How do you choose your Smash main, /v/?
Character/game you like?
N64 - Pikachu and Ness
Melee - Pikachu and Marth
Brawl - Pikachu and DK (sometimes zelda)
Smash 4 - Pikachu got nerfed to shit, so i'll probably main some other fast character with good aerial game.
I go by how manly they look. Unfortunately, I hear Ike isn't that great.
I've never chosen a main before, I mostly just played whoever I could beat up on my cousins/nephews/friends with at the time, which was a few different characters. I always liked Marth though, and I'm going to try out the new fire emblem characters before I make a decision. I think I'm actually going to try and be good at smash 4.
For the most part I pick characters I like based on the Nintendo games I like
I picked up Falcon in melee despite never playing an F-Zero game before cus he looked cool
>taking smash seriously enough to choose "mains"
Its like you think its a fighting game or something and not a goofy party game.
Samus because she makes me rock hard
Little Mac because fuck you I'll punch your shit
wrong, Ike's been buffed according to anyone who actually played Ike in Brawl. Others just took a quick look and assumed he was unchanged. Seriously recovery buffs and speed buffs. He's mid now.
Also, I main Ike because I really like him as a character and Fire Emblem 9/10(mostly 9)
Gonna pick up Mega Man and Mac because I love those two series as well.
I main Kirby with the occasional Pit thrown in.
I chose Kirby as I didn't have the ability to take on my better friends when I first started playing Smash. His survivability, ability to harass and his ability to get out of the line of fire, and survive heavy shots allowed me to weather the storm as games became decided mostly by a handful of good players. Eventually, I just got good at using Kirby.
I still harass a lot, but I can use Kirby well enough to punish people for getting too close.
I've been maining Ike in Project M and Brawl because holy fuck all of his attacks are so goddamn satisfying. Swinging that big sword around is amazing and people's reactions are always priceless.
Whoever's playstyle fits me best.
I love zoners in fighting games, and my Smash mains are:
SSBM - Falco (not a zoner but lasers are a great zoning tool and Link/YL both suck so he is the best option)
SSBB - Snake
SSB4 - Link
SSB P:M - Link
I try to play everything until I find one with a playstyle that works for me and that the character "feels" right (Ike felt fucking powerful in brawl for example).
My main is Zelda and she will still be it in Smash 4, started playing her when I looked over some stats in brawl and noticed how she was the least played character on our save. Picked up, loved her mobility, looks and general moveset. Her fireball is amazing when playing against scrubs and really good to great smash balls too, and her final smash is so easy to hit because of the straightline and it comes out so fast
Honestly I just try all the characters and go with what feels "right".
>64 - C.Falcon/Kirby
>Melee - C.Falcon/Peach
>Brawl - Falco
>Smash 4 - WHO KNOWS but I really like Mega Man in the demo. Mario too.
If I was held down and forced to pick a "true" main without none of that alt bullshit I guess I'd just go with C.Falcon every time except in Brawl.
I'm glad Ike's back with improvements. Remember a year ago when 95% of /v/ was convinced he'd be cut in favor of Chrom? kek
I'm really satisfied with how Fire Emblem is represented in the game, especially when bigger series like DK, Zelda, and Metroid got the shaft
By how fun and how effective they are towards my playstyle.
I'm mostly an aggressive ground fighter who relies on combos, speed and pure KO power.
That and how much I love their characters
I pick characters no one else picks, really.
I mained Wario in Brawl because no one really touched him despite him being pretty high tier, and Im going to main Shulk this time for the same reason. Also because Xenoblade is one of the best games ever and I need to spread the love.
Pit is my main
Second main is kirby cause hes fun to play and cute. I don't care for tiers.
I only really played brawl, those old games don't interest me. My main was meta knight though, and nobody could beat me. All of my friends are jealous of how good I am though and get mad when I beat them.
I honestly don't know.
In Melee, my mains were Dr. Mare-ee-oh and Yoshi.
In Brawl, my mains were Ganondorf, Toon Link, and Diddy Kong.
In Smash 4? Who knows, give it some time. I'll probably end up playing two completely different characters that don't match-up in any way, like Greninja and Ike or something.
I'm sorta happy. Ike being back was all I really wanted(awakening's characters are garbage), and Robin looks cool and reps magic users. Lucina's a fucking waste though, might as well have just brought Roy back if Sakurai wanted a Marth clone that badly. Awakening doesn't need half the series reps, but sakurai clearly likes it more than the rest of the series. No new items or music remixes yet, but I imagine Wii U version will have some songs.
i'll be fucking pissed if FE4 doesn't get any music in, though.
I start by picking characters I'm familiar with and like, then move on to characters whose designs are appealing but I know next to nothing about and finally I try out random characters that I haven't played yet. Ultimately I settle with whoever his the most fun; I have never finished Earthbound and only like a couple of Zelda games, but Ness and Zelda are by far my favorite characters to play.
we don't need both though. Just put in Robin. That's it.
the least shittiest of all the main lists because it gets way too many right. That ZSS description is too real.
Duck Hunt and Palutena look like fun
My main was Zelda in Melee/Brawl since her playstyle just clicked with me. Making my friends think Din's Fire OP just because they can't dodge it was fun as well.
Probably going to play Palutena and Robin a lot in Smash4 as well, they both look really fun to play.
>tfw Toon Link and Diddy main
characters i like and playstyle are kinda equal for me
Now find one done by someone who doesn't Main Wario, find some overlap and combine them
It's always too obvious who people who make these mains, because you get accurate descriptions that rip on people in a fun way and then "GOD TIER PLAYED BY BROS OBVIOUSLY THE COOLEST TEN BLOWJOBS A DAY"
fucking bullshit. At least you can tell whether or not someone actually played the series if they use Marth or Lucina. Weed out those casuals.
Playstyle. For example, I have no real Fire Emblem experience but I mained Ike in Brawl because I loved how he felt to play. And while I enjoyed Punch Out, I wasn't a devoted fan or anything wishing Little Mac was in before the Direct happened. But the Direct and, most importantly, playing him during the Best Buy demo, absolutely fucking sold me.
I agree for the most part but I can't imagine Lucina was as much of a waste of effort as you're making her out to be. The way I see it she's a way to pacify any dumbass who wants to complain about the cast being mostly male. I agree that she's a poor choice for a character from the series but she's easily the most recognizable female Lord at this point.
I wouldn't call FE6 the worst game considering the series' roots
and while Chrom's around I wouldn't call Roy worst Lordbut since making Lucina would obviously have taken far less effort than porting Roy over would've taken, I don't really mind
To be fair the only one of Marth's games that's really worth playing is FE12. Rest are either antiquated or a very barebones remake.
how the fuck can you say FE12 is worth playing but FE11 isn't when the share the biggest problems between them. Self-insert supports doesn't make the game magically better. I like both but can understand if someone hates DSFE.
There needs to be a chart like this made for 4
I have a friend who mains kirby and plays like a total bitch when he wants to win, and gets annoyed when he loses even if we're just chillin and fucking around, so fucking true. Kirbyfags in general are really cancerous if you ask me
>white pantsu instead of blooms/riding pants/tights
I just enjoyed FE12 a whole lot more than I did FE11, though I guess you might be right.
As a side note I really dislike the stupid self-insert thing FE12 and 13 did. I hope they drop that shit in the next game.
Games I like
They all fall under one or more category.
When I was a kid I always chose Link because kid anon had a huge boner for him. He was also pretty damn solid, so that helped. In Melee he just happened to also be pretty great, so I stayed as him. In Brawl he was so shit that I was forced to move to Ike and Meta Knight, until I realized that Toon Link was just as good as Melee Link.
Seeing Link in Smash 4 has given me new hope to main him again.
I also loved Marth in Melee because I liked his style, and she looked really hot. I was disappointed when I played FE11, to say the least.
i had to replay both to realize FE12 has issue like ass tier character balance(literally 80% of the cast is worthless while MU rapes everything) and some lazy ass maps(chapters 11-14 also the reused maps from FE1/11).
I still like both for what they are.
>have an annoying acquaintance of a mutual friend who is quite possibly a furry, mains lucario
>have a Weeb Kirbyfag friend who is a bearded 24 year old but is obsessed with "cute things", plays defensively with Kirby, won't admit Sakurai is biased and gets annoyed by getting comboed
>have a chill ass friend who mains DK, smokes me up all the time, listens to jazz, generally always smiling
her ground speed is much faster than previous games, aerial mobility is the same as brawl
all of her aerials can be shorthop auto cancelled and dair is virtually lagless
kill options are decent, up-b is extremely fast, can't be DI'd out of, a great option out of shield and you can combo into it from throws on medium / heavier characters
zair is the same as it was in brawl (extremely useful), no missile landing cancel but they are useful in neutral and for edgeguarding
charge shot is buffed in speed and power and i have been able to combo into it for kills on heavier characters
How cool they look and how fun they are to play. If I'm playing with a competitive friend, I might choose someone who has more attacking options.
I used to not play as characters whose series I knew nothing about, but when I started to, I learned about their series a bit.
I really don't know my playstyle, but I used Luigi, Lucas, DK, Falco, Ike and ROB mostly.
Definitely play style. Ironically I've kept (basically) the same main throughout the whole series. Mario in all games except for melee where I played doc, and in brawl where I didn't play. I like Mario in smash 4 but I like how doc has the original move set.
>Scoring a Falcon Punch
>Little Mac follows up with a KO Punch
>yfw dat slowmo dual punching
I hardly play zero suit cause I don't like her gameplay mechanics. After seeing the autistic faggot with the scarf at the smash tournament win with her, I further hate the character.
A combination of movestyle and the character. Like, Sonic is one of my favorite franchises, despite it's hiccups, so Sonic will always be my main. Rosalina and Palutena are two great characters from their series', better than the protags in the game, even. So them, too.
>playing with a kirbymain who will taunt with every kill and occasionally comment on how cute kirbys taunts are despite having the game since launch
i cant be the only one who knows this kinda faggot
I tend to either play (in smash) the light and fast with some spacing options and ability to switch from ground to air seemlessly.
brawl: Sheik/Pikachu/Metaknight (sorry, he's just way too good to pass up.)
Sm4sh: Greninja/Villager (Slow, but his very strong spacing options, most of which KO at mid percents make up for his inability to follow through)
>Play Captain Falcon since 64
>Count my victories not by how many stocks I have left, but how many times I can taunt before I win
I pick my mains purely by the series they come from and how much I like them.
My favorite Nintendo series are Zelda, Fire Emblem, and Metroid so I tend to play those characters.
Fuck Lucina though, I'm sticking with Sigurd palette Ike.
Easy. I pick the cute puffball each time, even if she happens to suck in that particular game.
Marth is cool. Lucina can fuck off though.
I'm not mad she exists in the game, I don't think she's a "wasted slot", but I'm not gonna bother playing her.
But regardless, Ike and Sigurd best lords
>hotter version of marth with longer sword and a cool mask, as well as no tip-of-the-sword BS
>finding a reason not to play her
>implying zero wants 3DPD
>implying he won't keep himself pure for his waifu samus
>Lucina hotter than Marth
>shorter, longer hair, very slightly more feminine frame
>no tits on either
A chick is more likely to find Marth hot than a man is likely to find Lucina hot
>dere dere is what gets me hot and bothered
this is why we hate lucinafags
look at what you just fucking wrote
I like speedy characters with decent reach, no mains
I've been playing the demo and I can't wait to really git gud with mega man. Once I can change it so up on the stick doesn't make you jump I think I'll be able to handle him a bit better. I just played this weekend with my friends after they were both saying how bad he is, and I used Megaman and won 5 times in a row, of course, we aren't exactly tourney level but still
>ike paultena ganon shulk zelda
There aren't a lot of fox mains who actually end up staying with fox. He's incredibly difficult to play and only a few notable foxes even make dents in bracket. You see a lot of shieks and marths in upper mid level play because of how easy they are to use. Foxes come and go, usually being switched out for Falco or another top tier. In melee anyway.
megaman is actually ridiculously technical.
Like we are talking Melee fox kinda shit. i swear to fucking god dude you don't even know. Everyone is going to think he is shit until Mango or some nigger finds out all his metalblade jump canceled throw tech.
You dumb sack of shit.
you don't even know. Any character that can generate items in this game and has a move list that compliments A la diddy kong is a fucking good character.
Metalblade is fucking scary too man. All you dumb fucks just keep sleeping on megaman, i will find you online and I will bop you hard.
I never use the random button, but I tend to pick a different character every match.
Inevitibly this means that there are just some characters I never pick because I never really think to pick them.
Mario, for example. He's like all the way in the upper left corner, and he's kind of uninteresting, so you just never think about the fact that you haven't picked him in a while. It's like Reimu in Soku.
You're an idiot. Bananas were good because they forced tripping. Metal blade isn't even a good projectile by standard terms. By that logic link was amazing in every smash game. Don't be stupid.
Playstyle. I try out every character, and some just suit me better than others. Then I narrow it down, and eventually I always find one or two that are the most fun to me.
But it's a big plus if I also like the game and/or character.
i've only played the demo so far, so only the 5 characters in that
>super hype for megaman, was sure i'm gonna main him
>eww, didn't like him at all
>oh my shit it's like playing sex
and that's how i decided i'm maining villager
>How do you choose your Smash main, /v/?
By my favourite franchise which is metroid
Og samus 4 lyfe
Awakening's issues were boring characters and really fucking shitty maps, as well as removing some mechanics that shouldn't have been removed and adding its own broken mechanic or two. Story was kinda dumb and not even close to engaging.
On the other hand most FEs have very few worthwhile characters and a boring story, so as long as they work in the mechanics they shouldn't have removed in future entries and balance pair up (if they must have it), I won't mind.
Links bombs serve for different utilities.
Megaman's entire game is too punish rolls and keep enemies at bay with lemons.
With metalblade PICKED UP megaman can use his momentum to throw it downwards and slide toward the enemy using Melee fox speed.
This has such little lag and is so good you dont even fucking know. Sakurai had to make it so metalblade disappears randomly to give the rest of the cast a chance but this leaves every character up to a short hopped lemon combo, grab or a smash attack. If metalblade is still present you have so many combos at your disposable.
The only reason why megamans normals are so bad is because he Advanced Tech is so outrageously good.
I chose the one with the catchiest theme.
here are her customs, they seem to be pretty good, especially the delay missile. The guy has done a lot of characters
i know what you're talking about, but having unique tech doesn't make a character good, it effects the early meta but gimmicks don't last long. I know you want to believe that having some "cool new tech" is going to make you good, but it won't, everything has an answer, and that doesn't even look too good in the first place.
>I've never played a Punch-Out! game before but I'm maximum hype to play little mac.
If you main a character but have never played their game, then don't main them, faggot.
>b-but why!? waaaaah!
Because It's stupid. Faggot,
I just spam lasers and its no fun. Most of their recoveries are super predictable
Started with Smash 64, tried Pikachu, Link, Fox and Samus. I believe I had Samus as my main but one day a friend came over and started saying how he tried Yoshi and thought he was the best character. Being a little guy I then had to try Yoshi myself and it wasn't long before I too came to the conclusion that Yoshi was the strongest character. I mastered the art of the Yoshi and I've been maining him ever since. Smash 4 is going to be Yoshi's time to shine, I can feel it.
I main Bowser in Project M. I tend to try and control the stage with my massive hitboxes and size, and pressure my opponents off stage for early kills.
It's hard to keep Bowser off of you in the neutral game when he's so huge and has all that armor. Sure he's slow, but his attacks deal a lot of shield damage on top, too.
I also seconday Doc, since he's my Melee main as well. He's a hell of a lot more viable in P:M though.
Usually by how much I like the character itself, but playstyle also factors into it
more technical characters are always fun, so villager, robin and shulk seem good
little mac just fits my style a lot, ground rushdown
>Character/game you like?
all of them
I like Diddy, fits my playstile and he's good.
melee: bowser, falcon and mewtwo lel it was so shit
brawl: diddy and snake
smash for: dhd, dedede and diddy probably, bowser looks cool too.
is diddy any good in 4?
Based off my favorite game series and how they feel, thats why I'm planning on maining Captain Falcon or Little Mac.
considering how much pikachu you have played, I feel like it might be better for the rest of us if you keep thinking he's nerfed
his only downside currently is maybe lacking in super good kill moves on the ground
yunno, as usual.
I don't normally main, I played a lot of pikachu in every game.
I love aerials, they're the only way i can really win
I played jiggly for a long time in brawl before I realized she was shit when I saw the tier list.
I like some people whose game I've never played (falcon) but I also like marth just because I'm a FE fan.
But holy fuck I love mario in sm4sh, probably maining him or the doc.
>only one other random main in the entire thread
I've never really liked Zero suit Samus, I think it ruined her character. But then she had American Kirby eyes in new Smash, so she looks a bit tougher. I liked that. And then I watched the video where Conan plays new Smash and in one match ZSSamus loses and she looks so fucking pissed off when she applauds. Love it.
So I'm probably gonna main ZSSamus since it's the first time she's been somewhat cool
I just tried a few until I found one that I thought had a fun and unique play style.
>tfw ice climbers are gone
I never played a Smash game ever and I just have been playing the demo for 2 hours.
I am so bad at this game. I only seem to be decent with Link. It seems I'd be only decent with characters that have melee with A and ranged with B.
When they're newcomers my interest is mostly because of who they, whether I like them or not, and their perceived play style. After release it's all about how they play and whether or not I can work with their moveset.
Little Mac is a good example of a character I love and am really interested in but whose moveset I don't think will fit into my play style. We'll see though.
I just tried the demo today. European, so I had to wait a while. I'm disappointed. They said there would be hitstun and combos. But, the hitstun is abysmal. Why? What is the point of this? It doesn't make the game more fun to keep players from performing follow-ups. Everything feels way too safe once your hit. You can get out of everything without any effort whatsoever. It is ridiculous.
Aerials feel like garbage. Mario is the only character out of those available that feels viable in the air. I wish Pikachu got buffed too though, because Pikachu has nice things going for him this time around. The down special is way faster, which is good. Makes it actually usable in more than one situation. Pika's Nair is a good move and actually priorities his fair. Not sure what else it can break through though. Link is garbage. Pure garbage. His nair is no longer viable for approaching and the rest of his aerials suffer from landing lag. It also seems like his uair is active for a much shorter time, which is annoying since it makes it useless as a semi-vertical coverage attack.
I hope the rest of the characters play better. But, my god, the hitstun pretty much killed the hype for me.
I main random. It's the only way to really play. It lets you get gud with everyone and the people youre playing with can't cry about you picking your main when you dominate them. Smash is an easy enough game in which you can viably play random and consistently win no matter who your given.
Just two weeks ago, me and my friends had a Saturday night Smash and I fucking won with my niggas Pit, Olimar, Pokemon Trainer, and Bowser. Fun as fuck.
All random characters, all random items, all random stages, and you have to trade controllers after each game. I've gotten to the point where I'm fucking beast with the Wii Remote. Doesn't even phase me not having a gamecube controller.
my mains off of what franchise i like and my favourite character that's there.
Example like I main bowser because Mario Wokd is my favourite game and I choose him for any mario spin-off game.
I chose Samus because she was/is the only rep for Metroid, my favourite series.
And Lucario because I like Pokemon and he's the only rep in the game that I actally use in pokemon.
This is why I'm also planning to main Bowser jr. and Duck Hunt. The only series I play that I don't use in smash is Olimar for Pikmin, but I do use him for fun, I could just never get the hang of him
If they're hot, cute or pink, I'll play em'
Just if I like their respective games. Nothing else should matter.
Wind Waker HD
i pick on how random they are because my play style is fast and unpredictable and then i refer to the tier listing if i can't decide who to choose. my main is wario because he is very unpredictable and he has amazing air game with up to 5 jumps if you include the warf
I told everyone the 3DS smash looks like absolute dogshit and the controls would be shit, but all the fatass manchildren nintendos went out of their way to illogically defend it.
Playstyles. I play my favorites aswell but my main is always the character I have the most fun with playing, and that has been fox for 64, melee and brawl. Not sure how it will end up in Smash 4 but I'm really liking Duckhunt so far.
...the Demo plays fine m8s. I really don't know what you guys are talking about
>Ike was really good in brawl
ike was shit tier in brawl and because he hasn't got any major buffs this game like everyone else he probably will be even worse, he is slow and predictable and he doesn't do nearly enough damage for the amount of risk it takes while trying to land a good smash
For me it's how the character is represented in Smash. And of course playstyle is a big part of it too. I main Captain Falcon and the last time I played F-Zero was on the SNES. He's just a badass in general so that's why I play him. Ness I main out of love for Earthbound.
I "main" the character I'm best with. That said, I rarely ever play my mains and just stick to the ones I find the most fun and/or feel the most natural, which to this day have always been Ness and Mario.
Is ZSS your main? because you are problably a teen. Anyway i choose a character from games i like first, if that character sucks mayor ass (like brawl Samus), i drop it in favor of another one with a more appealing playstyle.
Good for me Samus looks at least decent in Smash 4 so i'll be picking her up again.
i wish there was a way to edit how much it takes to tilt to do tilt and vice versa for jumps. I actually like tap jump but the circle pad is way too sensitive for jumps, there should be some way to edit it
Imagine two lines on a graph, one is "amount I like the character" and the other is "how much I enjoy playing as them". Wherever the lines intersect, that's my main.
Also have a rule that I need to have completed at least one game that they're in.
I main characters that have interesting, unique playstyles. For this reason alone I love Ness. easily the most unique character in the entire game. enjoy your generic punch/kick/gun/sword characters fags.
I mained Peach in melee basically for faps, but she ended up as my best character, i also main Link and Samus because i like to bait with proyectiles
wario is more unique, he has 5 jumps in total if you include his up b and down b.
he has a motor bike which in brawl could be broken into projectiles.
>only character to have a personal vehicle he could use in battle
he has his warf which is the origin point of what is little macs charged up KO punch.
wario has a weird walking animation which makes him a little harder to predict on entries, and he has his bite which can catch most moves and lay in damage.
if you want unique you can't go past the snowflake which is wario
Playstyle for sure. My mains have actually not been from games I even play more often than not. Looking forward to trying everyone out in Sm4sh, it's really up in the air who I gravitate towards.
no. I'd rather he have a mix of warioware/wario world or land moves, not just warioware. He doesn't even have any fucking wario land/world custom moves. What the fuck sakurai?
fuck off, wario's moveset is a travesty as it is right now. I dont even hate warioware, they tend to be really fun games. But they make up less than half of all of wario's games and it's bullshit that they make up most his moveset
who gives a fuck about his games that make his moves ffs. the point is how good of a character he is. its like you base your opinion only on your opinion and none on the facts that says wario is top tier material
Definitely seeing more variety in character playstyles with the new game. Robin and Shulk both have movesets which change depending on what "mode" they're in. Little Mac joins Marth by having moves which can be varied mid-input for different effects. Megaman has a huge number of ranged attacks. Villager has a down-b with 3 distinct parts.
Gatta have a mix between fun and good.
Secondaries are for fun characters that are shit and/or are good matchups vs. good characters.
In 64 I played Pikachu and kirby because I was familiar with the characters and I liked them.
In melee I played falco because he was fun and it felt good playing him.
In brawl I played lucas because I liked his hair. I never even played mother games at that point.
In smash 4 I'm going to play as many characters as possible but I like megaman the most because it's fucking megaman in smash, which is a dream come true.
>there's people that used the stick to jump in 64/melee/brawl
Mostly playstyle, but also stupid shit like how they look and sound. Basically, how the character 'feels', I guess?
I never even heard of Fire Emblem in my life, but I fell in love with Roy as soon as I played him. That EEEYAH!
Even though he's shit ;___;
How badass they look
How badass they look and/or how much I want to penetrate that ass.
This applies to all fighting games for me.
He's a lot of fun to learn once you get good and understand his shit. Characters like Sheik, Rosalina and Bowser are all easy as hell to learn and are boring because of it.
Unfortunately Mega will still end up being bottom tier.
Dr Mario was my main in melee, and now he's back to wreck your shit. I pick Dr.Mario cause of his moveset. Thank god for the dr tornado, and the drill kick, best moves Mario's ever had in any smash. That forward air is so sexy.
Both character/game i like and playstyle
I was never too fond of Mario as a character but loved Bowser: He became my principal main after his inclusion in melee. Before that used to play a lot as Kirby but for some reason i barely touch him anymore
There's like a site or program to edit images like this. What's that shit called?
You can probably guess what kind of characters I like to play from my (top row) mains.
I love playing as Meta Knight in the Kirby games, plus his design's just neat. I'm glad he's not OP anymore in 4 so I can be free to main him without being labeled some tryhard faggot.
Link is my main. I picked him in 64 and beyond because Zelda was my favorite series.
My two alternatives were/are Captain Falcon and Roy, because I liked their moves.
I'll be trying Robin out first to fill the Roy void, then perhaps switching to Lucina or Marth if I don't really like him.
If you understand the concept of puppet characters, you can tear through people because she's a powerhouse that can use smash attacks from across the stage and even off-stage.
Out of the forecasted "top characters, she at least seems like she has the highest skill-ceiling because of all the different self-wombo combo setups. She also seems like she has more of a dynamic playstyle, like Shulk does, considering Luma has 2 forms of fighting.
How is Sonic? Is he better now? I always kind of wanted to main him in Brawl but it was never worth it, I do in PM though.
He's an all-around power-house.
Bowser was powerful, but slow. Smash 4 made him both fast and powerful. It's the same thing with Sonic, he's just as fast and has a lot of power and knockback on his good moves.
He also has some advanced tech that allows him to jump around while charging a spindash,
It depends if i like the character or not, but there are some characters I like but i don't like their play style or how they function in smash.
Diddy Kong being the best example for me.
I hate Diddy in smash but in DKC I usually use him.
However I favorites usually end up being broken/OP as fuck, even if I choose them as a main before the game comes out so i get called a tier whore often.
by character, but the playstyle works conveniently
