I was playing co-op and it was a blast, levels are filled with interaction and are so fucking dynamic. Everything is bursing with charisma, the soundtrack is excellent.
I think the controls subtracted a little bit of my experience.Using ZR+ZL to grab is weird, and as Donkey Kong is always running I often miss my jumps for thinking that you can jump farther holding Y, while to jump farther you have to roll first, and for that you must run a little bit before pressing the Y.

Eh the gimmicks aren't that bad, it's literally as easy as blowing while playing no where near as jarring as the slashing etc on the original wii. It doesn't happen that often, though you can blow whenever to cheat and see invisible items. I haven't played W101 to verify if that's bad, but in 3D world I barely noticed it.

Unfortunately I'm not affording even an ounce of tolerance to forced gimmicks, even if it's only a couple of levels, and some captain toad levels. I'm passing on 3D world if it forces me to play the entire game on the tablet so a few microphone activated platform levels aren't unplayable. I dealt with that shit for 6 years on the Wii and am not doing it again. I don't understand how anyone other than a 5 year old can find this bullshit appealing, and it is intrusive to the game.

Otherwise, the more I think about it, the more it seems like just about every wii U game worth owning has pro controller support, so I am finding it a lot more appealing. It's just too bad about 3D world

But I wasn't talking about a console. If my posts were directing praise to, say, the PS4 for instance, then you'd have a valid reason to be angry. However, I'm talking about the PC, and I can prove every single thing I've said. Better hardware? Check. Better games? Check. Better support and communities? checkarooni.

You can be Wii-U + PC idorts if you think that's the best, but don't ever for a second think that the PC and everything on it isn't the shining light that's saving the industry.
