What is the best console design of all time and why it is the Gamecube?
it's very iconic. I think the Ouya was Yves' attempt at redesigning the gamecube.
The controller is optimized too. I wonder if there's anything that could add to it to make it better? Maybe
voluntarymotion controls similar to the Wii U? I wouldn't mind gently steering that controller with Star fox assault
>Even has a damn handle on it
>Awesome library of games
>4 players right out of the box, no multitap needed
>Not quite as powerful as an Xbox, but better than the PS2.
The only big issue with it is not being able to handle DVDs. And even then, the smaller discs allowed for fasted loading times, so it's not even that much of an issue.
It's simple. Why bother making it more complicated than it needs to be?
I would have liked equal sized/shaped face buttons, virtual console games that don't use only A and B are a bitch to play and Megaman Anniversary Collection would be playable with that
>20 fucking 14
get a load of this fag
I never had a neogeo but the design is pretty sleek too.
In terms of style? I love the way the Genesis looks. Doesn't hurt that the Genesis has a pretty stellar library of action titles/shmups. Definitely not the BEST console overall, but the Genesis easily fits in the top 5 for me.
Top Tier Designs:
GameCube, PSX, PSOne, PC-Engine, Genesis, Dreamcast, Famicom, Intellivision
Super NES, NES, TurboGrafx 16, 360, PS3 Slim, Wii Mini, Saturn, N64, Master System
Virtual Boy, Xbox, Xbox 1, PS4, Wii U, 3DO, PS2, PS2 Slim, PS3
>PSOne, sleek as fuck
>PS2, a bunch of black magazines stacked together.
I wouldn't say the WiiU has a shitty design. It's not MASSIVE, it's a pretty simple shape to deal with when making a spot for it on the entertainment system. It's not eye catching like a Genesis or a Gamecube, but it's not repulsive.
There was an Iwata's Ask about. Keeping the Wii U gamepad the focus point, while the actual hardware is kept in the background. The focus shift from the game box to the controller.
This is true. Except I never owned a PlayStation of any sort. It doesn't stop it from being sleek as fuck.
Ok guys now do me. This is my first vidya in the pic. incoming keks.
I always thought the JP/EU SNES was the best looking console.
The US SNES looked awful and cheap meanwhile, though ironically ended up being the most universal system.
