ITT: controversial gaming opinions
Luigi's Mansion was shit
Final Fantasy VIII is the best Final Fantasy game. Precisely because it focused on characters and gameplay over story. Unlike nearly every other Final Fantasy game.
FPS are shit
MMOs are shit
RPGs are shit
FPSRPGSs are the worst fucking thing in existence
I imagine whoever took this picture was quite comfy at the moment.
I fucking loved Luigi's Mansion as a kid. I went back and played it again recently and it was not as good. I was blinded by nostalgia.
The Vita is a better system than the 3DS with better games overall.
Gothic 2 is better than Gothic 1.
World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King was the best expansion and everything after it was just a massive let down.
Hitman 2 is the best in the series.
The game will always have a place in my heart for introducing me to survival horror in a sense. I was too much of a bitch to even look at a House of the Dead arcade cabinet back in the day. But that mansion concept would eventually have me revisiting old RE games and I love that shit to death. Also why is it considered to be a bad game by you guys?
every elder scrolls game is garbage
I don't believe feminists have any real pull on the industry and think gamergate kids are fedora lords more annoying than any SJW I've ever had to deal with.
Sonic Advance 2 is the best game in the series. Precisely because it focused on speed and not shitty platforming that punishes you for going fast.
The Souls series is shit ironically praised by /v/irgins. Just like other ironic things on 4chan
*coughcoughMLPcoughcough*, normalfags/autists took it seriously and now 10 year olds love their epic LE PRAISE THE SUN!1111!!! maymay
Prepare your anus
Super Mario Galaxy was average and not special in any way.
Demon's Souls is better than Dark Souls1 and 2.
Dark Souls 2 > Dark Souls 1
Monster Hunter is a shitty boring series
Platinum games are all flash, and no substance.
Persona 4 > Persona 2 duology
Persona > Mainline
MGS4 is the best in the series.
Generation 4 is the best generation for Pokemon.
Wind Waker is the WORST 3D Legend of Zelda game.
LoZ;ALttP 2 sucked ass.
LoZ games are boring
P4G was mediocre
Bioshock Infinite was boring to me
I-I liked Borderlands 2. I mean I-It's n-not the best game a-and its not b-bad either. It w-was
I could respect all of that until
nigga go ahead, bite the hand that feeds you, and the games that are actual unique and not a visual novel with a dungeon crawl minigame in which you kill god with the power of friendship.
Ape Escape 2 is objectively better than the first game.
Sonic the Hedgehog games have never been good. Even the Genesis platformers and first Sonic Adventure games were garbage.
If you play as Ryu, Ken or Akuma, you are a very boring person.
>only ever head about sjws through /v/
>don't hear about them anywhere other than /v/
>even though I have a tumblr
used exclusively for hentai because 4chan is riddled with saucefags
>never cared about any of it
>always thought it belonged on /pol/ and insta-hid every thread
>never cared about console wars
and my biggest contoversial opinion
>I only play vidya for fun and think tourneyfags are faggots
Not bait, friend. Never liked Nintendo. Got an N64 as a kid from a garage sale and sold it a month later. Never found any of their games fun, ever. And all of their consoles are goddamn terrible.
The PS2 had some great games. Including my favorite game of all time. But was also one of the worst designed consoles ever. And 90% of all console games being made for the PS2 really held its generation back.
I too am guilty. The game is just too damn good. I replayed it recently and was surprised with how much I could'nt put it down like I could do with most games after playing for a while. The pacing is too good, and the gameplay is fun.
Half the reason why everyone loves TLOU is because it's just doing what U2 did first, but with Zombies. I can't bring myself to replay the game like I easily did with U2.
Another unpopular opinion
Whilst TLOU is probably the most overrated game ever I can't believe how underrated the online mode is, it's incredibly fun and pretty much the only reason I still turn on my PS3 from time to time
Monster Hunter Tri is 4/10 - probably less:
It's actually really fun, littered with codbabbies using the same "semi-auto + silencer" loadout but if you get creative
I put all my points into crafting and healing so I can play support and have become a crackshot with the revolver because it's all I have
Wii U is the only current-gen console worth owning for the next couple of months
Persona 3 is a tryhard piece of shit far outclassed by P4
Wind Waker is overrated, Skyward Sword is the best 3D Zelda since MM, and Twilight Princess is the series' weakest link
Elder Scrolls lore is far better than that of the Souls series, considering Souls fans have to pull said lore from their ass.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 is the best 3D Mario.
Sony's current first-party franchises are shit, and their devs should have kept to their prior franchises or something in the same vein (Crash, Spyro, Jak, Ratchet, Sly, etc. etc.)
Silent Hill 2 is the pinnacle of gaming as an art form
M&L: Partners in Time is actually a better game than Super Star Saga (which was still good)
Steam is literally cancer:
At an industry level by rewarding bad video games and developers with money via sales.
At a distribution level with heavy DRM/privacy invasion and all sales final.
At a community level by making steam facebook for gamers,
Valve is just as bad as EA, in terms of buying out developers and extorting their game for huge profit. The only difference is EA kills their developers with abuse, Steam kills their developers with laziness, gluttony, and Hats.
- FF12 is garbage
- PS2 sucked besides shadow of the colossus and MGS
- Ocarina is still the best game ever made
- Twin Snakes is better than the original
- Rome Total War 2 is not that bad anymore
- Dreamcast deserved to die
- WiiU is best console of this gen
>Worst gamecube game
Oh yeah, way worse than this gem right?
The only thing more wrong than your Wii U statement is your Twin Snakes one. How in the fuck is TTS better? Take away the graphical upgrade and it's objectively a worse game, and I'm not just talking about the cutscenes.
Fallout New Vegas was too open-ended after you confront the man in the checker suit. I forget his name, but it's not important.
After that, you're supposed to choose what side you want to align with, but do so without really any information of what for and why. So the goal of the game moves from getting revenge to... take over the town, without any good transition of goal. I have to choose what faction I want, among four, without any knowledge of them.
It turned me off completely from the game, other games like it understood the main plot having a flowing focus.
You want to find your father, then save your father, then avenge your father and/or stop an invasion of an old threat in FO3.
You want to deliver a message, then you want to learn, then you learn of a greater purpose to the situation in Skyrim.
In New Vegas, the leap is just 'the choice is yours... oh didn't you know that was coming up? That this is what was the next arc? Well tough, time to choose.' I get why they wanted to do it, but the sheer lack of understanding the implications, combined with a sense that all of this was built for pre-established Fallout fans, made me feel unwelcome and uninterested. I haven't played the game since, and I don't understand why it's rated so high. In fact, if I were to be honest, I hated it, and much preferred FO3.
This entire thread makes me think of the last panel of this, you're all Dobson tier
The MGS2 moveset irrepairably breaks the level design, the soundtrack is worse, framerate drops, the fucking retarded controls (A+Start for the codec, when Start alone does nothing?), voice acting was worse in some areas, etc.
I don't know how you can't make an informed decision about what course of action to take. They don't even make you choose right away, and the entire game throws information at you well before you even get to the strip, about what each faction is like.
I haven't played the games in a long time, so I probably just have nostalgia goggles.
I used to play with my stepbrothers all the time to, so that probably influences how I feel about it more than anything else
All I know is NCR are the local government, Ceasar's Legion is a crazy bunch of murderers, Mr. House has been fucking with me, and Yes Man is a... thing that exists. Has the NCR been effective? Is the Legion actually as destructive a force as I thought. What on earth does Mr. House even want to do, and who am I to run things any damn better?
If I'm to make such a decision, I need MUCH more information. And I didn't have it. And frankly, it didn't feel like a decision that needed my input. All I came for was to find out who shot me, and why. And I got switched into something else entirely. There's not even an indication the plot was going to keep at it. He's dead, his goons are dead, and I'm walking around a building not sure who to listen to.
JRPG's are a massive pile of steaming shit
Don't get me started on Final Fantasy... that shit is not an 'RPG'
Banjo Kazooie is way better than Banjo Tooie.
>More compact level design
>less tedious character switching (which makes transformation feel more unique as well)
>Powers have a lot of purposes throughout the whole game (as opposed to all the eggtypes)
These threads are the most pathetic shit, do you really need a hugbox thread to be able to state your opinion?
do you feel unique just because your opinion is so "unpopular"?
