No, it's a really good console and I've gotten quite a bit of use out of it.

Luckily not at all. I was moving countries and given the problems of region locking and having to import games my Wii U was gonna give me I sold it not too long after purchasing and made back my initial investment, which I then spent on a Vita. It's been a lot of fun and is an absolute life saver with all the flying I have to do, currently I'm playing Hollow Fragment which seems to be a surprisingly well realised anime game.

I got my Vita ridiculously cheap thanks to a sale (Argos selling off the 3G model super cheap) and the fact that I worked in the Home Retail Group Head Office (the company that owns Argos) meant I got my Staff Discount as well as some vouchers I'd won in an office competition.

I've mostly enjoyed playing indie games on it and also PSOne classics which are made better by the second stick. Even playing PSP games on it is much better thanks to the second stick and better screen.

So far I have finished FF7, 8 and 9 on my vita, and I am part way through X and X-2.

The only things I really dislike about it are that the screen is too dark in sunny conditions, and the shape/controls get uncomfortable after a while with my adult hands.

They said they were working on getting Carnage Heart EXA on my PSN, if they pull it off I don't regret it one bit.

I sold it to try and regain my footing. Now that I'm feeling better I miss having gotten rid of it. Don't buy Toukiden yet, the ultimate version is coming out very soon in Japan, so it'll be localized in a few months. In Soul Sacrifice Delta you play as a prisoner of a mad wizard and while waiting to be the next in line of getting sacrificed you come across a magic talking book which allows you to relive the past of another wizard who personally knew your captor. The gameplay is mission based and there is a lot of lore to read.

Gravity rush validated my purchase of a vita by itself. After getting the platinum for it (something i rarely do), I wanted more, so I bought all the DLC and played them through.

Sony has already jumped off the train of handhelds and considers the Vita to be a failure. The lack of support from Sony is almost baffling.

after I messed a bit around with the sensitivity options I got used to it really quick. It turned out to be really useful actually

The same exact feature made aiming in Killzone mercenary really fast and easy. Just do the larger aiming with the stick, then fine tune your shot with a slight tilt of the vita and you are golden.

I just fucking hate the skittles and the proprietary cancer I need to have on my PC to transfer files.

I figure what I'm really asking for is a better PSP, which this thing so far has not been. Slow as shit PS1 emulation (as for some reason it's emulating a PSP that's emulating a PS1), nowhere near as great battery life, etc. etc. etc. And I love that for all the whining people did about how handhelds had to have dual analog sticks because they were the future, the amount of games that are better on Vita and actually make use of the fucking things can be counted on one hand.

Still, that screen is something else, especially for 2D games. I think the OLED tech isn't quite mature yet, and cameras as well as a front and back touchpad were a fucking dumb idea - but over all it's a decent handheld that I wish would have seen support.

It's still the best argument for a handheld so far, but despite everything it always comes down to games. The 3DS is a piece of shit but it's got a middling to decent library. The Vita is an incredible piece of hardware with an absolutely godawful library - one or two gems notwithstanding.
