>mfw Chronoforce in ZX Advent has a YEAH button
Does anyone really hate X7?
I don't really hate it. I just ignore it.
There are some games I hate because they're gigantic betrayals, ruinations of good or promising franchises. Other M, Mass Effect 2 are examples of games I hate.
X7 I can't hate.
BURN TO THE GROUND
BURN TO THE GROUND
BURN TO THE GROUND
BURN TO THE GROUND
I really like X6 actually. It's among my favorite X games because it's so fucking bullshit that it circles back to somewhat endearing territory. That might just be my inner masochist speaking though.
>TFW finally got a chance to get a new console
>Deciding between Playstation and N64
>X4 just came out
>Picked Playstation just so I could play X4
Don't regret it
>Sixth grade of elementary school.
>Just got a PS1 and Megaman X4 (the game was new), loving the game.
>There's this weird looking girl who has a crush on me.
>She comes up to me and talks to me.
>Don't want to talk to her and don't know what to do.
>Start doing Zero's idle pose from X4.
>She immediately starts running away.
>Get called into the office, she says I was apparently making a threatening pose.
>Explain that it wasn't my intention to be threatening, my parents defend me and I get off scot free.
Remake of Zero series with X-style art and sprites, triangle-saber need not apply
You know how sometimes a theme never leaves your head? Like you could never touch a game for a decade and that theme will still pop up in your head from time to time?
This is one of those themes for me. I swear to God, I will never forget this theme as long as I live.
It's Korean, if I remember right.
I thought it was
actually on par with X3 in just about every way; introduction of a new playable character who played exactly like X save for a key difference, uninspired bosses, average/meh music, tried something new but flopped.
I don't blame you though
>one time a girl was suggesting me for some shit teacher was asking volunteers
>do the motion of 'no' with my hands around my face letting her know I want no part of it
>she yells loud enough for the entire fucking room to say 'YOU WANT TO KILL ME?'
I really like X6, too. The crazy bullshit, the new Zero, the awesome new armors, and that amazing soundtrack. Personally, I liked it a lot more than X5. X5 was just kind of okay with a lot of little annoying bits. X6 felt like it improved on some things from X5, like Alia interrupting you, and it had some cool concepts, it just didn't get enough development time.
PREPARE TO BECOME
>boss meter fills
that theme was sweet as fuck though
why does this guy have a better and more terrifying theme than sigma
Most people started on X4 or X8 seeing as the playstation was the most popular fucking console ever.
That or they just like that it tries harder with the story/has prettier graphics.
I always felt like X1 and X4 were the height of the series. I've beaten X2/3 once but they left marginally more of an impression than X5 did, which I found to be ultimately mediocre.
>There will never be a Maverick Hunter X4 where the story is retconned so Double ends up killing the Colonel & framing X/Zero for the act, then when Zero has to fight Iris, X interrupts the fight to show Zero & Iris what really happened to her brother, therefore allowing Iris to live & go on to be in Maverick Hunter X5 & X6
I love the Dynamo, Spider, and Lumine ones.
Someone needs to do a Megaman X thing where X has an unwanted harem of Reploids all wanting his piston. Zero, Axl, Dynamo, Vile, Gate, Lumine, Spider, Colonel, Signas, anyone I'm missing?
4 is pretty good, I like it better than 3.
Magma Dragoon alone kicks the shit out of any boss in 3 I'd say
Fully playable Zero
hmm that's about it I guess
the snes games are definitely the highlight of the series but if you're a fan of them why wouldnt you play 4,5, and 6?
When he rolls at you, dash jump away and then immedately back over him.
When he throws that lightning boomerang shit at you don't jump over it, dash under it.
Stay away from him in his wrecking ball form and dash under when he's about to break loose.
You should be able to do it, he's one of the easiest bosses.
Poor Axl. If only he had debuted in a better game.
>that Zero in the rear
I don't think the X series has any BAD games, maybe except for X7.
Shame MHX got canned, could have been pretty cool.
Never got why she got a boobjob in X8, but I'm not complaining
>tfw lost your copy of Mega Man X and some others SNES games
I would buy it on Wii U, but I like the feel of the SNES controller better.
Command Mission X is the best X design
I kind of liked that game too
It's one of my favorite games of all times, I've played it start-to-finish so many times.
If I could change anything, I'd have made the weapon and armor system a bit more in-depth. I dislike how the weapons are also the armor and they just drop your speed stat by dfferent amounts.
Fun fact in earlier builds of the game the donuts didn't even fire shots, making the mid-boss battles even more pointless.
I really hope that Archie gets to do an X comic series, provided that the Mega Man comic and especially the current four-issue Classic/X crossover prove popular enough.
>pencils: Pat Spaz
I gotta read this fucking comic!
Fuck the third one. Those lower hitpoints are simply impossible to hit. Here's one guy analyzing the worst level in vidya:
Let's not pretend that all the Gate levels weren't fucked. Or how you had a random chance of running into High Max at the end of levels instead of the normal boss, possibly even without the weapon necessary to damage him. X6 is chock full of bad decisions, but there's something to be said about overcoming it all. It's not impossible (most of the time), just really fucking bullshit. And I find that oddly endearing.
The Mega Man comic is really good and it's gotten quite popular. I think the X comic is very possible.
Also, I'd kill to have a Sonic/X crossover. Imagine this but with the stage Maverick bosses and the special Mavericks (Vile, the X-Hunters, the Nightmare Police, Double and Colonel and General and Iris, Dynamo, Gate and High Max, Red, Lumine, and Redips).
>tfw I have the offspring CDs with these tracks
How were those bad? They have to have some down time between game adaptations, and those parts do some awesome world- and character-building and set up the game arcs nicely.
Read the Super Adventure Rockman arc and the two issues before it. I guarantee you will enjoy them. Ra Moon is fucking EVIL, and the comic doesn't shy away from the dark and scary the game had.
No. Shit flat terrorist villains while the doctors act like holy patrons despite almost destroying the world. Twice.
I can't believe anyone else actually played Super Adventure Rockman, though. That getting hit animation was so fucking annoying, holy shit.
They had a total of one arc and one issue, and their leader has a minor role in the X crossover. Also it wasn't Light's fault Wily stole his bots and tried to take over the world with them. Stop being such a baby.
Rosalyn Krantz and Guild Stern are two of the best original characters in the comic, and Tempo is a nice addition with a compelling backstory. And the comic delves much deeper into the consequences and after-effects of the games' stories in cool ways. I'm sorry that you're angry that the comic isn't simply a retelling of the games one right after the other in the most minimalistic way possible.
>hating on Tempo and complaining about original stories that flesh out the world and characters
Sucks for you to have shit taste. Have some Splash Woman.
Badly-drawn-background-man is both black and white
>mfw the artists had the hyadain vid in mind
my conclusion for the videos and other released by inafune, the migthy no9 is an Axl with another look. he has a backpack that he uses to fly for short times, rapid shot and can transforme in an almost exact copy of his enemies.
A-at least MS Paint Masterpieces is still active
Fuckin' love that comic. Only one Donut Steel and he's literally a one-off joke with no real importance throughout the story beyond being rescued by Mega Man.
>done manually without any tools
It doesn't work like that.
I have the Legends version of that.
Something about Megaman X4-X6's music makes me nostalgic. I didn't play them until I picked up the X collection in 2009 so I don't know why.
I found most of X3's soundtrack to be average to be honest. Big fan of X6's though.
Pretty much everything in Command Mission was great too.
> unfair with checkpoints
Nigga X5 and X6 give out checkpoints like it's nothing and lives don't even mater, getting a game over and continue just sends you back to the last checkpoint
