These threads should just be called "old mmos you want to see if anyone else on /v/ played"
That being said, I know some of ya'll played this game.
Someone post the greentext story of the guy who was addicted to this game.
The closest free WoW I played, was hooked for months
One of the worst and, at the same time, the best, parts of my life
It sucks being the only Korean in my circle.
Tons of people here played Gunz.
K-style shitters need not apply
Anyone else play this shit show? Was actually pretty fun for a grindfest before Outspark went full jew with their cash shop bullshit.
i remember gunz being popular because it was one of the earlier f2p games.
IIRC, whoever got the killing blow on the golden golem was the only person who could damage the enemy teams home golem effectively
I remember tearing shit up in that mode with the blacksmith
>Renaissance being better than anything
It was definitely the worst expansion and this was the best one.
There was some game a friend of mine played but i don't recall the name of. was some 2d thing with awkward ass controls. He was somehow a sub gm and a leader of a bounty hunters group on one character and on another character was the most wanted outlaw in the server. I'd recognize it if I saw it but I doubt anyone knows it. I played it at his house for a few days
this and slavehack
I'd be surprised if anyone ITT played either
why do good, classic MMO games go into the hands of such shitty publishers?
ToP is so shit now, the only way to make money is to have like a dozen farming accounts doing daily shit.
No one groups, all classes are shit besides crusader, no reason to play anymore
Despite being such a blatant WoW clone, EE was a lot of fun with its class system.
I remember playing a female cleric
I got married, red wedding dress. All paid by him. I didn't even know the nigga.
My contribution: FlyFF. It was the first MMO I ever played. I still play pservers sometimes. For like a week at a time.
>tfw I had the chance to make a Katana WM named Vergil yet I didn't think of it till it was too late
NO LONGER MOTIVATED
I got bored everytime I played this.
But I actually really want to play it again, I loved the atmosphere and SHINY ASS ARMOR HOLY SHIT HE LOOKS AWESOME.
Played Rubies of Eventide about 10 years ago. It was one of my first MMO experiences.
Lunia Online, went out with a whimper though.
I forgot how HNNNG inducing the characers can be sometimes. It was so good back then before Plus glitches.
I used to play this in beta, it was pretty cool.
Anyone still play it?
Zero online or whatever it's called now. It had mechs and PvP was the tits.
Some guild/fleet had a monopoly on rare drops that you would get from a mission and killed anyone not in their fleet. Game became shit once you needed those drops.
This game is so fucking innovative too, it's a shame it's not more stolen from, since the game itself ends up turning into a long and boring alt-tabbed autogrind after the second dungeon. The Pay2win is also strong here.
But goddamit, that system, the stance changes. The cities. The music.
I like the party system in this game
wish more MMOs did it
ask me anything, will be back in 10 minutes
this game could have been GOAT
Claw assassin stealthing and one shotting everyone in pvp was so OP i loved it
>The GM events
To boost popularity, the GM's decided it would be a good idea to go into low population servers with overpowered avatars and just go murder everyone in sight. It made no sense, the few people playing got butt blasted, no one liked the event, it was a nice shitstorm on the forums tho, good times.
>I've played almost every MMO mentioned here
>No one ever mentions Darkeden
Being poor sucked.
Sure it ran like shit and the artstyle was derivative as hell, but I liked it for some reason.
It was a fun little Maplestory clone, though eventually the grind got too tedious and my friends stopped playing it with me.
I have played so many terrible MMOs that I have lost count. They are so obscure and awful that I don't even remember their names. I absolutely loathe free to play models, but some of the better F2P/P2W MMOs I've played are:
Florensia (JP server few years back)
Mabinogi (with /v/ on release, they fucked it up later)
Age of Wushu
Vanguard was one of the highest budget games of all time, dude, it was the TORtanic of its time. Except it was actually decent in some ways and it definitely tried to do some interesting things. RIP.
>Try to play maplestory
>Too stupid to see that the anti-virus kit that comes with my PC's driver CD which, despite my beliefs of its inactivity was actually blocking me from playing the game the entire time
>Try this out instead
I liked the art style but I missed my friends and I couldn't really make new ones either so I don't have any warm memories.
I'm too lazy to look for an actual picture or screenshot but I played Red Stone for quite some time. Pretty sure I was the only one.
I got a cute Dutch grill to
fall in love with mein this game, thus tearing our guild apart with the drama that ensued. Good times.
List of shame
I wish I could stop playing this stupid game.
I played that game, and then they added the cash shop, and made it so you couldn't own your weapons anymore. Shame.
pic related is community in a nutshell. pulled it off google images if that says anything
played them all a lot.
I was the god king sapper of this game.
I couldn't toe to toe the asians but I didn't even need summons to top score the building damage boards.
>that feel when someone got the wraith gate up and put it on just the right incline so I could tear it down before the people chasing me in circles could land enough hits to kill me
>City of Heroes veteran
>Literally from day one to the final hours
>Early days were really rough, golden age was amazing, latter days were sad
>Technology-based Blaster with steampunk motif, named the Bronze Bombard
>City of Villains gets released
>Stay true to the Bronze Bombard way
>Encounter a villain
>Natural-based Fighter named Ghost Edge
>Fucker was edgier than a ginsu knife set
>We pvp over some stupid scrap of territory for hours, respawning and coming back for more
>First encounter ends with server maintenance shutdown
>From that moment on we were sworn enemies
>Talk shit in the forums
>Actively seek each other out in between expansion stuff
>Base raids for days
>Feud goes on for years, through the F2P change and onward
>News of shutdown reaches everyone and us
>Night of the Final Day, 12 hours remain
>Players are saying goodbyes, chilling in the center of town
>Not the Bronze Bombard
>Not Ghost Edge
>We never RP'd until that night
>With minutes left before the final shutdown, the Bronze Bombard and Ghost edge prepared for one last fight at the end of the world
>One minute left, we begin
>To this day, nobody knows who won once and for all
God Fucking DAMN I miss CoH but I can't imagine going back after that.
Played. Grindy, but pretty. Would recommend trying if it's around somewhere, get a feel, enjoy the fuckawesome soundtrack, and then never look back at it.
The dual class system was alright. I remember it being fairly big in germany, and some windmill dungeon.
I fondly remember being in the prototypal RP-based mercenary alignment, as pretty much the lower level in the area. Which allowed me to notice the interesting practice of aggroing a merc-aligned as an entry challenge for some guilds. Also, trap Sram was fun to play. Too bad the game makes fights happen as often as in other MMOs to progress, but the fights due to the tactical style are much, much longer.
Wall flipping simulator, I will never forget you. ;_;7
I actually played it with three friends. Our names were AlphaOne, AlphaTwo, AlphaThree and AlphaFour. We launched simultaneously, and got a message from some random shmuck that was fucking impressed. We felt super good. Had fun in the canyon area. Did a few things. Went for the mission in SPACE! Considered our duty done. It eventually got boring. But never has a synchronized takeoff felt so good. Was named Air Rivals though.
Other games I faintly remember include Silk Road Online (my standard for ultra-generic korean MMOs), Atlantica Online (who had interesting JRPG-esque fights)... Played others, but can't remember most of them.
I played RS when it was under another company which was just as much of a shill as OGP. Can't remember its name though. The server was quite populated iirc (even though I've yet to meet a single soul who has played this game on 4chan or anywhere else) as guild and turf wars were really fucking popular and always packed with people.
It's fucking sad, innit? Runescape USED to be like it. Kinda. Now it's pretty much its own niche.
You don't have to pay for fucking anything anymore for the most part, but it's changed into a 'kill this thing in one hit before it can touch you' kind of game, and the community is fucking abysmal, per usual.
It's still plenty alright, and a HELL of a lot easier to get into (especially on new characters, good fucking lord) than before. Rebirths are now free and weekly (daily up to level 1000), bank and shop bags and inventory bags are all free access, all that kinda stuff. But it's still a Nexon game.
It's dead as a doornail. The game sold under 500k copies initially, and I hear less than 200k players stuck around. It's a good game, but Carbine shot themselves in the foot with pants-on-head retarded decisions to make endgame near inaccessible, essentially forcing any player without a cliquey group of nerd friends to quit the game upon hitting level cap.
Ooooo these bring back memories. I used to play a few: Gate to Heavens, Rappelz, and one of my favorites Xiah Online (pic related). I miss the days when I could just randomly install mmos and have
I never knew about it actually. That's... Interesting. I guess?
Bro-opped my way through some of it with a friend. He was frontline, I covered his ass with a gun. So much fun times.
I hope for a sequel
I still play Runescape on the /vg/ pserver now and again
It's not a class system, it's just a talent thing. You pick a talent like Archer and all of the Archery related skills will level faster. That's all it is
>tfw you're really the only one who has played this or has mentioned it in this thread at least
Only played this for like a few days, but i'm sure i'm the only one in this thread who has played this.
This was one of the few hyped MMOs that I actually played for more than a month.
>Carbine shot themselves in the foot with pants-on-head retarded decisions to make endgame near inaccessible, essentially forcing any player without a cliquey group of nerd friends to quit the game upon hitting level cap.
Wait so the endgame is extremely group focused and difficult? That sounds awesome.
Terraworld. Before this I played a similar game made in the same engine called Asherah. Both never had more than 30 people online ever. Great community when you know every single person playing
They have this thing called Talents that you can choose on rebirth. It just gives you a slight variance in stat gains per levelup (a light bonus, and of course you lose all levelup gains ON rebirth so they don't add anything for the most part). The main thing about Talents is that they give you 2x skill training XP, so each thing you do counts for double the training requirements. Other than that, no, there's no class system.
I thought /v/scape died? I ditched after dumb shit that got posted and my ASF buddies ditched, including quietess.
I hope to god you fuckers played KwonHo. Why the FUCK did ijji get rid of it?
I bet non of you faggots played this glorious game
I literally made every clas/race combination till I found the one I liked because they would get or 2 unique skills because of the race/class combo.
Human rogue with bows was OP as fuck in pvp
Hell yeah. So much fun.
Is that game still running?
Posting my OC
>that feel when they made EXP boxes that dropped when you died that lagged the game
>that feel when they took out the blinking EXP bar when you died
>that feel when they added deleveling
>that feel when PVP was almost impossible in this game outside of arenas because they punished you way too much for it
>CHRIS I MISS YOU PLOX ;_;
I'm surprised there's even 50. I'd have expected MAYBE ten at best. Lot of us who stuck around on that one other server didn't want to have to re-grind fucking EVERYTHING. I think it was called 06prime, if I recall.
I'd be tempted to go back and help with development again, but eh.
Don't confuse "Inaccessible" with "Difficult."
Remember WoW attunement quests back in Vanilla? Remember Onyxia?
Well, take Onyxia and apply an even longer attunement, for every endgame instance. Not hard to get into, just tedious.
The actual content is hard only because the odds of you finding a group of people who actually did the damned things and know what they are doing and have decent stuff is slim when there are only about 200k total players in the game.
>All versions of Trickster Online have been discontinued as of January 2014.
I used to live on the onRPG forums. So I've played just about every free MMO released between 2005-2008.
It is actually, and it is. Too bad you will never EVER get 40 people involved in their 40 man raid. Really, it's a game made by people who think it's 2006 and their OC setting has anywhere near as much pull as fucking warcraft did. It's a shame too because it's a really neat game that did a lot of things right. But to have a chance as an mmo, especially with a sub, you have to get EVERYTHING right, and then some.
Well, it was pretty popular at the time, but old enough that only a few here would have played it at launch:
IMO still the only MMO to get player housing right the first try.
Could pay for a variety of small, instanced apartments with ingame money. However iirc there were a few guild halls and what-not that you had to buy with reputation points gained from raiding or something. Lot of thought went into it as a game feature, which I've yet to see again.
>only big name games and FotM mmos take off on /v/ or /vg/
>we'll never all join together and get like 100 of us on ffxi or digimon masters or dfo or any semi-ok games
>could avoid cash shop jewing with so many of us working together
>be the first master yoyojester
>be the first to get bloody yoyos
>proceed to rape the living shit out of everybody in PvP
>quit because the dragon was pure bullshit
God I miss v2.
Game was Remnant Knights. It was a fun, small community. Joined the first week it launched it's first closed beta phase, and stuck with it for about 2 years or so, till I was burned out. Which was about 4 closed beta phases and 1 open beta.
i wanted the digimon mmo to do good but i played it and it was just
Pretty much. I felt like I could practically hear Carbine snickering to themselves, thinking "Oh man, all those people who yearn for the days of vanilla WoW difficulty are gonna LOVE us!". They really fucked up in that regard.
i'm so fucking sad. I remember playing this game all the time a few years ago. Every evening after class i would just boot up Trickster Online and level up my Lion. The game was so comfy.
Even now I try to play it and it's just not the same. I will never forget the first time I finished the beach area and went into the desert.
>tfw farming for 10 hours straight for a badass gun that couldn't be used before level 120, but i was looking foward to it despite being only lvl 45.
Sorry gun, I let you down.
I will never forget the bros I destroyed shit on the que boat with. You could immediately tell what kind of person you were in a group with if you got pelted with a watermelon.
I used to play a game that probably no one play which I do not remember the name.
What I do remember is that it was in beta around spring and summer 2005, it had an asian setting and that they managed to fuck up the XP at some point which made many people including myself leave.
Also, they banned North American IPs around 2006.
Sunk about 1000 or more hours into this game between all the servers.
Graal was pretty fun back when it had a decent player base. Spent most of my days on unholy nation. Which by the way one of the main points of the game was collecting and trading cool hats. This game was a hat simulator before tf2 was even an idea.
This needs to get here faster
Nigga Vindictus isn't a game only you played. Even a couple days ago, I went to my local fighting game association for some fun, and around the barbecue, some guys were talking about this game.
There's a pull to spearing a giant bear through his gloving eye, or stomping a gnoll with a barrel.
Clodagh best grill
The actual one.
With the dreamcast modem, keyboard and mouse.
Fuck I poured hours into this game.
Holy shit this game. I remember why I played it now.
>friend weren't into Trickster Online, and I wanted to play a 3D MMO.
>They were all playing FlyFF so I downloaded it
>Worked like shit, always has BSOD for no reasons.
>Downloaded Nostale because it was "3D"
Man the dungeon music was rad as fuck. Too bad the game was kind of shit. My account is still up and I have no idea how to play anymore.
Also Mabinogi and WonderKing.
>there's new servers filled with people
>it's facebook/iPhone/ipad only
I tried it out and it was pretty boring. Filled with kids. And no zodiac server.
Zodiac was the best out of all the servers .looking back it really felt like a true MMO rpg type game compared to all the others.
I got into the beta for this game but something made me quit right after logging in and clicking on the first NPC. Perhaps my spaghetti of not knowing what to do made me quit like a pussy.
this guy>>261178464 makes it sound like it isn't that bad, even currently. It was so much fucking fun back in the day, with ragdoll physics and shit you could throw at your enemies.
Well shit, I genuinely did not think /v/ would touch this game. I had a fun time in both closed and open betas. Explorer was OP as shit with the range and that luck stat. Literally EVERY OTHER DROP WAS AN ENCHANTED ITEM, USUALLY +2 MINIMAL. And I wasn't even that high level, only like 20 or something at most.
This guy here. I didn't go recently. But apparently they made a guy named Karok or some shit, specialized in flinging shit at ennemies. So it can't be all that bad.
It's free anyway, so I'd recommend getting in here, making a few quests, destroying everything on the ship around the rollcall, and other such simple pleasures. When you want to quit, just look into what's on the korean servers way ahead of international ones that are going to take months to arrive. This, plus the gring post second environnment should get you off the hook..
>played this with #/v/snes back when it was a thing
Good times, good times, till they all kinda dropped out.
This game also caused a gigantic shift in my life and may be to blame why my life went into a complete downward spiral in a fucking hurry. To boot, it wasn't even the game itself that caused it.
FFFFUCKING BOTS WAS AWESOME
CONSTANT DASHING, GROUND POUNDING, THAT ONE POOR RAM WITH COUNTER WHO SITS IN THE CORNER GETTING GANGBANGED BY A DOZEN ENEMIES WHILE EVERYONE ELSE RUNS BY TO BEAT ON OTHER THINGS
THOSE FUCKING PEOPLE WHO WOULD RUN AROUND AND STEAL THE PARTS FROM THE BOSS
Never played the Uncharted Waters singleplayer games, but according to Wiki, they're similar. It's fun, but a very niche title. I guess if you like the sailing and exploration, you'd like the game, but I had a buddy I tried to get to play the game, and he said he prefers games with action. I didn't stay friends with him too long.
Played both of them, but If I had to choose between those two I'd go for GunZ, I played it for years and loved it, it's a shame it's sequel was dead on arrival.
Anyways, anybody played Rohan Blood Feud? It was quite pay2win back then but I suppose it must be even worse now, still, I think it was one of my first MMORPGs.
Some random video, I liked this class, but it was bugged/shit on the NA/EU version, Idk if it ever got fixed.
Graal Online: Valikorlia
I guarantee no one here has ever even heard of this thing. Still exists to this day, but has been taken over by, like, 20 fat insufferable autists clinging to their dying servers. The game is toxic as fuck now.
Can make your graphics, levels, scripts, npcs, and have them uploaded to the server for everyone to use. Made a good roleplaying platform. The client was made to be "Zelda online" and had a pretty neat sparring mechanic where you could fight other players all ALTTP slashy slash.
Now it's fuck all impossible to make an account on for the legit PC version. They made a shit-stain iOS version that's been moderately successful for some reason, although you can't even do anything in it.
Makin' me want to play it here Anon.
The thing I really liked about the UW singleplayer games was how different the storylines felt, even gameplaywise, as I went for the merchant guy, then the spanish pirate girl, and small starting changes made things oh so different, in spite of the possibilities being all open.
I faintly remember looking into the game though now... There -are- international servers right? Or it's only in chinese/korean/japanese?
rip Bomy Moon
Oh yeah, the machinegun is shit, but noskill, which made it fun for me to use it. SMG is such a great weapon. I can defenitely accept your comp, as long as you're not that one guy with a railgun, a hook/shield, and that weapon that sucks life without even having to aim.
It could have been something good. It could have been Castlevania the MMO with great soundtrack. But no, the gooks never liked anything good. Thus a forgotten death. Fuck you Korea.
I remember playing this everyday when I was in 5th grade.
That game was wonky as shit. It's either fun and you beating the pulp out of every living fucker in every game, or you getting beaten to a pulp by everyone, and regardless of either event it's still full of people calling everyone faggots, no-skilled, spammers, hackers, nubs, etc.
I can't believe I spent fucking YEARS on that shit all the way up until it closed down and changed hosting company. OG was a goddamn jew for their prices and items, but something about the game was addicting as shit.
Also, fuck those few assholes who buy fucking everything p2w then stat their shit out and do nothing but the cheapest shit. Fuck I mad.
>Using a revolver over a senty nell
Its like you want to suck ass at the game
I know there's an English server. I don't know if it accepts European IPs, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to try, right?
Also, I'm not sure how open-ended the storyline is, as I just finished the (really long) tutorial when I made my character and set sail through the North Sea, but I think the storyline is important for sailing away from Europe. The storylines are also not based on different characters, but nations.
All those moonlight matches, dear god. People completely invincible and lagging so hard they hit you perfectly but you didn't even land a hit on them till maybe one hit out of a thousand later.
I honestly miss the older time with the gem ranks. People would trade fairly, and mostly everyone was pretty nice and upbeat but greatly competitive in fighting. Then once the gem ranks went away, you could notice a drop in quality.
Favorite exocore, anon?
T4C (or : The 4th Coming)
Best MMO ever.
>Not being a Ram
What are you, a Surge pleb? Bipedal robot masterrace.
>mfw I got to rank 4 BVB and was widely regarded as the best non-autistic BVB player
Fucking BR's and an autist, man. Only people ahead of me in the ranks.
Man I forget how many shitty free MMOs were out there back in the day. After I discovered runescape, and the MMO genre as a whole, I went on an escapade to find a good free one but they always seemed to have some hang ups.
Ultimately I found WoW and that ended up being my go to MMO fix for many years. On and off of course. I played MoP, did some end game and then quit again. That was a good year ago and I still don't really have any desire to go back.
If anything it'd just be for pvp. A nice level 19 rogue twink is what I want.
You don't even know.
>unfamiliar with furry culture and degenerate shit like that
>played and kicked out of most communities because underage b&
>all you could do was walk around as a furry avatar and talk unless you went into a modded world/portal or whatever
>tfw remembering seeing dragon skins being sold for a hundred dollars by the devs
>tfw I wanted to buy one so bad because I thought it would be badass to float around as a dragon
Fuck man. Innocence and ignorance at its finest.
On that note:
I know a lot of people played it for a week or so a few times on /v/ raids, but I played it on and off for goddamn years it feels like.
Eventually I just took steps to isolate myself in a cabin in the woods irl, kind of works.
Localization was incompetent, and this game was really shitty, but I've had some of the fondest memories with my friends in this game
Shit was unbalanced and the moment the cashshop started selling Windrider potions I knew that was it. As if the rampart botting wasn't bad enough from the beginning already.
But man I would be lying if I said I didn't had the most fun in MMORPG from this game.
>That final month where all guilds united to fight the viet menace
>That staged ambush from the trees at the BR's base
>Guild drama and politics
>Cut throat nature of the open PvP world
I miss it all. It's a shame, I would have liked to see all the fighting styles and what not but after the Viet war, everyone just faded away.
because you played completely alone in instances after bots were introduced
Muh nigga. Heatsink was like the only place where Surge fuckers were even a big deal.
Ah man, the fucking cash shop ruined it. So many niggers turning into that fucking yeti and wrecking face. PVP was forever ruined.
THAT DAMN AQUILA GIRL
I'm fine with the others for the most part but people tend to let Oka's rape the shit out of the whole team
BUT FUCK AQUILA GIRLS
Little witch/necromancer, forgot her name, is best Cosmic.
>My face when the server died and moved to another host, forcing you to start anew.
Fucking OGP, I'm not restarting over.
I played with /v/ in the beta, played again last summer but nobody from /v/ was playing at all.
Oh yeah, do they play korean or english version?
Too much grind, yeah. Wouldn't mind a private server or something though.
I always want to play the FFXI private servers that get posted on /vg/ sometimes but its usually like 10 people playing who've already autismed to max and dont wanna do shit with anyone new
Dude, my bro and I developed our term for p2w cash buyers from BOTS. Coiners, after Acclaim Coins, and it's still stuck around. P2w? Nah, they're coiners.
Also, that Holodeck level. So much fun just pounding people's flooring away then running away laughing maniacally.
>Got a pixie and high-end sniper early in the game
>Don't even know how
>Don't care because I looked baller as fuck
RIP best waifu, thanks for the visor ;_;7
I also remember my times on a Lineage 2 private server. Went there with a bro. We had an utena-inspired trip, and used gear over out level to make slow-mo running on the beach. The server was buggy as fuck, and taking the ship was a complete mess in the most hilarious way possible, with spontaneous disboarding, clipping up the wazoo, and the thing being there only for one player.
It was so great when I later went on to play on an unbugged game, I found it complete shit and never caught interest.
Talking about futuristic tits, how fares Scarlet blade/Queen's blade/That one FotM with tits?
>No mention of DoMo
>No one remembers this smile and wave when you clicked on the character
This is down forever? Shit, I loved this game. I just wish it wasn't so grindy. Thats my problem with most MMOs though.
We need more flying MMOs. I just want to be Starfox,,,
Also: Star Conflict. It's still up and I still think its fun, but slowly bleeding out. Get to Teir 2 and don't worry about leveling, just have fun playing space games.
Fuck, I missed that somehow. Well have another for pointing that out.
That game is a fucking scam. Even the owners are thieves. I took a break from it for a few months so the owners figure my stuff is free game and strip my account. Those fuckers deserve to be arrested.
Only times I played this game there were only a couple people trying it out and a few devs who were nice enough to just give me everything I needed at the time and taught me how the game works
whoops forgot pic
and yes it plays like the mana games
Nobody here can even name this one.
It's still alive btw
My best friend played that, another friend and I, however played Silk Road and I know none of you played that shit because I came here when it was out and no one talked about it.
Fucking Monato Esprit. I'm VERY sure nobody played this but me.
The only thing I remember is that the game was fucking dead when I played it. I only saw a handful of people.
Don't even know if it's still up today, very much doubt it.
>Gate To Heavens
i don't even remember the name but it looked like some sort of anime mmo, isometric and people always just jumped around instead of walking. i think it was faster to jump and the jumps were like from one of those weird asian kungfu movies ie extremely impossible to do (you jumped roughly 4 times your own height).
when I was like 16 I did nothing except constantly surf between different F2P MMOs, playing one until I got bored and then look for another
so there are many that probably no one in this thread has played
I did fiesta, did it again earlier this year
progression felt acceptably paced to whatever level I played
None of you niggas have played this for more than 5 minutes.
I sucked ass in this game but played it so much because it stroked my boner for battleships
Anyone else ever okay this?
Yeah you got rekt by people in the big ships when you finally get to the battleship stage. Its pretty much impossible to progress further without spending assloads of money and time to gain parity with the people in the top tier battleships
It was fun as hell in the low level rooms though
Very innovative and very pretty for its time. Hell it can actually hold its own right now. Playing with 3 characters is more fun than it's supposed to be.
It's got great atmosphere too. Even if it's set in the age of exploration (Spain and Portugal taking over the world), it's still heavy on fantasy in the sense that the monsters are never generic in the long run. I missed the Phobitans, whatever the fuck those demon things were.
I wish I can play it all over again.
No one actually likes vanilla wow, they liked being a collage freshman/highschooler who had a ton of friends playing the same game at the same time. The actual game itself is and was pretty shit.
>the first campus mmorpg or some shit
>its just a typical mmo in a highschool setting
Mobbing was fun though
>not wearing the giant fluffy cow costume
>not getting the giant fluffy cow pet
>not positioning yourself on the stairs so that it looks like there's 2 giant fluffy cows having sex
RIP Dragonraja. the casting spells sounds are so cool.
>DARKNESS..LET THEM FEEL THE PAIN OF COLDNESS
ICE WALL! ICE WALL! ICE WALL!
Here's the town music for some nostalgia
The PC download version is dying, too. It's terrible.
The Classic server is completely dead. As in shutdown from two failed attempts to rebuild it. I couldn't believe it when a /vr/ thread last year encouraged me to check out how things were.
I remember when Valk was named Kharlia. Checkmate.
>mfw this Lycia scene in the Classic rebuild
Fiesta was my shit. One of the comfiest games I've ever played. Fantastic soundtrack, leveling was smooth and felt right. Doing those public dungeons and getting high level rewards felt amazing. Anyone still playing? Has it gone to shit? Archer master race.
I'm happy that DFO is coming back, but still..
I started playing this shit after I changed schools,
No one in my year played Runescape and the only guy who played any mmo's (This was in 2004 so huge taboo at the time) was this pseudo-hipster/nerd who "wasn't into popular games" (and when he did just wanted to talk about bullshit, His friend who was a Developer mod, of course, turning him into a tree in the wilderness and making him invincible, giving him free membership etc. etc., I was just unlucky that I was never online at the same time as his friend to get free membership too, I even sold him 100k GP for 50 cents in an attempt to get him to play, He used to lord it over me because he had the Halloween scythe and I didn't)
Anyways, I decided to try it out after he talked about how good it was in an attempt to at least have someone I knew in real life to play vidya with, I gave it a few days but still couldn’t work out how any of the stats worked, was completely unable to level up or change equipment because of bugs and horrible controls (your character would take 20 seconds to respond to movement clicks and would more often than not go in completely random directions)
This article sums it pretty well
Game is called Blade Mistress by the way.
Vanguard had some great ideas and really cool classes like the Disciple and Blood Mage.
It was dead on arrival though, the game needed way more work before it was released. Instead they released something worse than many early betas I've been involved in bug wise.
I didn't know MMO was a genre. I didn't understand character builds and sucked. I ended up with a glass cannon build only without the dps.
I think the game was pretty bad but I had fun with it.
could anyone help me to get a rear view of this outfit? been looking for hours with no luck, it's Melfi from cosmic break, some limited event reward.
I turned to this game since Runescape got boring without membership. I enjoyed derping around with trade skills far too much. Apparently the dev is working on V5 now, but after the failed attempt that was the Facebook version I've accepted the fact that I probably won't get to play this game again.
>not playing as a skeleton
Fuck this game was terrible
