Why is monster hunter so god damned satisfying to play?
Because there are no levels and armor, weapons and the skills you slot in only help you marginally.
It's a series where you will fail if you don't learn and adapt, developing your own skillset, and you will prevail if you use your brain and learn what is required from you.
This is also why there's people that don't get MH gameplay and will NEVER get into it.
It's like going to a job interview.
You're either in, or out, the guy that got hired can explain to you how he managed to do it more or less, his mannerism, his attitude, tips and tricks, but ultimately you're either cut for the job, or you aren't, there are no real shortcuts.
Nah. I've died multiple times because there was a dick skeleton hidden up in a tower and you couldn't immidiately see him.
Plus that barrel part, plus lamost literally every boss in DaSII, and a lot of normal moments are just fucking cheap.
>have a friend who is a huge MH fan
>i only own Nintendo systems
>he only owns playstations
Cant co op, because he refuses to buy Nintendo even if he cant shut up about wanting to play Tri
>Why is monster hunter so god damned satisfying to play?
But it's not really. The combat in Gods Eater is pretty much better in every way.
Shit, even Soul Sacrifice is better.
What makes it even worse is Capcom is willingly gimping itself by putting the games on Nintendo hardware.
Can you imagine what a good MH game would look like on Vita or even PS4?
sorry, no. Too many cheap shots. I don't find running something twice because it wants to give the illusion of difficulty.
Also DS is just monster hunter but slower, and less intricate combat system.
>tfw probably never see MH on PS4 or something
I hate how the series is so handheld focused these days. At least I'll probably end up owning a Wii U in the future so I'll get the latest handheld port or some shit.
>"Hey come on down and buy this hamburger"
>2 years later
>"Hey come on down and buy this new hamburger"
>"But it looks the exact same"
>"It technically is, but we added a slice of bacon!"
>"Oh, well I guess that piece of bacon is worth of paying the price of a whole new burger!"
Because it's difficult to the point of being badly designed and broken, but once you play long enough and get used to that fist up your ass you gain this smug sense of superiority for having suffered through something that most normal people wouldn't bother.
Who did so many of the endgame shit arbitrarily add a Skymerald
Those are terrible.
It's more like "Hey, I have this product. You can enjoy it for really cheap. OR you can pay more for this brand new one that offers most of what the original has, but MORE!"
The price of the burger isn't the point, it's the face that they feel entitled to be able to sell a "new" game at full price when technically it's the exact same, but just with a little bit of added content, something that could've been done in DLC or something.
At least when Capcom resold Dragon's Dogma as Dark Arisen they lowered the price 20 dollars.
>There are faggots here who have never beat Final Invitation with a hammer.
>There are faggots here who don't know what Final Invitation is
>There are faggots here who never learned to use a Hammer or are Hammer casuals.
That doesn't sound right.
I've seen MH threads, most don't give a fuck. Pretty much the only salty people are the "It's suppose to be on SONY system whiners."
But this isn't a console warring thread so get out or talk about MH
My bad then.
>when technically it's the exact same,
Except it's not.
The original MH didn't have Hunting horns or Swimming, or ledge climbing or monster subspecies, or so many different armor and weapons and skills.
>calling anyone a casual
It is technically the same, all they added was what was essentially DLC.
Reselling a game with DLC is fucking stupid, it might as well called itself Monster Hunter: Game of the Year Edition.
Any hammer user can pretty safely call a SnS, DS, Lance, Gunlance, or Longsword user a casual.
>Calling anyone a casual
SHIIIIIET a monster hunter thread? I just got back into MH3U on my 3ds, it's still great. I'm almost on my first 10-star mission.
Everybody post your favorite monster, either in terms of design or the fight itself.
I pick the Barioth, love those fast fights
I use hammers, GS, DS, HH, and axes. Come at me.
>Hammer user calling Lance users casual
I felt the same way. The key is to figure out how weapons ar similar and use them like that until you steadily branch out and develop skill with them individually.
It's a pretty easy switch between GS and Switch axe if you use the sword bit of the switch axe a lot.
It's also pretty easy to switch between Hammer and Hunting horn.
Have you tried the Hunting Horn? I main Swaxe, and decided to try it out and I transferred between the two pretty easily.
When I want to try out a new weapon, I use it against G.Jaggi and Peco until I feel like I know the moveset well, then take it against Lagi/Ludroth to learn how it fights underwater, then start taking it against tougher monsters like Rathalos and Jay Leno. It eases you into the weapon, but still helps you learn it pretty well.
Have this coming (read:lost) in the mail
Lance is easily the most casual. Go back behind your giant shield and let real weapons do the fighting.
>SnK reaction image
I guess terrible taste in shows comes with terrible taste in weapons.
>MH4U will have guild quests beyond level 100 to accommodate for g-rank
>Deviljho (and several other monsters) will be available where they weren't in 4
>My dream quest of Savage Deviljho/Golden Rajang with both of them having beyond Clashing Fists damage will be a reality
It'd be easier to list the ones I don't like. Which is pretty much only the P3rd pelagus. They can all go fuck off and stay go.
30 minutes? Unless you mean in-universe, probably 12 hours or so.
>Lance not casual
Can block almost every attack without guard skills. Decent pokes, range & damage. Go to weapon for scrubs stuck on a monster, before online features.
Portable 3rd for ease and 3 Ultimate for most recent.
If you're feeling masochistic, you can play Freedom Unite too.
To be honest, MH is kinda shitty. I stopped playing at rank 3 when all the monsters just became reskins with buffed health.
Seriously, this series has no fucking innovation at all between each iteration. It's even worse than Mario. Fucking Capcom
I got that recently. You won't regret it.
infected guild quest black diablos
My anus will never be prepared
>mfw I cut my first tail on my own in 600+ hours of playing today
>mfw I main a bow
Time to see if I can do it in G rank.
So long as you don't get the first in its gen it hardly matters. Tri for instance.
MHFU is pretty damn hard throughout, more rigid making you learn proper timing of everything. P3rd is the easiest of the bunch and has armor skills so good early it breaks shit. 3U is underwhelming at first but balances out.
>tfw Brachydios G Rank armor is shit
>tfw some G Rank armors look far worse than their High Rank versions
>tfw some G Rank armors look far worse than their High Rank versions
This makes me so mad. Especially with being a gunner, which had the cooler armours in low/high rank but almost all their G rank armours look like shit.
And some armours don't even have differences. If Baggi X was the same as Jaggi X recolored I'd have made it in a heartbeat.
>can't lock on and grinding for months so extreme
I honestly don't see the appeal.
You can use low rank Roto/Volvi/whatever armor the entire game because heat cancel and evade+2. It's easy but was passable before we got a 3rd game in the US without missing content.
They are untill you're balls deep into G rank basically. Like the 8* shit, and even then Bowguns are still pretty good. Fights either go incredibly quickly or are slightly longer on average.
I wouldn't really reccommend bows for soloing though. HBG is probably the best of the three.
>inb4 kelbi bow
It's pretty unimpressive solo. The only thing I ever use it for is Alatreon and that's an awaken/CH+2/bombardier/focus set.
Uragaan is rad as fuck. Steel's armour is some of the coolest looking.
>Using Lances for Guarding.
They're good, just don't expect the best kill times with them. They can apply status, so you can do fun shit like Sleep Bombing, para, poison & shit. Just get repetitive after awhile though. The effect is magnified since they don't do alot of damage, so you may occasionally think "Fuck this shit, I could've killed this nigga quicker with X weapon". Great support weapon as well.
>Then there's Kelbi Bow
Monster Hunter appeals to a very specific set of wants and you won't really realize that you're engaged in it until you've put about 20 hours into it.
The better you get at it, the better your experience is, but it sure as hell ain't for everyone.
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is on sale on PSN for 4,99€
Should i get it for my Vita?
Is FU a good starting point for the Monster Hunter series? I neber played a MH game before.
Considering I've only pretty much used two weapons because I'm a fuck who only mains one weapon and one weapon only per game [Duals in P3rd and Bow in 3U], I can't really tell you.
Just go with what you're most comfortable using.
His chin becomes his weakest spot when its broken, and he's weakest to water. Poison also does some pretty good damage to him as well.
Anon please don't be retarded. At least inform yourself. Good lancer users don't block, they side step attacks. You stab, and dodge, block is an emergency back up, like Greatsword block. You don't rely on it ever, but it's there in case of an emergency, and I'm a GS user since MHF2
Nah, Water monsters are shit 75% of the time.
Plesioth is pretty much the only one that isn't ridiculously hard underwater and was actually pretty fun. Ironic considering he's been in the game before water combat was a thing and his land AI is bullshit.
A lot of people don't like the underwater fights. I got used to them.
The swimming sections are pretty rough. You'll get used to them but only a small portion of players actually like them, don't worry.
>About to unleash Lv3 Charge on Monster's Weak spot
>Get my asshole reamed by Lance user charging.
>The third time I've told them to not charge
>Another GS user in team who never uses the charge, just uses them ....to block.
God damn it. Why? Thankfully not all my friends are terrible at MH but god damn it these guys.
They're really cool but I hate them.
>fight diablos with a friend in G rank
>friend sonic bombs, diablos is stunned on the ground
>friend pummels away, I get into position
>diablos leaps up straight into the air as his recovery
>throw a flash bomb
>diablos falls to the ground
>rinse and repeat
It's a really satisfying thing to do.
Should I get MH3U for 3ds now, MH3U for WiiU later when I eventually get one, or wait for the next game?
Yeah sure faggot. You do sidestep to cancel attacks early & option select to dodge or keep attacking. The people who evade lance are the faggots running Evade + 2 & that's even more casual as fuck.
Love MH but not Souls, they aren't really comparable either beyond both being difficult. MH is difficult but fair, there is a way of going about everything that can be solved and none of it is made to be particularly cryptic, everything is reliant on your skill as a player. DS is difficult but in a dickish, cheap way and is purposely obtuse to frustrate the player, very different philosophies at play.
I found Diablos much more fun to fight in 3U than FU. I actually kinda looked forward to his/her quests.
tfw had financial troubles
>had over 200 hours in mh3 3ds
>almost all armors
>had to sell 3ds and games
>got 3ds back eventually
>cant afford the game now
Depends on how later.
3UDS would be good but only if you can find people locally to play it. 4U comes out early next year and has online capabilities on 3DS [which only 3U on wiiu does]
>not appreciating the utility of a free camera.
The appeal of MH is fighting the monsters, they are the appeal. If you cannot derive joy from fighting them, this series is not for you.
She's so unfunny it wraps around into being endearing.
There are a lot of other hunting games, but none of them really are complete clones of MH, all the other ones I've played have been more on the action game side.
I liked God Eater Burst though.
You just have to go "awww" at her attempts at humor. Kind of like tiny sibling telling their first joke.
Actually God Eater Burst is also on sale for 4,99€.
Should get Y/N?
If you've never played a hunting game before, I'd say go with GE over Monhun. It's easier to handle and the fights are pretty fun. Story is generic at best and fanfiction-tier at worst though.
If you enjoyed the hunting giant monsters and making equipment out of them aspect of it but want something more grounded and less anime, then consider MonHun.
>break his horns, crack his tail in the first 5 minutes
>make him limp off in the first 10 minutes
>continuously wreck his shit non-stop
>he ends up limping off to different areas something like 10 times
>break his back humps and wrek him in his soft supple back holes a few good times too
>still run out of time without killing him
How much health does this faggot have?
I think i gotta grind and upgrade my weapons before fighting him again.
Lightning Blaze. It's the gunlance you get from the event Ivory.
Use Poison when fighting boros.
Once you can proc poison on him you've basically won the hunt.
DaS2 was the easiest by far.
Really, only Dark Souls 1 had truly cheap moments and they were few and far inbetween. Plus they could all be avoided by paying attention, save for the first encounter with Seath.
The only time I've ever had FPS problems is that massive lag when Jho spawns and when playing local multi with random people in a crowded room. Fucking teleporting Alatreons, it's funny but infuriating at the same time.
I play it on my WiiU's gamepad in my bed before going to sleep every night.
It literally feels like i'm playing a high quality handheld.
I actually prefer to play it on the gamepad even when i have a tv available because it's more comfy
are the 3ds controls good? seems like they could be shit. would I need to buy one of those extra circle pad things?
They're not stellar, but they're not terrible either.
One of them is pay2win shit with overdesigned monsters on the archaic Dos engine and the other one is Tencent. You're really not missing much.
Except the music. Holy fuck Frontier's OST has no right being that good.
Honestly the controls aren't that bad without the circle pad pro. I've played monster hunter on 3ds for a few months without one until I decided why not and bought it, which is also not that bad.
So if you have the money to spend then sure go for it.
>15 burgerland funbux a month
>Additional monthly fees for premium courses, which gives

>>Absurdly powerful NPC hunters called Rastas that can pretty much hunt for you
>Buy armors with absurd skill spreads
>Buy weapons with absurd raw, slots, and multi-element through the roof
>Buy 72 hours of dealing double damage
>Buy 72 hours of taking half damage
>Grind for your weapon
>Grind for your armor
>Grind for your armor upgrades
>Grind for Style Rank
>Grind for G-rank
>If you don't have 10 active positive skills you're doing it wrong
>Monsters leaking one- and two-shot-kill moves out of every oriface
>At least one of those moves is a gigantic AoE attack
>Highly divergent monster designs favoring flashiness, including shoehorning flashiness into existing monsters
Don't get me started on those fuckass tonfas
>There are weebs who actually want tonfas in mainline
Don't get me wrong, I would probably play Frontier in the alternat euniverse where it's brought to the west, but that shit needs to stay the fuck in its own series.
There was the shit with Hypoc and Volganos in FU, but they weren't THAT bad. Volganos was pretty cool actually. I understand Frontier players throwing a shitfit about it though.
Monster Hunter has emasculated me.
I look at all the monsters and I find them adorable and all of a sudden I have gigabytes of Japanese chibi art of monsters and tons of plushies what the fuck
A faster, element/status based impact weapon would be the tits, but I'd like more Gunner variety first
>don't know how pay2win it is though
You answered your own fucking question. Tencent is the WORST company to have picked this up. Wanna go on more than 5 hunts a day? Dig into that shekelbook sonny.
And no matter how dolled up the cryengine makes it with fancy lighting and particle effects, the monster and hunter animations are terrible and the sound design is fuckawful.
Buy figure builders. Cheaper and not quite as er... emasculating, I guess? the plushies are great though.
>Not a fan of the quality
I've found that for what they are [cheap statuettes], their quality is incredible. I would normally expect to pay like $15 for something like this.
The creator's models are pretty ballin though. If I wasn't such a poorfag I'd get the Brachy one or the Gore Magala one.
Guys, this just popped up on the internet.
Abby is behind Ceadeus, Silver is behind where Jhen and H.Jhen meet, Gold is behind Pink and Brachy.
I meant individually. I've never seen a whole set for less than $50 at the least, except the latest rage set which only has 6 figures as opposed to the usual 9.
I get them idividually from an import shop for 8 bucks a pop. Doesn't guarantee the one you want unless you autisically grope the boxes like I do but it's something.
It's not for everyone.
Besides, the "grinding" part is a misconception (sort of)
You grind when you want the rare, cool looking shit with a bunch of special skills. Technically, you can do just fine with a generic Jaggi armor set, upgraded to max defense and a mid-tier weapon, neither of which would require particularly rare parts.
Of course that only works if you know what you are doing, but this is not an MMO in which a certain monster is literally impossible to beat unless you are at a certain level or have specific equipment.
I sold my 3ds and just about to buy a WiiU anyone who thought this wasnt coming to WiiU was a fucking retard.
Cant wait to play it in glorious HD and 60fps. Meanwhile 3ds fags keep on destroying their puny circle pads lel.
>plus that barrel part
It's sitting at the top of the stairs. Was Dark Souls the first game you've ever played or something? It's a barrel. At the top of the stairs. Why are you only describing parts from the beginning of the game? You've played 30 minutes of the game haven't you? Holy shit, kill yourself.
>just popped up
This is a good five days old.
Eh I'd rather buy complete sets since importing takes forever, you can never trust how international mailing is handled and the fact that I have to may lots of import taxes where I live.
>MH logo printed on banner with Wii U logo instead of banner with 3DS logo by accident
You're free to believe what you want, but that doesn't mean MH4G is coming to Wii U.
By import shop I mean like an actual store in my town's asian district. But yeah I see where you're coming from.
I'd do the same but there's generally only a few I'd want from each set, and the one set that I'd be willing to buy the entire flat of is also one of the most expensive for some reason.
I wish they made more figures that weren't flagships or cheesecakey girls though. The Abyssal Gunlancer and the 10th anniversary Hunter both look rad as fuck.
>What do you do in Monster Hunter?
Take a guess.
>Can block almost every attack without guard skills
If you tried to do this without guard skills you'd end up in a stagger block and almost drained stamina and have little left to attack with.
Official weapon ranking 101
>Hammer: for the true negro out to smash dragon pussy
>lance: probably lives with their mom
>gunlance: smells a chick's chair when she leave the room
>gunner: 12 years old
>bow: literally never been #1 at anything in their entire life, good support tho
>sns: either just started the game and has no idea or has mastered a weapon type already and has ascended
>ds:seen too much naruto, probably shit at the game or works in a team
>gs: the true bro, wants that raw strength, that power to literally defecate on a ho

>switchaxe: this nigga can't decide
>hh: nigga da fuk
>mfw that's spot on
Change Swax to "gets all the tail" though
The part of the game that literally happns every time you go through there.
It's the most blatant thing like that. Another memory is that asshole fire thrower at the top of the stairs where you have to fight skeletons to get to.
Even if you bumrush to the top you're likely to get hit by some bullshit.
I know that feel bro.
>Sell 3DS with digital MH3U to GAME.

>Fucking GAME deleted my account and not the login information.
>No MH unless I make a new account and buy it again or wait for 4U.
Too bad Rathian is a cheating slut
Not my fault, that for some god forsaken reason, image boards hate hotlinking.
Good thing Rathalos is my favorite of the two.
Hammer and Greatsword are my mains.
>been a greatsword user since the start
>oh so there's this new weapon uhn?Longsword...
>I'll craft one to try it out
>ok let's go try this bitch out on the great jaggi
>man I wish I had an horizontal slash, dude why are my attacks filling up that bar in the corner?

>not being able to solo G rank
What did I do to deserve such plebs for friends.
Currently playing FU and I need a little help
What armor can I get that will stick with me longest through at least high rank?
Additionally why are the starting weapons shit? the only thing I have that does okay damage is a LS and I hate using LS too much
because I used it in 3U a fuckton
>mfw underwater battles
This is why I sub HBG.
>On a low rank armor.
Damn strait I'm thinking of FU.
Different anon here, I did that for village Alatreon but I've found a better Kelbi Bow set that I used to solo the G rank Alatreon, that's Focus, Awaken, Bombardier, and Challenger +2.
>Boros Helm Z [the Blademaster one]
>Lagi Vest X
>Lagi Guards X
>Boros Coat X
>Lagi Leggings X
>Fastcharge +2 talisman with 3 slots
This is better because it doesn't have huge Dragon and Thunder weaknesses and instead is only really weak to Fire which are some of his most telegraphed attacks.
When bowing, especially solo, spamming lv 1 shots willy nilly won't get you anywhere, that's best if you have 3 or 4 people all together doing that to cheese em out.
ALWAYS charge to at least a lv 2 and aim for his head and his tail as those are his weakest spots.
Good things to bring are combines for more Power Coatings [20 Nitroshrooms and 20 empty phials], Farcasters and things to make them [10 Exciteshrooms and 10 Bomb Casings], Tanzia Chips [to instantly heal off red health], and Nulberries.
>tfw killing your first actual hunt and overcoming the wall
>tfw first time hearing the main theme kick in during an urgent mission
>tfw landing your first golf swing
>tfw landing your first GS charge
Once you beat Ivory you get Into the Fire [Deviljho], then once you beat that and ALL of the other village quests you get Mark of a Hero [Ivory, then A. Rath and Brachy in the arena], clearing THAT gets you The Brilliant Darkness [Alatreon].
What are you talking about? These are vicious animals.
>First time fighting Jhen
>Dragonate him in phase 2
>Proof of a Hero kicks in
I still get fucking hyped every time
>tfw when fighting a Qurupeco for the first time
>it calls a Great Jaggi
>you kill both
>or learn that the dung bomb they give you has a good use
That quest was when I fell in love with the game
>doing quest "The Jaggia Menace"
>a.k.a. the first deviljho intruder quest
>decide to fuck around and try and kill him
>break his face but he kills the last jaggia I needed
>many quests later
>need deviljho parts but don't have Into the Fire
>do Jaggia Menace again
>Cap him at least 5 times before realizing that killing/capping him doesn't count as freehunts and doesn't give you extra rewards
I was platinum mad
Yes it is.
Keep being delusional,
I don't like playing Monster Hunter because the death animations on all the creatures make me feel guilty and sad. I don't like killing a little dinosaur guy just to see him roll around in agony for 20 seconds because I'm waiting for his drop to spawn. Shit's kinda fucked up.
> Main SA through all low rank
> favorite axe was the pecospander
> exited for hitting HR for first time
> wanted to upgrade my axe into a new one
> needed Crimson peco parts
> enter to the quest and starts to bitchslap the fucker
> it screams "maybe he'll call ludroth"
> earth starts shaking
> procceds to rape me
fuck you jho.
I try and scar a monster as much as I can before killing it.
This is my turf.
Yeah, and I don't like doing that stuff either. Some of these guys are pretty harmless and just wanna eat their grass and fruit but then you come up and murder an entire family of lil dinosaur guys that weren't even hostile until you aggro'd them.
>Lagombi trips the fuck out while sliding
>G.Wroggi still tries to do poison breath even though it's useless
>Peco panicking when you break its song
Well some of them are causing real harm, so you gotta take care of them before they kill more villagers and what-not.
There are some quest givers that are huge dicks, though. I'm pretty sure there was one dude who couldn't get a girl to love him, so he wanted you to hunt a Rathian and Rathalos because he was jealous of their relationship.
Jhos are so violent they have to hit it and quit it so they don't fucking kill each other before having offspring. Savage jhos are ones that somehow survive they typical hard and fast lifestyle to the point where they're constantly hungry and pissed and leaking pure rage out of their faces
Get the fuck out of here with your fanon crap.
Alternatively, you could be fighting an environment-destroying ultra-carnivorous leviathan, and one of the little horned guys gets it in his head that he's going to charge you and knock you over for no reason.
>breathes dragon element
>weak to dragon element
>not a dragon
I'm not sure. Probably either Narga or Rathalos.
Given the fact that the camera isn't to great to begin with I would have to say implementing a lock on feature wouldn't have been a bad idea.
Having to center the camera constantly is tad annoying.
This is a hard choice.
No it isn't, having a little jhen to hug is perfect
>yfw it's because they hunt dragons for food.
Monster Hunter is probably one of my favorite games of all time, because it looks awesome, feels rewarding, and the grinding is on an entertaining level, and it actually takes skill. But, I've recently switched to PC, and don't want to buy a 3DS or WiiU just to play MH and sold my Wii a while back because I was a fucking idiot.
>tfw no MH on PC
Post art of it so I can be more sad, please.
I can't help but love how they look like giant cucumbers.
I know that feel, anon. Except that for once in my life I had bet on Nintendo and got a WiiU
usedhaving good hopes for more MH titles.
At least I can always sell it to get a 3DS later on. I wonder if that new revision will come out in the west before 4U?
OH SORRY I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THE FACT THAT I'M THE ONLY HALF-DECENT GIGANTIC MONSTER
How would it happen? Jhen is in the desert. You're in the ocean.
>half-decent gigantic monster
What crack are you smoking? Besides the theme and making it out to be an epic mythical leviathan chilling under a village of faggots, Ceadus is one of the gayest monsters in the series.
>tfw farming Deviljho in that quest
Oh god, shit was so frustrating and yet so fun.
>tfw killing Jho 5 minutes or less before the time's up and still having to kill the Jaggias
I had the same reaction the first time I used the Longsword, it's a pretty good feeling man.
who else makes armors just because they look cool?
I mean, I usually end up with shit that's helpful, but I just go with what looks cool when I make shit.
for instance, I'm making the duramboros set now.
How comfy are these games solo?
winter is comingand I need some comfy vidya
Certain rainy maps like swamps/flooded forest/nighttime jungle can be pretty comfy. But since the game is segmented into mostly confined areas, you never stay in one area for too long to admire it.
I have to tell you to stop now anon.
Everything about Ceadus was a nightmare.
>Chase him through 3 areas when he's faster than you.
>Weapons and armor are terrible.
I grinded to fuck for a helios set just so I wouldn't have to fight him ever again.
Same reason why my sister refused to play even the demo.
At least most of the monsters attack you too even if you don't do jack shit to them. You can tell yourself that you're doing it to survive or something
The only thing i feel sorry for killing are Gargwas, tho. Fuckers are so adorable
>not liking the music of the culture you just saved
I am disappoint anon
Get it for the New 3DS when it comes out. Used Wii copies are way too expensive and compared to other 3DS games, I'd guess that the port for the New 3DS would cost around $40.
i must have natural hunter instincts, those moments are deeply satisfying for me
It would be like a pet crocodile, except even coorler.
Alright let me tell you a thing
>Be about HR3 or 4
>Going back and doing the low rank village quests I didn't do before to have them done
>Do one to deliver wyvern eggs
>Get first egg down no problem
>Second egg, angry Rathian shows up
>I'm in HR gear so I decide to kill her for rewards and as one less annoyance
>Cha-cha gets her distracted in a corner of one of the areas
>which is the perfect place for me to arc shot the SHIT out of her
>with a bow that has 370 Thunder and a Focus shot in high rank
>She's in a state of constant flinching for a bout two minuites until she gets KO'd, and then even more
>When she gets back up she immediately tries to limp away
>I shoot her down the second she takes off
>I was in my Rathian gear too
>finish the quest
>think about what I just did and realize
>mfw no John, you are the monsters
I went straight to bed after that.
Have a concert version
I used to feel bad for killing Duramboros until I learned about them
>Evolved a fucking mace for a tail to knock down trees to snack on
>Can vault themselves into the air like an olympic hammer
>When they aren't eating they're sleeping and not giving a fuck that they have an entire ecosystem on their back
>Despite being herbivores they are actually SUPER aggressive motherfuckers and will fight anything and everything
>Most of the ones fought in quests are males as females are off protecting the young and fucking up whatever tries to mess with them
>Rust Duramboros get their color not only from living in a desert environment but also from literally wearing the blood of their enemies
>Rusties have been known to go toe-to-toe with fucking Black Diablos
Why are brute wyverns so based?
I have like 500 hours between souls titles.
picked this up because the combat was souls like. The only problem is the game is no challenge at all after being trained in this type of combat. Never saw my first death until gigginox, haven't died since then. 30 hours in the game, 1 death.
The game's worst enemy is the camera controls.
It's still pretty cool though.
>Despite being herbivores they are actually SUPER aggressive motherfuckers
MH herbivores are the worst cunts for some reason.
I don't know why they changed it from P3rd, maybe it's my shakas interfering, but back in P3rd when you crouched practically every carnivore would come, take a look at you and then just let you go.
But diablos or durams? Fuck that they'd agro you either way, even Jho would ignore you after noticing you
for a while.
