Space ships and space vidya thread.
What are your favorite space ships?
What are you favorite space vidyas?
>What are your favorite space ships?
I love them all, it's hard to choose
>What are you favorite space vidyas?
haven't tried Elite dangerous yet but I imagine that will be fun too
you can buy ships in game? Sheeeet wasn't aware of that, I don't keep up with the development and stuff that much, but I've heard something along the lines of Planetside coming, is there a release date for that?
>you can buy ships in game? Sheeeet wasn't aware of that
Can you even imagine the shitstorm if the only way to get certain ships was to pay 1000$?
>but I've heard something along the lines of Planetside coming, is there a release date for that?
That was next on the plan, but it's not any more. FPS is likely to be next, and that's only being revealed in a month or so.
Don't expect anything soon really.
>you can buy ships in game?
If you pledge for the game now, you get a ship as a reward. Different pledges get different ships.
Once the game launches, buying ships
shouldn'tbe available anymore.
>Can you even imagine the shitstorm if the only way to get certain ships was to pay 1000$?
oh right, that was quite stupid of me, but I imagine it will take some time to get money for ships, I'm hoping that it won't turn into grinding for credits, cause I'm pretty excited to see if they can deliver on their promises. I haven't played a good space exploration game in forever
I have a few questions for ED beta players.
will ED be pay to win like Star Citizen? Are they going to sell better ships, weapons, xp or ingame credits? Or has the ED dev promised to keep dlc and buyable stuff purely cosmetic?
how are singleplayer and multiplayer supposed to work in the final release of ED?
Because they're bullshots designed to sell ships.
i like the television series Firefly created by the God of TV himself: Joss Whedon and would like a vidya based around the idea that you are a non-combat vessel that scavenges and does jobs on planets.
I'm disappointed that planetary landings won't be included on release.
It won't feel like a complete package until they are.
So far, there doesn't seem to be anything pay-2-win about it. The ships can be purchased fairly easily with in-game currency (some just might take a little more grinding than others) and, as far as I know, there is no way to use real world money to buy in-game credits.
>Or has the ED dev promised to keep dlc and buyable stuff purely cosmetic?
DLCs/Expansions are supposed to contain gameplay and not just extension of the universe. Stuff like walking around your ships and boarding. I have no idea how that's supposed to be handled in multiplayer where one person has it and another doesn't.
