Sakurai has always made the Smash games based on the target demography of the console the game was released on. The Gamecube was aimed towards more advanced gamers, so Melee is more technical. The Wii was aimed towards people who are new to video games, and Brawl reflects that. The Wii U is aimed towards both groups so Smash 4 should be somewhere in between Melee and Brawl.

I'm not going to be any less hype/surprised when the stuff is officially revealed. Hell, the Haggar leak for MvC3 didn't stop me from feeling like king of the world when he was officially revealed.
