You don't get it, the face buttons are positioned in such a way that a thumb tilt allows for a button press, rather than a lift. It's more ergonomic and allows for quicker action in my opinion. However the c stick does suck, and the d-pad is rancid as well. Analog stick is comfy though.

I liked it, was really sad when the buttons started dying out.

The newer models(F310 and so on) are absolutely horrible though. R2/L2 were made into fucking triggers instead of just being buttons, and they changed the shape of the controller because of this. Now it's incredibly uncomfortable to press R2/L2 especially for longer periods of time and also if you need to be fast at it. The only advantage the newer models have over the old one is the switch for DirectInput and XInput.

I've recently been playing Twilight Princess because I never touched it when it first came out because I just assumed it would be broken as fuck with the Wii controler and now I'm thinking about getting a Wii U soon, so I wanted to get back into the swing of it and TBH; the Wii controller isn't actually that bad. The remote and nun-chuck feel a lot more free than a regular game-pad and The octagonal analog stick feels not too bad at all. Personally, I find it awkward to press the buttons or d-pad when they are at the bottom, while using the joysticks at the bottom seems only slightly weirder than using them at the top.

That's because the design of the controller made it counter-intuitive for devs to use both the dpad and stick. If the controllers was actually well-designed, then games could have been designed around both.

Maybe it's just because I'm a PCfag now, but this is my absolute favorite. Felt like shit when I first used it but when I got used to it, holy shit. Kicks the DualShock's ass. What's great about it is when you need to mash a button. Those big overhangs for the triggers let you jam your index finger up on it and mash the fuck out of the face buttons very comfortably if you run into a tense moment or a shitty QTE or something.

D-pad could use some work, but at least it's better than the 360's.

When is Logitech coming out with a new series? I'd buy it in a hearbeat, even at $50.
