What are some prettyand funspace games /v/?
Sword of the Stars 1 is fun and held up well. Unfortunately 2 is shit. A real shame too because it had so much potential. I did manage to get Angryjoe to apologize to me in M&B over his initial review of it though.
Pretty? Probably want something like Sins or Endless Space. I'd recommend Distant Worlds though especially if you enjoy modding. Pretty much the whole game is moddable.

Fuck you, it still hurts.
>>262267460
it happened a long time ago. it's time to move on.
The Elite series are pretty good. The latest one (Elite: dangerous) is still in beta and, although beautiful, a trucker sim.
>>262267739
>trucker sim
ETS2 is my most played game from 2012. A space tucking game is not a bad thing.

>Spore

>>262272236
Distant Worlds?
Tachyon: The Fringe?
Aurora?
>recommending Starbound
Not a bad list, man, but it needs some work.
>>262272519
Yeah, it was a rough draft. I just quickly went through my games and picked out ones I liked.Yes, I liked Starbound. Doesn't really have enough to do with space to deserve a mention of the list though.
>>262272519
>tachyon
MY FUCKIN NIGGA
>>262272236
AI War
The Last Federation (I just installed it)
I know AI War is a god tier RTS, I hope TLF is a good 4X TBS.
>>262272519
What type of game was Distant Worlds? 4X, right?
It's been a while since I played it.
>>262273242
4X/GS

I still say Tachyon: The Fringe
>>262275246
It's in there
>>262275246
>>262275312
Disregard that, I suck cocks.
I saw just as I posted it.
Also
>>262275379
Goddammit autoreply, fuck you
Also, I like the inclusion of Starsector, I really like its complexity. I just want it to become more fleshed out.
>>262274741
Star Control 2/The Ur-Quan Masters
Space Pirates and Zombies is pretty good.
>>262276285
How is it?
I've heard it's a lot like Starsector but less complex, which is a dealbreaker for me.
I love complexity.
Freelancer is pretty pretty. Shame about /v/lancer though
>>262276483
Not too complex. It play very arcadey but has a lot of customization. I'm not familiar with Starsector.
>>262276726
I'd check it out, it's a really neat game.
Tons of customization, combat is fast and skillful, damage models are really good, mechanics are tight.
Prospector is a pretty solid Star Trek-esque RL and it's still in development.
>>262277469
I tried it out, it seemed kinda shallow.
Does it get more interesting once you invest some time?
