>Party based RPG a la Fallout or Baldur's Gate
>All character's you play as are different mythological creatures
>Centaur is highly damaging to individual enemies, very fast; spears, bows, trampling
>Menotaur is crowd control, swinging wildly in every direction; maces, axes, clubs
>Lamia de-buffs enemies and buffs allies; staves
>Griffin swoops in for bites and talon slashing, very difficult to hit
>Hydra is the tank, not many damaging attacks but near impossible to bring down
>Siren uses it's song to stun enemies and heal allies
>Spider person (Think Quelaag) specializes in elemental sorceries
Would you play this game, /v/?
I really need to learn Photoshop so I can put these together.
I don't see any, but if that's your thing, far be it for me to judge.
>I don't see any,
You must be stupid, and blind.
Why are you so angry that I don't study an animal's genitalia, friend?
No, I just like talking in reaction images.
>A story driven game where you can branch off to many alternate storyline with significant alternation in the plot like Soul Nomad's normal/demon route.
>Lots of suffering, developed characters can die which close off some route and open others.
>You can build a talker, combatant or specialist and still beat the game fairly.
>Can use environment to deal damage. Ex. putting explosives at a nearby ledge to make concrete fall on the opponent.
>Lot of difficulty to choose from like Postal 2.
>Ending branches off based on your beliefs like SMT but with greyer moral.
> Historical, turn-based, 4X rpg a la Civilization
> Way more options besides war for what you can do to enemies: Rig elections, assassinate leaders and impose your own puppets, target specific city governments, simply influence them, etc.
> Language, race, religion, local and national culture all have elements in the game
> A lot more internal strategy since your own empire can fragment into different states if mismanaged
> A lot of different government types with meaningful differences between them (Different degrees of control, for example communism gives you a lot more direct control over your civ than, say, democracy)
> A different implementation of tech and science besides MUH TECH TREES, research is based on what's locally available (you can't research horse riding if you have no horses around you)
> Instead of pre-set units, you get to design your own units based off what you have available to you (you can design light footmen, heavy footmen, light horsemen, heavy horsemen, or any in-between based off your available resources and technology)
> All this shit I've thought of plus way, way more that would take up too much space to describe
Basically Civ with a shit ton more options
>you play as a necromancer
>create minions out of parts from the enemies you kill
>can create zombie, skellington, ghost, dullahan or frankenstein monster-esque versions of enemies
>come up with new minions via mix-and-match alchemy, botched creations will have severely fucked up stats
>you can specialize in each of the ressurection types, it will reflect on your appearance (lab coat when you create frankensteiny things, lich's robe with skellingtons etc)
I'll be teaching myself some C++ so that I can try my hand at this during my spare time. I can already handle art and music decently enough. Have absolutely no idea how to write stories or scenarios, though. How do you guys do it?
An Dragon's Dogma 2: Final Ultimate Max Electric Boogaloo with 20 times the amount of content (pretty much almost everything that's on everyone's DD2 wishlist) that spans over many different lands/cultures and many time periods where you can essentially start off as Arthur (Ghosts & Goblins) and end up as Mega Man (figuratively).
I will never need another game ever again.
>Your dream game is made and is fucking perfect
>It's for ps2
>Your ps2 is broken
>Don't have TV for it anymore anyway
>PSP port is unplayable due to the lack of second analog/second pair of shoulder buttons
>both PS2 and PSP versions can't be properly emulated
>The only way is to find another set of TV and PS2
>You'll never play it in glorious HD anyway
Can't you read?
PS2 emulator can't render it's graphics, and PSP emulator 100% hangs when you move camera up.
And it was like this for years.
>not attacking 12 times per round after losing a couple of heads
Also, why are there no Nagas? Or Manticores? Or Minotaurs? Or Chimaeras?
A mix between Star Wars Galaxies and EVE Online, with X-Wing vs TIE Fighter style battles, though you could also take command of ISDs or Mon Calamari cruisers if you have enough influence or whatever in either faction (plays kinda like Homeworld, though with a with Silent Hunter like bridges and comm channels through which you give your orders and so forth. There could also be several guys commandeering a single capital ship or have hired NPCs (with levels and RPG customization and shit) take over the different stations.
On the ground it plays out like Star Wars: BF, where you can bring in your armies and fight out the actual battle.
Through trade and economical influence it will also be possible to gain some sort of control over a planet and thus its ressources etc.
You done goofed, son.
So, a Lamia?
Extremely similar to a gryphon
I wanted it in there too, but I couldn't think of a unique skillset that wasn't already taken.
gryphons are the best
>A flying lion with a scorpion tail
>Slashing with talons and biting
>Only difference being it can sting people
>Implying that's not the definition of extremely similar
>playing Tactics Ogre
>have a griffin on my team for a while
>slowly get tired of it
>look at my other non-human party member choices
You know what the awesome part about a lion is? It's not its ass. It's the head and the mane. Why would anyone want a griffin when they could have a manticore?
Let me guess, muh EAGLES or some shit. Shouldn't you be asleep America?
I don't have any particular connection to eagles, no. The poison is already covered by the Lamia, so why would I want a manticore when I have a griffin? It fills the exact same role. Why not pick the one I prefer the look of?
Because a lions body is more robust than an eagle body? Because it incorporates one animal more and that other animal is a fucking dragon? Because it shoots poison arrows out of its mane?
I don't know, but I just don't see how a griffin would be better. Except maybe for taming and riding.
>Dream Game General
A World of Tanks/Chromehounds-esque 40K game.
>Griffin swoops in for bites and talon slashing, very difficult to hit
Or just more griffons in general. Underrated fantasy creature.
i wish gryphons would have been a tad bit more agile in dragons dogma
A griffon that big wouldn't be so agile.
Hanging out ;3
We gon get banned :o But yeah, playing Blazblue Chronophantasma
i dont give a shit about bans m8, they dont mean anything
also I still havent picked up bbcp because
i gots no one to play with anymore
who do you play?
My dream game would be a fantasy mmo that has melee combat exactly like chivalry but with loot and magic elements. If your character dies and isn't revived you have to start a new one, players could make money escorting carts through trade routes or through being bandits. There could be a main plot line as well
I don't care either lol. I just picked it up today, so I don't really know who I'm gonna like. But I used to play Arakune alot in Continuum Shift. Thanks for the griffons, I have suprisingly low burds.
ive got more than just birds, but i figure i'd just post gryphons because another featherbutt i know loves it when i post them
=] Yeah, post whatever you want. I also got Ninja Gaiden Sigma, but I haven't touched it yet. I need a bf who likes fur. -w-
i finally beat my game
i can finally go to sleep
posting best for last, im out of here
Have a good night. :3
>open world of fallout games
>FPS style combat based on the frostbite/battlefield engine
>third person similar handling, myabe like mass effect. both swappable
>customisation of dragons dogma
>stupid level of customisation, eg can reload your own ammo with specific loads, projectiles etc
basically fallout made by a competent game studio
Mods apparently have given up due to Quinnspiracy.
lets proceed then.
I don't know, man. It suddenly feels oddly empty when there's no opposition from some anti-fun janitor or the Adeptus Astartes, but do keep dumping. It's nice to see decent stuff without having to wade through tons of shit.
EVE with castles. Essentially just a medieval European sandbox players can com together and form guilds to build castles and mines or do some farming and defend their holdings from rival guild or even join a mercenary company and fight for the highest bidder.
MMO's biggest failing is that they try to hold onto a narrative. From a development standpoint you get put into the impossible position of keeping everyone happy by constantly supplying new patches and content in a timely manner, and most MMO's are not big enough to support this. This is why they fail so easily. The solution is adopt the sandbox style. Just give players the tools and let them create their own story, just like EVE.
>study some C++
>think about dream-game
>start out simple
>little by little add elements
>at some point realize that it's an utopian overbloated piece of shit that not even a 300-head veteran team could pull
Every time. Anyone have Unreal 4 license? How has that worked out?
Sure, but the dedication is the problem. One has to pay rent etc.
Wonder if I could pull some autism- or crazy-bucks out of somewhere...
>What is Might and Magic 8?
Dragons, vampires, trolls a minotaurs can be in your party
