
>Roll around and behind a moblin, launching it in the air with a rising swing
>Charge up sword spin and catch it on the way down
>Leap up and plunge your sword into the downed moblin to finish
She loves animals, especially her horse. She misses her mother, the person who composed the song she loves so much, and can be found singing it frequently. She dreams of a knight whisking her away. She works hard for her father and the ranch. I feel they painted a pretty rich story to her.
Should things from older games come into play, such as the hookshot, Megaton hammer, TP's gyro top thing, mirror shield, and all that?
What would the new musical instrument be?
I always thought the Spinner was a cool idea that was underutilized. I'd love to see scattered ruins or broken walls around the landscape you could ride around on with it.
A fairy companion is all the "helpful" advice of a pawn, with none of the actual assistance.
Of course, it's not like the current Zelda formula is that different from DD or DS. Just some of the mechanics and the layout/structure/atmosphere. The best game is something that combines the best parts from various good games.
I can't recall what they look like in TP (and Google isnt helping) but in OoT/MM, they always looked like cartoony dogs in the head, to me, and the Shade looks normal. Also, it is an adult skeleton, which means Link would have wonder around for 7 some odd years to become a grown stalfos or exit and re-enter the lost woods to transform. Unless I am missingsomething (totally possible). Also, he is in nice armor looks less like a ragged skeletal transformation form his tunic wearing self and more like someone was buried in nice classy royally provided armor
True, but at least then people would have a reason to think Navi is annoying.
I mean, sure, I liked Tatl just fine, but I never understood the hate for Navi.
Midna was basically Tatl on steroids.
I have no idea how HW is so I can't really say anything on that, but if it's going in that direction then I guess so.
Sounds good. Guess some cool ass returns for the big stuff can be there.
And I was thinking the instrument could be a reed pipe or something, unless someone has a better idea.
Exactly; and there's always dangers in traveling at night without undead skulking around. But think how much would that mean to you? If for the first time ever someone spent hours of their time going out of their way just to see you?
Then they come back again and again? Just because they have SOME interest in you? Not necessarily purely platonic, not necessarily definitely romantic. But the desire to have your company for a while? I'd hope it'd make you feel loved on some level.
Coming back around on this; having someone irresistible roll in and sweep her off her feet is the fantasy the gossip stone gives... and the sad reality of her circumstance. Without someone coming to her, or taking her way from the ranch; she's likely never to make a meaningful relationship with someone.
The same people who loudly claim Navi to be so annoying are the same people who talk about how the Water Temple was so hard. AKA, faggot "geek is chic" people who played the game years later or not at all.
I think it is just a case of people remembering her "LISTEN" as being worse than it was. Then it became all meme-y and people who want to be nerdy jumped on the bandwagon, and what was once good for a little chuckle became exactly what everything else worth a little chuckle becomes when exposed to the internet
how about a flute/recorder kind of thing
The only problem with the Water temple as far as I know is the whole problem of "Get key A for door A, get key B on door C" or some bullshit where you screw up the order and have to go hunt down that little key.
I never realized how under-appreciated Navi/Tatl/Midna were until I played Skyward Sword.
Hands down, Fi is the worst and most annoying companion.
>Master your batteries are low
>Master there is an 80% chance Zelda is over there
>Master your batteries are low
>Master there is a 90% chance we need to do what the nice man says
>Master there is a 50% chance your batteries are low.
>Master there is a 101% chance I will not shut up for any reason ever.
That, on top of the weeby vocaloid autotune voice, I can't stand her.
please no. it was an annoying minigame in OoT and a pointless clusterfuck in TP
This was my problem playing OOT/
But I played it the first time on an emulator, and due to technical issues or generally being 11; the surface of water wasn't transparent; it was a solid sheet of white and black.
I don't think I'd have missed that hole without the view in the cutscene being obscured.
good games should be comfy and have good mechanics, not one or the other
I try not to blame characters for the design failures of the creators. I don't hate Axl because the guys making X7 decided to sideline X to introduce him.
But I hate Fi for all the reasons everyone else does.
I mean the Hero knows that the only way to destroy the Evil Menace is to break his seal and get right up into dick kicking range, so he breaks the magic manacles or whatever that are in the ancient temples, killing or destroying whatever was left behind by the people that imprisoned Jerkbutt the Third in his special prison so Hero can walk his way into the cell and do his thing.
It's not fishing that's the problem, it's doing it in a way that isn't boring and/or frustrating.
Don't you think TP Link could be a direct descendent of Link and Malon? The Oot couple get married and carry on the ranch and have kids. TP Link works on a ranch in TP. He could be the Grandchild (or more) and him learning from the dead Oot Link would mean it's his grandfather communicating with him (which TP Link would probably would never know, but Oot Link knows)
Sounds like a selfish shithead of a character. I don't want to play as that.
Sounds like some Donte shit.
>Sage: You can't come in here, Link.
>Link: Fuck you! I'm Link dah demon slayer!
Well I guess that'll take quite a bit of planning and working out to find what makes it fun and worth doing, exactly.
How about the archery system? Should it be first person unless locked on like it was before?
TP's archery with the Hawkeye was satisfying as fuck.
Maybe there's two bad guys, the Evil Menace that's terrorizing things from the start and the Ancient Evil that no one knows about being sealed. The Evil Menace corrupts the guardians of the temple to become his minions, and the hero dispatches them one by one, but both don't realize what the guardians originally were though the Hero gets some cryptic clues from the relieved spirits of the guardians that are released from the Evil Menace's curse upon death.
>Don't you think TP Link could be a direct descendent of Link and Malon? The Oot couple get married and carry on the ranch and have kids. TP Link works on a ranch in TP
OoT Link had descendants, sure. It's not given or at all clear it's Malon. Several centuries must have passed considering how different Hyrule had become, Link in TP is just a kid who lives next to the forest that has a part time job on a ranch, which makes no sense if his ancestors were the owners of the only ranch in Hyrule (in the very center of the field even).
sorry for the folder dumping
Right but characters that aren't bad; or are corrected in subsequent installments still have the the tendency to have blame heaped on them for issues that coincide with them by many a fanbase in many a way.
I wish the Gerudo would come back already. I'm tired of weird tree spirit things and some animal tribe only for each game.
Coulda sold the ranch to someone else, Link ends up working there by coincidence (or not)
Or maybe the owner was a relative like an Uncle or something, but that info just wasn't really given.
I wonder how many Links there are in Hyrule history. Not "Heroes of ___" Links, just people whose parents named their kids after the hero named Link thinking "Oh boy! Now my kid will grow up and save the world!" There have to be more than a few.
Well they could honestly be named anything, since you can name them whatever you want at the beginning of each game. I bet many weren't actually named Link in canon, it's more like a title or a nickname.
I'm dangerously close to actually having an emotional response to the standing of MalonXLink. But there's not enough continuity to say that.
Every Link has humble beginnings. Literally anyone in the world can decide to go to some unsettled property and start ranching. The setting is wrong for it to be the legacy of Lon Lon. Even assuming tree overgrowth; where the fuck did the river come from? Where did the walls and houses go? Why aren't any of the livestock the same? If Link is the 5th generation first son of the owners; why isn't Link the heir?
Totally fine anon. I'm gonna need to start categorizing and writing this shit down because I'd want this game to awesome and satisfying as fuck, which means a whole shit ton more discussing in the future.
Will it have the Great Fairies at all, and maybe their powers being given as well?
What about mechanics of climbing/grabbing enemies like in DDogma?
What fun events would their be for using the big iron boots?
>people who behead unarmed prisoners and believers of different faiths are knightly
whatever girl who believes ISIS are knights deserve the beatings they get when the marry their "knight"
Don't forget the timeline where the hero fails
>Oppressed by Ingo who tortures her precious horses
>Epona is groomed as a gift for Ganondorf
>When she's presented, he takes a liking to Malon as well and forcibly takes her as his concubine
>No knight in shining armor ever.
I dunno, I'd like to see more original ideas for items or very reimagined usages. Bow boomerang hookshot gets repetitive when they just do the same things over and over.
also here come the more fanservicey pics
>He never watched barnyard
I'd like to see the Sheikah first. I mean we have technically not yet seen the Sheikah as a race. Impa was retconned into one, and Sheik was lying for college admission. And Impaz is just a hermit that is totally Impa.
We don't know what games they play. We don't know where they nest. We don't know what their preferred beverages are.
Just a theory, but what if TP Link originates at the Lon Lon Ranch at the time, then moves out (due to age or his parents dying) and he works for another person's ranch because he has the skills already and needs the cash? He's just starting a new life in a new place. All the Links are people with courage who choose to go outside the norm and go outside the comfort zone around them. Just like Oot Link wanting to go out of the forest and adventure and explore, rather than staying in his treehouse and living with the Kokiri's the rest of his life.
>Ganondorf wishes for Hyrule to rise again so he can rule it
>King of Hyrule stops him before he can do it
>instead of wishing for Hyrule's rebirth and Ganondorf to fuck off, he wishes for its destruction
>message for all intents and purposes is to let go of the past and make your own future
>instead of doing just that and making their own unique kingdom separate from all the Hyrule shit, the WW sequels revolve around them founding New Hyrule which is exactly like the old one, complete with the same bullshit monarchy
GEE, DESTROYING OLD HYRULE SURE DID PAY OFF IN THE LONG RUN
That's going to be a little bit tough since a bow and arrow is, well, a bow and arrow for shooting, and a boomerang is for throwing and smacking something upside the head.
I can't think of much myself unless you want to start getting into things like rope arrows for climbing and zip lining to places, or upgrading that boomerang to cause some sort of large twister when powered up.
except the Grappling Hook and Gale Boomerang already happened. I did like those, though. maybe I'm hypocritical.
